Dang, thanks for the reminder @Blackcats, really thought I might just be able to gazump them. Ah well, I couldn't be doing with the hoovering anyway

Haha thanks @in_need_of_direction, I expect nonsensical aims like that have very much not helped us if the council are hoping we'll give up and they can stick an unsightly unsuitable block of 'affordable housing' on it!

    Sun! Some actual sun!
Okay, it rapidly turned into a slightly brighter grey than it has been, but an improvement

Did an online order as with paying for delivery it's still a saving on stocking up on my cleanser that they have on offer, that I can't get a good price for round here. Made sure to choose the cheapest delivery slot so that's what I'm doing with my Friday night 😂

50 minute walk in the slightly brighter grey, found 4p

Prepped a pasta bake for dinner *and* did the washing up

20 minute walk with Mr PIP for beer with camra discount

Looking forward to finishing our bedtime story tonight, we've been reading An Antidote to Venom by Freeman Wills Crofts that I mentioned ages ago and on the last chapter now... it's a rum do I tells ya

Sun here in the dank old north east midlands too! Most unusual. Soot & Ash just running around the garden for joy! I was out there too, though not running, obviously.
I found 5p today but it was in my own pocket, so it doesn't really count as extra money. It's gone in my change tin - the contents of which took a hit playing cards with nephews over Christmas.

Definitely counts as extra money if it wasn't allocated anywhere else before @foxgloves, especially with pesky nephews winning at cards! Love that Soot and Ash were running around outside joyfully. And pleased for you that you weren't running 😁

How do you keep finding all these coins.  I suspect there are a lot of teenagers round about as some of them seem to think coins are beneath them.

I walk a lot in busy areas and keep my head down so as not to make eye contact with anyone @badmemory 😁

I think I'm going to try to keep a tally of books read this year as I know others are, and I'd be curious to see how many it actually is. I've only finished one so far but I do have on the go 3 main, 3 occasional, and 2 carpet walk books, so it's not as disgraceful as it sounds. First book finished was the fourth in the Thursday Murder Club series. I cried through most of it but thoroughly enjoyed it all the same

Oh, forgot we finished our book last night so that's two this year (I'm including ones started last year as they've been finished this year!)

Sun! Though cannot wait for sun that doesn't make the temperature lower. Good old cloud cover 😁

    Shoulder gone mad. Exhausting.

20 minute walk getting olio bread
    Tiny bit of spec work

Popped over to mums who had dug out a hand blender she doesn't use, and is letting us have it as long as she gets a cut of anything made with it 😁

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning another 1k

Dinner is a medley of mozzarella sticks, garlic bread, hummus, peppers and cucumber. Or a bag of chippie chips if I'm too shoulder tired

I've challenged myself to read 100 books this year, @PiP. I'm including audiobooks too as long as they are not annoying abridged versions, which I can't stand. I have always been an avid reader, but have never kept count before, so I'm not sure how close to the 100 I would normally get. So far, I am really enjoying writing each new title completed onto my list. Reading always seems like a good use of my time, internet scrolling not so good, too many rabbit holes. I am a news junkie so have to watch the time I spend 'needing to know things'. We have recently taken out a weekend Guardian/Observer subscription so apart from daily headlines, I am getting my more in-depth news from those, which is freeing up more time for my reading challenge.
I think your dinner sounds very tasty. I love dippy stuff. Though I think in our piglet house, we'd have that for a starter & talk ourselves into the chippy chips too, lol. Hope I haven't been a bad influence.
