It would be useful to find out where the forum is in terms of how they want it to be, what's still being worked on, what's never going to get changed, what's still on the 'nice to have' list - not necessarily 'we'll have it done by Thursday' - but at least a bit of a progress report.0

Let's Be Careful Out There3 -
Considering that the change to the forum was announced just days before the launch, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect responses after 2 weeks.
To be fair. @MSE_STEPHEN has occasionally posted some advice on navigating the new format.
I'm sure the many, many issues posters are having can't be fixed overnight. Is it too bold to expect some sort of acknowledgement/explanation /apology for unleashing this onto users? It was obviously not trialled widely enough to iron out problems before launch. Why?? 🤔3 -

It would be nice to know what's happening even if it's just "Sorry - that's the way the website works and we're stuck with it"
Although "We're still working on a solution and we're nearly there" would be better...1 -

Edit: I'm sorry. I am sincerely grateful for such an excellent (and free) website and forum.0 -
I take your point @dealyboy. I'm sure we all have accessed various free sites from time to time, decided they're a clunky mess and never looked at them again.
Martin Lewis' intention in setting up the site and forum was to encourage people to discuss and share money saving tips. The site may be free but if it's putting people off posting then it's defeating the object.7 -

I'm gradually getting used to it but it wasn't broke in the first place. Why change it?
My current bugbear is that big dropdown windows appear automatically if I hover the cursor over the menu lines near the top of the home screen. One of them goes away if you just move the cursor but the other one stays there until you click anywhere off it. These windows that automatically appear are a real nuisance. Please remove that feature.4 -
MSE, I have a suggestion for you. If you are genuinely interested in our feedback and asking for this is not just lip-service, why not do a poll on some of the elements that a lot of us have been critical about.
E.g. conduct polls to see:
1) How many users like the drop down window that opens when you scroll over it
2) How many users like the red 'new post' button being where it is
3) How many users like the placement of the 'Report button'
And so on.
Of course, it's only worth doing this if you are prepared to act on the results.
Blu XXXI am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!
When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.7 -
Two things ...
- I don't know of any other organization or operation as part of its change management would invite and publish feedback (and criticism)
- there is a survey page https://survey.alchemer.eu/s3/90589288/Feedback-on-the-new-Forum-look
Maybe the (hidden) reason is that they are waiting for the number of pages to get to 100(sorry that's three things).
