Session 2 done. Only another 17 to go. I'm afraid I'm going to be very boring this month. This is taking up most of my time. However, three and a half miles walked today so at least I'm managing to keep that up.
Hugs to everyone xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -

Investments in time and energy towards health are important @toni'sfriend. Well done on the walking as well. Willing you on through this!
Hope all other Turtles and loved ones are healing!
GWR have confirmed one of the delay repays submitted yesterday £38 on its way to me. Definitely worth doing. 3 more (smaller) ones still working their way through the system.
Cataract op for dad today, just navigating the post op do's and don'ts. Am thinking this may result in a saving on social spends as really not sure I can make it to a friends special birthday weekend after next... and don't yet have any suitable clothes, I don't think. As I type that, I wonder what's happened to one outfit that I think I would now fit into again and can't imagine having got rid of... so need to do some delving through the various possible storage locations in both houses. Would love not to be living out of a suitcase quite so much.
Speaking of which, am a stage closer to buying the flat. Have sent the deposit to my current account overnight for onward transfer to solicitor tomorrow. Have proposed exchange date at start of next month (so first mortgage payment is not taken until start of August). I think this is a few days after vendor hoped to exchange - and it's possible to do sooner, just would be good to stretch it out a bit! Have signed contract and returned it. First friends who are keen to come and stay have identified a weekend they would like to come down and promised to bring toolkit etc. Really happening now!8 -
Good to hear the move is getting closer, starlight.Today I am grateful for a hard gym session being what I needed, for finally setting up an 'out of office, bu99er off' on my email, for the weather, for chats with dc, for our garden, for a lovely card from a cousin.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

The countdown is on @Toni’sfriend.The keys will be in your hands soon @Starlight_at_Sea
Working in the office today and I didn’t have any leftovers to take for lunch so I treated myself to a burrito. It was excellent. I could have bought something that cost less but I don’t regret it.Grateful today for a quick day in the office, for OH making a tasty dinner on the BBQ, and for good tv series.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7 -
Hope DS gets on ok with his appointments @ditty1234. 2 down @Toni'sfriend, well done on the walking too! Exciting times @Starlight_at_Sea.
Thank you all for your get well wishes for Mr TT. Think his diagnosis caught up with me this morning & I was feeling weepy. Told my work besties not to be nice to me, it if start blubbing. Walked into school, another friend (the secretary) asked how things were & hey presto, floodgates opened! Think she nearly joined in too! Managed to compose myself, was reading with my pupil, then an auxiliary came & gave me a post it note with "I think you should go home luv" on it, which set me off again! Meanwhile the secretary had told the head teacher to send me home! So I gathered my things together & went to the hospital. DH had a temperature. Stayed an hour then said I'd be back with DS3 after school
Had dinner, gave the bathroom a good scrub, then DS1 strung up his gammoy & let me lie in it for half an hour. Bliss!
Fetched DS3 from school & went back to the hospital. DH was told he'd be going by sir ambulance to Aberdeen hospital, so they could keep a check on his transplanted kidney. So we stayed with him til he went to the airport.
Made tea, watered all the things I'm the greenhouse, etc, did the dishes & went in the bath. Whilst soaking, I heard someone leave something in the porch. On opening the bag, there was a Moomin teatowel, Moomin biscuits, some fancy post it's with 'ypure awesome', etc on & some lavender soap, lip balm & tea lights 😍bit made my day!
Grateful for my friends, time in the hammock, DH being well looked after, all your good wishesUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

How exciting @Starlight_at_Sea!
@Thrifty_Taylor I’m glad you are both being well looked after
@Toni'sfriend just keep swimming!! We’re here right behind you
No NSD for me yesterday, so still on 4. Oh my… WFH is bad for me & bf’s eating habits…. I think we were constantly eating all day, finished the rest of the banana bread, shared three large chocolate chip cookies and then got a takeaway pizza in the evening. Think we were both ravenous from gym sessions and egging each other on 😂 today will be better.
Managed to eat a horrendous work frog and started on elephant no 2. Today will probably focus on elephants! Need to get an early night tonight as we’ll be up early for a day trip to Cordoba (quite a long way to go for a day but the train was unusually cheap)
grateful for naughty but nice food, for motivation, for having things to look forward to.Happy Friday all!Student loan £5655

Thanks everyone. I am really tired from a week of caring, working, and fitting the time with DD and my friend in. So tired my face aches if you know what I mean. It means I'm sort of numb to the extremes of nervousness and excitement that would normally come with such a huge purchase and am a bit on auto-pilot.
Also very aware that the strong currents and headwinds battering other turtles at the moment put it all into perspective.
I'm glad you had the time with family yesterday TT, much more important than work at times like this. Hope DHs transfer went smoothly and you are able to take a few more minutes for yourself in DS's gammoy (new word for me!).
Good luck with day 3 Toni's friend. I really need to take a leaf out of your book with the early morning walking. But not today, my hayfever is horrible this morning, I think it might be because there is a palm tree flowering right outside my bedroom window at mum and dad's and I had the window open all night. It's quite a distinct smell...
Well done on your work frogs Shrewbie. I have several of those hanging over me just now. Today is usually a NWD but I swapped it to have time off earlier in the week. I'm still going to go to the gym class this morning but otherwise have my head down most of the day, no meetings just getting things done! I think today's commitments might slip into tomorrow too, but that would probably be better for me than trying to get it all done today.
DD has safely arrived at her summer uni course in 🇫🇷. It sounds like an amazing place and opportunity. I'm a tad jealous. I worked all hours all uni holidays as a security guard, bartender and in a pub kitchen! Ideas of going out to visit her during these 6 weeks have been put to bed. Not really feasible with mum and dad just now, financially with the flat purchase, and turns out there is a full programme of weekend activities and trips they are doing.
Have a lovely day trip out @Shrewbie. Glad your adventures and explorations are continuing! I am now craving a bought burrito @ldee2111. In a couple of weeks I will be coming home about teatime from a big London station where I used to habitually buy a burrito....maybe I'll pencil it in for them!
Post Office were super helpful sorting out her insurance into her name after mine got put on her policy when I paid for it, but we still have my email address on it which is causing a problem logging in as it is linked to two accounts. So I'll need to spend some time sometime on the phone sorting that out. Sounds like a Saturday morning with a free olio croissant kind of job!
