I'm have mild dyslexia and the new forum is just too busy. Too many distractions. It feels like it's all over the place. What happened to the standard forum?
Why such a radical change. Using this forum feels like hard work now.2 -
I think it’s fresh and user friendly, a lot of us complained when it changed last time (me included) but we soon got used to it.Personally I think this will get easier the more we use it.It’s great on the iPad.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Get rid of the right hand side of the page, i.e. Quick Links, MSE News (these are already at the top of the page), recovering that horizontal space (about 40 % of the screen width) will allow threads and posts to be tighter, perhaps reducing the vertical space used by about 50%.
Change the colour/tone of the posts' page 'surround' from light grey to dark grey. A thread post 'box' layout/colour, as I write, is good.

Does anyone use other similar forums? How do they compare?0

As there wasn't any replies to those who asked about the "upgrade", I think that will answer your question.
I did wonder about the timing of "upgrade" seemed to roll out not long before standard home-time. I can understand why now.
Also, doesn't mean they were listened too (just look at the response to the feedback on this thread).
There is no way a pool of heavy users would come up with the layout design we have now.
Let's Be Careful Out There0 -
I cannot find how to mark all as read

The indicator showing the number of new posts should go back to the left of the title. The new layout makes it really difficult to skim down the list of topics to see what's new.And I don't think it's a good idea to have the Report button right next to the Quote button.2

87% of those who voted in a poll (now closed by MSE) thought the new Forum was worse than the old Forum. It'll be interesting to see if the criticism is taken on board and action taken.

Everything’s too big, too much white space, too much scrolling on a tablet. What on earth was meant to be wrong with the old one?1

The main problem I had when we changed from the old style forum many years ago is that it froze and I constantly got thrown out, when it changed to the previous one to this one, I'm hoping that this 'new' upgrade won't do the same, so far it has been ok but I fear that if that happens again I may end up going back to Instagram and restarting my debt free page on there.
I will wait and see.Current debts - Lloyd's card £4130.00 (0% Oct 23) - Barclaycard £3400.00 (0% Oct 24) - Lloyd's loan £3640.00 - Curry's £441.00 Total owed - £11,611.00 Credit card total owed - £7,530.00
Aiming to kick the debt and lose the weight by the time I'm 50.
