Had lentil soup at 2 pm, some toast at 4 pm and a shower at 6 pm. Have wrestled the bag of clothes into the WM (currently have one dress hanging up to dry but just had a t-shirt on for most of the day). Collected the bags I emptied yesterday to refill, a large bottle of fizzy water (will refill with tap water afterwards but have decided to ditch the ones I've been using) and a bottle of antibac handwash that came from mum's (it was what I kept out when I removed nearly everything else for the viewings - then it went in mum's shed, came here and then was stuck under the kitchen table for weeks because I had nowhere to put things.
Grateful for
- just breathing, not being sick
- the lentil soup tasted a lot better than it looked (the toast was wonderful but then toast always is).
- part of the W's order came, not expected until next week (decking boards and parasol still to come). I have loppers (just need to practice standing up (that's why the shower didn't happen until 6 pm, was wobbly before that)9 -
Today I killed Henry II, so I went off to The Greek Boat Shop and now I am the proud owner of Henry III, managed to get him for £130, Henry II lasted 9 years, so I really can't complain. Henry II was losing his suck anyway when he went pouf!Made toad in the hole for 6 for supper, with veg and gravy, and baked some pecan and choc chunk cookies while the oven was on for their lunch boxes tomorrow.Made £11 on p/a so that can go straight to the cc for Henry III.Just seem to be waiting for people to get back to me on the phone/email at the minute. I am an impatient wretch.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today has been a costly day but with benefits. While still in bed this morning, I paid for holiday accommodation on new AmEx card. Took out the card for nectar benefits after it was highlighted in Mr Lewis’s newsletter. I should now qualify for the 20,000 points/£100 in Saneberries vouchers. Also by paying our weekly groceries from Saneberries with the card, our points have been adding up a lot quicker than usual. The annual fee for the first year is waived. After the year, it’s £25. When the time comes I’ll weigh up whether the fee is worth it for us. But for now I’m pleased to be getting free money. This evening I have taken out a new home insurance policy. Renewal quote with current insurer was actually good but another online quote was 6p cheaper and had a £37 cash back carrot dangling from it.MRI went fine. I distracted myself on journey there and back with listening to an engrossing podcast series about JK.Rowling’s ‘fall from grace’. MRI results come from my oncologist in a couple of weeks.Picked up DS from Mum’s and got a ‘wee’ report from the teacher… DS had taken a wee in the playground. 🤷♀️ He says he was bursting and couldn’t make it to the toilet. Didn’t give him into trouble but explained that it was inappropriate and he’s never to do it again. I suppose it’s something we can bring up in 15 years at his 21st birthday party!Grateful today for the NHS, for time to listen to podcasts, for an easy dinner from the freezer, and for tea

Today I am grateful for receiving some lovely emails, for the sunshine, for my counsellor, for a quick chat with our postman.

Hope you feel better soon @grandmanerd, rest & take things easy.
Glad your MRI went ok @ldee2111 & your radiotherapy @Toni'sfriend.
Thanks for your anniversary wishes.
Had a brainwave that I could make stock with the chicken carcass, then make a stew in the slow cooker, before breakfast, so no yoga done.
No word from DH all day. Work went well. Dropped GF at the house as I passed on the way to my massage. DS1 forgot to serve the stew for them both before she went to work, but said she could get something there. Got each DS to do a job to help me. I phoned DH, he's been diagnosed with sepsis, so will be in hospital for another 3 or 4 days yet. Updated family & close friends, then did some hand sewing on the memory bear.
Grateful for phoning the Dr on Monday, the DS's helping, offers of help from other people, my massageUse it up, wear it out

Morning lovely turtles
NSD 4 yesterday. Had a training session at work which was interesting, then did a long gym session at lunchtime. Spoke to my sister about arrangements for her potential "digital nomad" visa to come and work in Spain, it's looking likely that she will do it so I need to get the ball rolling with it over here, all very exciting.
Bf got a very healthy tax rebate so his money worries have lessened slightly which is great news, and his parents have offered to help him out too, which is ideal because he was too embarrassed to ask.
I’m working from home today, having lovely slow morning writing, drinking coffee and listening to the rain outside (I swear its never rained so much in June!)
Grateful for all the positive news I got yesterday, for being disciplined with the gym and the NSDs, for rain.
