I do have one POSITIVE thing to say...
and that is that it now shows the first couple of lines of what a post entails, not just the post title.
This is better, as it allows you to get a gist of the post without having to open it.
a bit like the old hover, which didn't work on mobiles anyway.
So there you go....that's all I can think of as an "improvement"
ETA - I knew it was too good to be true. This feature only happens in "Recent Discussions" NOT within a board. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
I'm not sure yet one problem is notification pop ups on my posts, you have to press onto the profile symbol to see if you have any notifications for your posts. It would be better if you could see them straight away.1

This is the equivalent of putting square wheels on a bus and asking people for feedback on the comfort of the ride, everyone saying it's unbearable and the bus company reponding by saying they will change the brightness of the lighting.Have the people that made the change actually tried using it? Whoever was responsible for this should be looking for a new job.6

Luckily I reduced my time on here after the previous changes a few years back and just set up a favourites section with a handful of sub sections and spent a lot less time here. Logged on to find my favourites page gone and this awful new upgrade so I can finally delete the bookmark for the site.0 -

To add my comments to the already long thread (which no doubt will be ignored) is that it is a dreadful upgrade/improvement. On Chrome the page sits too far to the left - as I type I feel like I am leaning across the page. I dislike the layout and cannot easily see the threads I normally read. Last time you 'improved' I left for about a year. I suspect this time I may not come back. It was good while it lasted. It isn't good now.3 -
Where do "my favourite" forums appear on the home screen when using my phone?0

don’t like it, the colours make it difficult to read, navigation is difficult1

I'm going to reserve judgment until I've used it a while and found out how it works for me.
A couple of comments however. On the home page there are forum categories over two screens. The "Work benefits and business" one is missing. That's where I find the pension forum, and is a loss for me. I'd also like to agree with the dropdown menus. Even moving my pointer across the screen, without pausing seems to trigger a large dropdown menu to take up half my laptop screen.2 -
Dumbed down (ostensibly to help phone users and newcomers) Hutber's Law ('more means less') applies.
The more something is claimed to be 'improved' the worse it gets.
This redesign is too reliant on graphics (probably assuming most people no longer read) so you have to scroll past the images to get to where you want to go. Is it worth the increased effort to achieve the same result? Not for me.0 -

As there wasn't any replies to those who asked about the "upgrade", I think that will answer your question.
I did wonder about the timing of "upgrade" seemed to roll out not long before standard home-time. I can understand why now.0
