    Good morning everyone :hello:

Aussielass - I really feel for you, you "poor" thing........

Hester - I know I've said it before, but I do love your blog! It sounds like it'll be lovely to have a break from your lodger, but does she think that there will be porters at the other end to greet her with her endless amounts of luggage? :p

Penny Pincher - (((hugs))) to you.

(((hugs))) to all those that need them and  to everyone else. ;)

Yesterday was the last day of term. Hurrah! I am now sitting on the sofa with the laptop on my erm, lap :D and watching the breakfast news! Bliss! I've been looking forward to this moment for a while. The last day of term wasn't too bad as 7 children weren't in from my class. Sadly the most hyperactive one was in, but at least we didn't have to cope with some of the other "characters" on top of him! :D

The children (parents) were embarassingly generous with their presents. I always feel so guilty when I get presents from the children as I'm only doing my job in teaching them. The children were so excited about giving me the presents that I had to have a big unwrapping session. Needless to say, they all got a thank you note.

Our plans for our holiday to New Zealand are coming along nicely, but it's going to cost more than we initially anticipated. I don't think DH actually realises this yet, so I'm going to try to come up with a financial plan of action to present to him tonight. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any overtime that he can go for, so it'll have to be practical and quick.

So, plans for the day are to:
    a) actually get dressed :o
    b) drop cards through all our neighbours' letterboxes - there seems to be a nice group of people up this end of the road.
    c) sort the tyres on my car - ie try to get some new ones!!! (money set aside for this, so it won't damage my plans for our holiday!!!)
    d) wrap DH's presents.

    Bye for now

    Morning All

I've just woken up and the munchkin is still asleep. We put her to bed in a fleecy sleepsuit last night and havent heard a peep since 11pm so it looks like she is catching up all warm and cosy.

I need to go and pick up a parcel later and then its my works night out in Liverpool we are going for a Curry at a great restuarant. I'll get the last train home so it won't be a late night. Tomorrow I'm taking my sis to the airport as shes flying off to Egypt for Christmas.

Finally I have to tell about my bargins at the Charity shop yesterday. I got Disney videos for £1 including a still sealed addition of Snow White. So glad we didnt get rid of the video player when dh wanted to now.

    Have a good day

  • Morning all. Hugs to PP, I hope it goes well for you, and to Saxy1, what sad news.

No frost here this morning but it's still quite cold. Dropped DD's car off at the garage for its MOT so fingers crossed it gets through. We don't need any more bad luck here this week. OH has gone into work fully expecting to be told that he's out of a job today :( so our Christmas may well start off badly. There had just better be a turkey waiting for me at the supermarket on Monday otherwise I may just self combust.

Have a nice quiet day planned today, just tying up some loose ends - probably including redecorating the Christmas tree which keeps falling over  , I need to re-hem my nice warm winter coat which has fallen down (beginning to see a theme here, hope it's not icy out ;) ) and practise my solo part for our Christmas carol concert tomorrow night.

Good luck PP! Have a great day everyone, keep warm (except poor Aussie!).

Last day of school today, and also last day of work for me HURRAH!!! I start back on the 2nd Jan, but the children are off until 7th Jan, so im really looking forward to having them here.

Im sat here at the moment with my dressing gown on, as im dyeing my hair. I only hav one LO here, and shes helping me - we are having a proper girly day!!! After ive rinsed the dye out, we are going to finish making her angel we started earlier in the week - and then i really do need to hoover, the LOs i had earlier in the week hate the hoover, and we have been out the last 3 evenings, so im ashamed to say ive not done any since monday, and it really is starting to show!!! The LO here today likes the hoover, so will prob help - so more fun there!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
