I feel the timing of this thread is woeful.
This "new look" must have been in the works for some time.
So it was decided to open a thread just before the weekend when the staff are off.
It would have been so much better to have it on the Monday and then someone could have actually replied to concerned posters.
Let's Be Careful Out There1 -
I'd like to know how (or if 🤔) these changes are piloted. It would be good if mse asked in advance what sort of changes would be welcomed. Surely, the best people to advise would be those who use the site.
I agree with @HillStreetBlues, that it would help if mse were available to answer questions.1 -
NOT AGAIN !Solving the existing problems is not a priority...driving people crazy uselessly is...Somebody has too much time in their hands !And... no, these "systems which they usually end up accepting are superior later on" Are not being accepted as superior, we WERE MADE to accept them, since Martin sold it.Or is it that not enough people have left and you want another migration ?COMMENTS, OF COURSE, WILL BE OVERLOOKED... SO GET ON WITH IT !
Thanks to those who help us to win !1 -
That is what software packages are all about - upgrades to the latest version to provide new functionality, fix bugs etc...all normal.1

When an upgrade doesn't work and has to be reversed, it doesn't provide new functionality, fix bugs etc.
Don't you remember the last 'upgrade'?3 -
Never mind a new look, how about some basic functionality like being able to edit your post, or being able to find your own posts as a new user.

Finding your own posts, if you bookmark a thread when you comment that might do it?2 -
Look at your profile. If you go view profile and scroll past all the ridiculous badges it shows you “discussions” which are threads you have started and “replies” which are any replies that you’ve made to any threads. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
