  • That's one of the vague ideas @WelshmansDaughter but we'd be taking such a stupid risk, as we need to get a build mortgage and aren't rich enough to have two mortgages!

Thank you @Blackcats. Obvs Trooping the Colour is entirely in my honour 😁
Looking forward to winning the omaze house, I'll get the cheese and onion crisps in for you 😂
Thanks, every time we think it surely can't get more ridiculous, it manages it!

Financial doings- got paid for a couple of surveys, Mr PIP and I have discussed and since work income is slow and I have to pay tax on survey earnings anyway, I'm going to start paying myself the remaining half and sending other half to the flat pot, so that's all in the relevant pots.
Withdrew the nationwide £100 to current account and flat pot.
Had a savings account mature with over £500 quid in it so the 'change' is in the nationwide holding account to cover phone bill etc.
£400 to current account, feel a bit better now it's not looking as sorry for itself! Am treating Mr PIP to takeaway pizza tonight from it.
£100 to the shiny new Christmas pot I've set up. Unlikely I'll be able to add any more but will certainly be glad of an extra hundred quid come December!

    Half wussy situps

30 minute walk going to meet Mr PIP for a Friday beer, got the free paper for the crossword. Not having the healthiest week but not particularly sorry to be enjoying all the birthday treats!

  • Happy Saturday everyone!

Mr PIP took lots of boxes round to his parents

    Shower and hairwash

45 minute walk getting a bundle of Olio foodstuffs (and got given opened but ample bottles of Tia Maria and Creme de Cassis as a bonus!)

    Spec work

30 minute carpet walk reading and putting laundry away

    Some comping

    Bits of domesticity-
little sort here and there of boxes and bags watering the plants
    changing the towels
arranging my birthday flowers- I like to spread a bunch out between rooms to get the most from them!

Dinner is pasta and splodge (and champers 😂) at mum's, she's getting the tins of fish from the Olio bundle in return

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I'm all discombobulated, so waiting for joints to go extra ouchy. Could do with a day in bed, feeling a bit stressed about how much there is to do and I have a big client job this week then family friends are here the week after. However I'd already made arrangements to see mates this afternoon so will just have to blimmin well enjoy myself!

Need to do washing up, laundry, a survey, attempt to manoeuvre my shoulders into brushing my hair, then see if there's time for a small lie-down and read- which will probably turn into see if there's time for another small task!

Have a good Sunday MSErs 🍻

I hope you remembered that a degree of recharging is needed, and so DID enjoy a small lie down with a book!

More good vibes for the council being kicked into touch by the councillors and reminded that they are actually meant to HELP folk move forwards with stuff, not just ignore them and hope they go away!

    Monday's doings:

Joints bit sore but not as bad as I'd feared so that's a relief.

Responding to a council tax email first thing, that said it had terminated the account, when I had quite clearly set out the change of address situation. Is there a single authority of any type in Britain capable of just carrying out a simple task that they exist to do?

Pasta and open jar of sauce that needs using for dinner. Hoping to get some more bits off the to-do list this evening but have now collapsed in a post-vacuuming heap!
