That is nothing to do with the new forum style,  it is the CSS behind the HTML of the e-mail which your phone is not interpreting properly.  I had no problem with this morning's e-mail on my desktop computer, so the CSS coding must be fine - I suggest closing it and re-opening it on your phone.  If there is still a problem, it will be with the e-mail software you are using.  Can you go to your e-mail account online via your browser to look at the e-mail, perhaps?
    Thanks.
The email is perfectly fine on my laptop.
It's the first time the MSE email has appeared like this.
It is the only email in my inbox that appears like this.

Am slowly getting used to the new format but still find navigation cumbersome.  Three things I don't like:

    (1) The rolling drop down menu at the top of the page that appears whenever it's hovered over and covers a large section of the page so you can't read what's underneath it.  It should be a definite click to make this appear (I think someone else mentioned this earlier).
    (2) The newspaper style front page - too busy, too many (large) photographs, doesn't add value.  A simpler and less cluttered layout would be better.
    (3) Would prefer the 'Mark All As Read' button for notifications to be at the top of the drop down menu rather than at the bottom.  It took me ages to realise where it was!
Point number 2 I agree with - very annoying, but I guess I could live with it.
Point number 1 I agree with in bucket-loads, it's driving me up the wall!  Even if nothing else changes, please could this point be addressed?
I do, however, like the Quick Links on the right-hand side of the page.  Makes it much easier to find your own threads/replies, rather than having to go into your profile and navigate from there like it used to be.

Apologies if someone has already mentioned it already and I appreciate this one is only a minor point but I thought I'd mention it anyway. This is appearing on the RHS of every page of the forum I visit:

I wouldn't mind too much if it was showing a recent piece of MSE news but the article was published 2 months ago, the Hanley Economic branch saver it describes was withdrawn from sale weeks ago and the interest rate on it is now 5%, so I'd say this bit of news is slightly out of date.
Glad to see it’s not just me with that - I thought Hanley had decided to go TOTP again until I clicked through 😂
If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

I've also not received any email notifications since 13 July. That will be two weeks tomorrow, surely we are due an update.
Oh !  I have just received this of yours by email in the normal way, first for couple of weeks...is it starting to work again ?

Your reply also send me first email notification since 13 July, but a bookmark thread updated 5mins ago and I didn't get a email for that. So it seems to be only newly joined threads that are getting notification email, not threads bookmarked on old forum.
I've tried turning all my bookmarks off (thankfully only a dozen or so) and turning them on again, will report if that does anything...

I toggled the bookmark subscription off and back on on three threads bookmarked on old site, and one of the thread just had a post and I got a email. So it seems toogling old bookmarks off and back on restarts emails if you haven't had any
Just unticking and re-ticking the bookmarks did not work for me. I eventually found my way into the notification preferences and ticked the email box that says "New comments on my bookmarked posts" and now it seems to be working.

Yes, email notifications are coming through now, which is both good and annoying.

What I'd really like is an option to turn off notifications from individual threads I've commented on. I think there's an option to turn this on and off generally, but am I right that we can't select specific threads to do this?

I think the best system would be to have an option in settings to automatically bookmark threads we comment on. That way we could then choose to untick that setting, or leave it ticked and then unbookmark any thread we want to.

Page loading on my laptop, either of my laptops so it's not a specific laptop issue, has become so slow that it's now virtually unusable.
It's taking 20 or 30 seconds to load a thread page today. Other pages with less content take around 10 seconds.
It's like being back in the 1980's waiting for pages to load over a dial-up modem.
There is not the same slow loading problem on my Android phone, connected to the same wifi so not that, and I use the same browser on all 3 devices so it's not a browser issue either.
Indeed switching browsers on the laptops also makes no difference, still painfully slow.

I'm finding it annoying that every comment on here is sending me an email even though I have emails turned off completely for posts I've commented on. Just glad it's not advents time as then it would be a nightmare  :D

Notifications for specific threads would be good.

    Hi @EnglishWelshie

Could you double-check that there aren't any settings that could be causing you to receive emails.
