Morning Guys!
Very cold here this morning.
WM is on and DW has been emptied.
Please send me good vibes for this afternoon. My appointment is at 4 and will fnd out if they are keeping me in after some more blood tests. I will take my bag just incase and fingers x'd I wont have to stay in.
Boots have their half price sale on already online and last night I couldnt sleep, so I ordered all of next years birthday/anniversary pressies for the grand total of £40.05 as I used a £10 voucher code also. So in effect £100 worth for £40:D ...treated myself to some lovely posh choccies too!
Must go and have a shower and my breakfast.
Hugs to all.

Morning All
I finally got out of work at 6.30pm last night - that's a 13 hour day and I didn't even get a 5 minute break. They've not even offered me time off in lieu. If I'd have gone, the biggest story of the year would've been missed and then how they'd have moaned.
Got another long day today as it's my final working day before Christmas so need to get everything done. Can't believe they gave my colleague this week and next week off.
Hoping to get final decorations up this weekend, drop off presents to people and made the final sweets, mince pies and mulled cider!! Oh and sleep!
Got to do the last Mr T run too for the veggies and last minute things we always forget to get!
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Happy Yule - last day at w*rk today and last day of being the boss - double yay!!!!!! Oh how Ive hated it!
There is a dead fish in the tank - there's no way I can deal with it so I'm pretending not to notice - eeeeeeeew. will get dd22's bf to come round and scoop it out tonight.
Well dd11 is away now till sunday or monday so I am home alone - just me and my panic. I'm pretty much there but will walk through the xmas lunch tonight and make a last list. I have told exoh that he must not bring himself or dd back unless he is totally organised and in a happy mood. One of the least treasured of our post split-up xmas traditions is that he arrives on xmas eve, calls me a c-word, and then driknks himself into a stupor. He has been told that it will be his last here if he does that again.
Little dbro and his gf are off to Holland this afternoon to spend xmas with NZ dbro and ddad.
Pen-pin - fingers, toes, legs and eyes crossed for you today - if they do keep you in it's for a good reason.
Hester - be prepared for lodger induced suitcase dramas today - whenever I have travelled by coach they limit how many bags you can take - sorry for adding to your woes - I may be wrong.
have a good day all and hugs to the poorlies and overwhelmed - this time next week there'll be nothing to show for it but some challenging leftovers
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

PENPIN - good vibes coming your way from me for this afternoon. I'll be thinking of you at 4 o'clock. Hope they don't keep you in but, if they do, they'll have good reason to.
MRSMIX - i hope you start feeling better. My cold has definitely been helped by some Lemsips and echinachae although I still have a headache but I think that's the coughing. Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.
HESTER - good luck - I'm sure it will be worth all the hassle getting her on the coach if it gives you a break from her. You sound as if you need it!
Well, I've tidied upstairs - DH said he'll change the sheets and hoover up there tomorrow so I'm not one to turn an offer like that down! I shall just concentrate on the downstairs, the food, the rest of the wrapping up, the business paperwork, meal planning for the days surrounding Christmas. Mum will be here from Sunday till Wednesday, then BIL and SIL will come for the night on Thursday and I don't want to spend too long standing at the cooker, so I'm looking for no-think meals that can be cooked in one pot in the oven or on the hob!
Well, I've had a shower so I'd better clear up the breakfast things and finish my shopping ist!
See you all later.

Good morning good people,
I hope the poorly people are feeling better today, especially the littlies. My cold is on it's way out hopefully. No frost here this morning, which is great as due to a malfunction on MIL's part, we have to drive to Bangor with SIL & family's presents (MIL has gone away and before she went put out 5 bags of assorted dog food, dog blankets and dog advent calendar for SIL to collect when she came for the dog, but not her christmas presents, grrrr!).
Pen-pin, I hope they decide you don't need to stay in, but if they keep you I hope it's not for long and that they manage to make you feel a bit better in time for christmas. Will you be able to let someone know how it's going if they keep you in?
Take care all of you.0 -
Morning. :snow_grin
Very cold here but no frost whatsoever. We must have had all our frost last week.
Pen pin - Thinking of you today and hoping it all goes well for you.
Mrs Mix - Lets hope you can chase that cold away and get more sleep tonight.
Taplady - Glad you've got him home again for a bit. Even if he brings laundry as a pressie.
Well, OH is now broken up for the hols. He discovered he'd got a slow puncture when he got to work yesterday and couldn't get the tyre off, so he about turned and hobbled home, blowing it up on route. Took a couple of hours. All fixed now but it took him most of yesterday. Was supposed to go in till 11 today but he's told them he'll give it a miss. They're pretty flexible.
Baking day today. Planned iced buns, HM sausage rolls for lunch and a sticky date cake, which I've been trying to get made for days.
Take care everyone and hope you and yours all get better quickly.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

DS is sound asleep (as usual) His father is coming down tomorrow, so he'll be spending time with him (Not Christmas Day tho, I refused)
The bathroom is now dry......if you didn't see my post last night, I decided to paint the bathroom windowsill, and ended up painting the whole lot :snow_laug
Still, it looks good for Christmas!
