Yesterday's main mse thing was getting back up North before peak fares.
Neutral mse thing was Sainsers pizza meal deal so not wholly mse but at least it wasn't takeaway.
Not so mse was going for a few beers but we had a nice time- we were chatting with a pub mate who is having a dreadful time at work which, while I'm not glad to have a chronic pain condition and no money, did remind me the grass ain't always that greener.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the things to be done so I guess I'd better just get on and do them!

I have anti histamines on prescription for urticaria. If I miss one and sometimes even when taking them I become incredibly itchy all over so I can symathise with you knocking them back.

Oh that's so horrid for you @ladyholly, I'm glad you at least get hopefully much cheaper prescription ones.
I will never stop being shocked by the price difference between well known brands and standard antihistamines, paracetamol, ibuprofen etc when it is the Exact Same Thing1 -
Today's doing the overwhelming too much to do things: (okay now I write it down it doesn't look like much but if we can bear in mind a couple of days ago I slept for eleven hours and could have done more and still feel like I'm owed it!)

25 minute walk getting fruit from aldi and pasta from olio, found 4p to take off my I.O.ME
Prepped pasta bake for dinner, including using some rather sorry looking courgettes
Half wussy situps
Recycling out in several stages for a few more steps
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning all the cash please
15 minute walk meeting friends for beers as they're leaving the country soon, and they insisted on buying the beers
Hoping for a bit more of a chill day tomorrow but as we're off to the seaside on Monday and need to do many things before then it seems unlikely! Looking forward to it anyway though
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, and if not, do something now to sort out whatever the problem is- no bad vibes on a Sunday, you know the rule 😁 x

Sunday's doings:
Went out for a 30 minute walk to collect some wholemeal rolls and a couple of bananas from Olio as a nice start to the day, walked out of the flat and a man came off his motorbike and was pinned under it. Fortunately there were another three people on the street to help me get it off him and move it out of the road. Blimey motorbikes are heavy, obviously I knew this theoretically but I hadn't realised just how very heavy! Thank goodness he was in London, if he'd been in that position in the middle of nowhere he'd be there for blimmin days or worse

Finished off a product trial project
15 minute carpet walk
Resisted going to the pub even though its a lovely sunny Sunday, got some cheaper shop beers and sat in the communal garden instead, and took £10 off our I.O.MEs
12.99 to go for me until I recoup dental cost! Gawd I hate being even more skint than normal, will be very glad to get back to having no money in the usual way 😁
Dinner is some yellow sticker potato salad Mr PIP spotted with mozzarella sticks from the pizza meal deal the other night and some garlic flatbread from the freezer with leaves on the side
Mr PIP picked up some ys sarnies for the train journey tomorrow to our family friends place by the sea, because it's not a holiday unless there are train sandwiches 😂

Definitely need sandwiches, preferably YS sandwiches for a train trip. Will you complete the tradition with a flask of tea and a currant bun? I would like to have light refreshments in the buffet that's in the station in Brief Encounter - the only place I want to be if I get some soot in my eye.

Tea and a bun sounds good @Blackcats but I worry about needing the loo and the train toilets not working so will be sticking to water, and we did get a sharing bag of minstrels too for emergencies, such as not having any minstrels0

I am fortunate in that I get free prescription as I am over retirement age. At least I do at the moment but there are rumours that pensioners will lose their free prescriptions along with the heating allowance.

Hope the motorcycle person was ok and full points to you for helping. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I do hope not @ladyholly. The heating allowance decision is very odd, such a comparatively small amount of money saved economically and such an emotive subject, seems a most peculiar way to set your stall out for a new government. I can only think they have great faith in their plan for a British energy company so they can swoop in and save the day from, um, themselves. We shall see
Aw thanks @redofromstart, he was okay, though must have been extremely scary for him in the moment, and quite scary for the rest of us to try to run across the road to someone shouting 'get the pipe off my leg'!
He was in full protective gear and wasn't driving irresponsibly or unsober or agitated or unwell, just an unfortunate turn in the road where he wouldn't have been able to foresee the change.
All was okay in the end, though I imagine he'll be needing a stiff drink and a long bath tonight! I was grateful there were other people around as I wouldn't have been able to get it off him by myself, and couldn't exactly b*gger off for help what with him being trapped on the ground in the middle of the road on a turning! Hooray for the overcrowding of London for once 😁2
