OS DAILY 21st DEC

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 20/12/07. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Amie :hello: LOL, I'm not hiding, honest :D

    Christmas pudding today :D

Isn't it strange when you PM someone you've known on here for a while and when they reply, they 'sign' it with their real name. I always think 'that can't be your real name, it doesn't suit you at all' :rotfl:

We didn't go to grandad's yesterday, he was out. He has a better social life than we do :D We went to Cirencester instead. We have to pick up BIL (the nice one lol) from Bristol airport at 3pm, mr tru wants to nip in to Argos at Cribbs Causeway on the way. Nip in?? NIP IN?? Argos + Cribbs Causeway + the M5 at this time of year requires military training :rotfl:

I have the house to myself for about 4 hours tonight, I can't wait :T

Well, I suppose I'd better get the washing on

Ooooh yes we had snow, I was really excited about it too :D

Morning all. Just a quick one this morning because I have to get DH up in a minute. We have a very hard frost here which looks like snow; it's very cold - I thought it was supposed to become milder by the end of the week. No doubt, even though I don't plan to go out until about 10 o'clock, I'll still have to defrost the car. I need to go to the Co-op for my main food shopping and I'll get the fruit and veg today, as well. It'll keep well in the shed in this cold weather.

Well, I felt quite ill yesterday and coughed quite a bit but, touch wood, it seems the Lemsips and Echinachea may have done the trick, touch wood. I hope so - I resent getting another cold so soon after the last one!

I still have loads of wrapping up to do and only today and tomorrow to get organised because we're picking my Mum up on Sunday - at the moment there's nowhere for her to sleep because the spare bed is covered in presents!

DH said we'll have fish and chips for dinner tonight but I'm not sure either of us will want to go out and get them so I may think of something else not-OS (one of those ready to heat curries) or something. I could do with a day off from food prepping!

Well, better go and get the porridge ready and make Sir's packed lunch.

See you all later - hope all the poorly ones are feeling better now and that all us girls manage to find some 'me' time during this mad panicky time!

    Good morning everyone,

It's been a bit hotter here today. :D Looks stormy. DGS was a good little boy last night and went home around 10am this morning. DD on the way home. They've already knocked off. I made some elderflower cordial today. When I returned home I hunted around for a plant. Their as rare as hen's teeth over here. I've been keeping my eye on it and there were enough heads on it to make cordial. I'm using Csarina's recipe that she kindly PM'ed to me when I was in Wales quite a while ago. I"ll bottle it tomorrow. I am soooooo excited about it. :D

I'm just about to walk around the island when it gets a bit cooler to hand deliver my cards. Why waste postage when I can do it by foot. :D I hope all the sickies are feeling a bit better today. Tea tonight is Potato & Carrot pancakes. Potato & carrot's home grown of course. :p:D

    Have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Hot shower, body lotion, pamper my feet. Catch up with Everwood while wrapping presents and eating the huge bar of Dairy Milk that the woman on the till in WH Smith's made me buy :D Yes, she made me buy it - by saying 'we have some chocolate here at half price' :rotfl:

    morning everyone.

sitting here raging. just checked online banking and Virgin mobile have only refunded part of what they owe me. I am so angry, this has taken forever to sort out and I will have to phone that dreaded call centre yet again. could do without that today.

got to try and get son appointment at the GP at 8. when I phoned yesterday only same day appointments are available. so fingers crossed I get through before they all go.
must finish christmas present shopping and then turn my thoughts to the food shopping. have to nip out with a few more christmas cards for the neighbours. I miscounted yesterday.
