We will have a rummage @EssexHebridean but the smart meters were only a few months ago so who knows where they've plucked a random from. He could only get an online account with the smart meter installation. They seem to think that because he only paid for what he used he should give them money to cover rate rises had he used up more of his credit in that period 🤷‍♀️

Yay! Won a competition! Worth £350! Le Creuset and Filippo Berio! It was my absolute favourite comp I've entered lately, I am so pleased! Seen the comp running in a few places so congrats to all the other winners too 😊

Plastics recycling and charity bag done, 25 minute walk, found three books.
Aldi's wine of the week is a rosè usual price 5.99 reduced to 3.49 if any rosè fanciers live near one, I got a couple of bottles for summer evenings
Cleared some books from mums for ziffit pile/next charity shop bag, and got two tiny plant pots from the pile I've got from Olio/street finds so can transplant some teeny cuttings

Entered some more competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a diamond ring but I would also like a case of nice wine to sip while I admire it. And 1k to raise a celebratory glass to. Possibly on the Isle of Man trip 😂

Had to wait in for boiler check, I really wish these companies would do better than 'between 1 and 5'. That's not a bloody time! Ah well, at least he got here at half four and not five on the dot!

Mr PIP eventually got through to Thames, who have asked for a couple of alterations but nothing that'll involve the council thank god. So tomorrow's job on top of work is chasing the surveyor to find out when he can do them, desperately hoping it's Very Very Soon

35 minute carpet walk reading and prepping dinner (pasta bake with use it up veg and loadsa cheese)

Other client has sent over brief for tomorrow

Some little bits here and there of the flat and days to-do lists

Going to open our last bottle of winning cava and relax for ten minutes then on with the evening client work!

Well done on the comp win 🥳 What a blooming pain about Mr PIP’s energy bill 😞 Hope he can get it sorted and he doesn’t have to pay out on what sounds like someone else’s responsibility.

You cannot be charged for energy used more than 12 months ago if:

• you have not had an accurate bill for it before, even though you asked for one
• you have not been informed about any charges due via a statement of account before

Can you cancel your direct debit for the gym before they get a chance to take anything? Also sounds worthy of a formal complaint.

Thanks @redofromstart and @Sun_Addict, I'm well pleased- though of course don't know how good the prize providers will be at actually giving me the winning items... but no point being negative in advance!
We shall see what utilities response to the email is.

Thank you @stymied that's really interesting, will make a note. Not sure where you got the gym aspect from though- if I can say one positive thing about my financial/physical situation, it's that I've never pretended to myself I might magically turn into a gym-botherer if I throw enough money away not going!

Ha not at all @kayannie, do let us know of any wins! Also as @LadyWithAPlan has previously said, look out for things when you're going about your day, it's amazing how much people don't see packaging or shop signs etc when they're not actively looking
