    Hi @rchj4

Our new layout did not change the way the Search works.
But there is a thread here about an issue we're currently looking into.

Notifications...do I REALLY need to notified that a thread I have bookmarked has 3 new posts...and 5 new posts...

    It is clunky.

    Shame. It should have!

Agreed, it was the first thing that should have been changed.

I can't find my way around this new layout ! Always like to see peoples charity shop recent purchases . If I put charity shop in the search all sorts of inappropriate stuff appears . PLEASE change it back to how it used to be !!!
You can bookmark the threads you are interested in.
I think this is the thread you want:
Shop Charity in '23! - Page 92 — MoneySavingExpert Forum

Near the top, just to the left of the red + 'create new' button, there's an icon for bookmarks.
Click on that and when you log on, go to 'bookmarked threads' (on the right hand side of your screen) and that thread will be shown.
Do the same for all threads you are interested in.

I don't think there's any chance of going back to the old layout.

I agree @Pollycat. Personally, I wouldn't want to as it needed an upgrade but I'd have expected a new version to be fit for purpose. This one is so full of bugs and requires so much additional navigation that it's tedious to use. ☹️

Currently still quite tedious - I agree - but small steps forwards (it would have been nice to have had this 'tested' with a wide cross-section of forum users before launch - and I'm confident quite a number of these 'bugs' we've been dealing with would never have made it to the final cut - but there we are, we are where we are).

On the plus side notifications on the bell appear to be better than they were, as they now include other threads other than this one. I still get a ridiculous number of 'new posts' for several threads that are obviously not new posts as per the attached pic where I'm told there are 1843 new comments on discussion: The Top Easy Access Savings......

So - a small step forwards - but still ten steps behind where we were.

Sorry, there are too many posts to go though to check if this has already been mentioned (can one actually search only in a specific thread?):

When I log into the forum via the app or website (via my mobile), there's an option to stay logged in.
Yet I don't think this is working well.
Changing from the forum to e.g. News, then back to the forum, I have to log back in with username and password.

Or even if logged in via the app, surely staying logged into the forum more permanently would be an option.

    Thanks 👍🏼
