  • Woohoo and happy Friday peeps! It's super-busy for me today as I am off out tonight pretty much as soon as I have finished work, it's already making me feel stressed...

So, today's PAD was a whopper and made me sad. it included the holiday balance being paid and the mortgage... just £5 to the sabbatical, although the savings pots gained interest so the sealed pot got a little boost there, as did the sabbatical.

It's not a NSD due to me going out tonight, and I am out again tomorrow so probably not one until Monday. Things do tend to get busier social-wise for me in the winter so less chance of spend free days I'm afraid.

    Have to go, work beckons!

  • Happy Monday guys and gals, I hope you had a great weekend?  We were very busy and we had DSD's boyfriend to stay for the weekend so we had a full house. I even managed a NSD yesterday though so that was a bonus!

In terms of NSD, it's another one for me today, this one is planned - then I have spending planned for the next 2 days... I'm off on Weds and we have made plans to do lots in the day.

My PAD this morning was £67.79 to various places, all to savings pots or sinking funds though so that's good :)

Feels like a positive day so far... Let's see what work brings though before we get carried away :D
    Have good days!

  • Ah, nothing like a Friday feeling on a Tuesday :D I've a busy day ahead though so I still need to make it to 5:30pm with my sanity intact.

I have already bought another Christmas present this morning as I have been awake since 4:45am, but it means only a couple more to get and I'm done. So definitely not a NSD, even if my plans get cancelled this evening.

The PAD today was £194 to various places and it's my turn to be the counter-upper so it will keep me on track this month as I won't want to let the side down.

That's it from me, better get back to it!

    Thank you :)
It's not gong too badly so far, it's been very productive and I'm just having a tea break. Funny how since my holiday I've gone back to preferring tea over coffee. It's like drinking white wine in the summer and red in the winter - maybe I'm just a bit quirky :D

Can tell I'm off tomorrow, it's starting to drag a bit this afternoon

  • Good morning all, how are you doing? I had a good day off yesterday but it was very spendy. I had a nail appointment and I also picked up my Christmas wrapping paper which I am very happy with but it wasn't cheap. I do love gifting and wrapping :)

It isn't a NSD today either as I am meeting a friend for dinner tonight, not seen her in absolutely ages though so it will be wonderful to catch up. Might be a late one too in all honesty...

Today's PAD was £5 to the sabbatical. I did the dice rolls yesterday to the amount of £56 so that went to my sealed pot, which is already growing nicely and is over £200 - I'm hopeful for the 2025 grand total!

Not really much else to report, I'm doing abysmally against my November NSD target with only 1 so far... I am hoping for a very quiet weekend! Currently I don't have any plans for next week so we will see what happens there too.  As we all know, it can all go sideways - no matter what's planned in!

I'll love you and leave you be, have wonderful days!

Are you doing badly for NSDs in November, or is some of it just an inevitable part of opening the sealed pot and the action / spending / prep needed to be ready for Christmas before the end of the month?

Enjoy dinner with your friend 😊

I think it's a bit of both, especially as we now have my DSD living with us we are doing more family things which inevitably cost money... Christmas presents and holiday payments haven't helped and that part of it will settle down.

Happy Friday, It's another week done and dusted and I hope you've all had good ones. It will finally be a NSD today (only 15 more to try and get by the end of the month!) I feel like a weekend at home with chores and life admin is on the cards and probably overdue.  Everyone is excited about Christmas but before we can get presents and decorate and all the other stuff we need a bit of a purge and declutter.

Today's PAD was £50, this included the usual £5 to the sabbatical as per usual. I will also be popping any remaining weekly spend budget in my savings challenges towards the sealed pot but my purse is downstairs and the rest of the household are still in bed so I will do that later and report back.

I hope you all have lovely weekends ahead

  • Well, that weekend passed quickly! It was a no spend weekend for me though so that's good. I've been awake since quite early this morning and just having my first coffee break, Mondays do tend to be the busiest.

I've updated my signature after I've paid for everything and bolstered the car sinking fund... It's taken a hit, but Christmas is paid for and sorted, 3 of my 4 planned holidays and trips have either been paid for or are fully funded and I'm only £1k off target for the April one so I think the money has been put to good use.  Some of the savings will be used in the Black Friday shopping trip but I will still be careful about what I buy.

Today's PAD included £5 to the sabbatical as usual, as well as some money to the sinking funds. Ideally I would like to get each pot over £300 but I know that's pushing it. The car had to be the first priority as it's expensive and I needed to save the insurance up, even if it's not due until May, it means I don't have to worry about it.

Ooh and I sold one of my handbags on Vinted this weekend, so that's a bonus. Will put that into sinking funds when it clears to the bank :)

That's all from me this morning.

  • Gooood morning, I'm late again this morning but when hubby works night shifts I get up and do the cleaning before he goes to work and then I got a bit side tracked. I need to stay focused today though, and I need to get in touch with ACAS about something that work is trying to do to my terms and conditions.

Today's PAD is just £5 to the sabbatical, nothing else happening in the accounts, it's not a NSD though as I am out tonight, our Tuesday evenings have resumed and I'm happy about that. They don't cost a lot and it's good fun. I'm not driving tonight though so it may be a bit more spendy than when I do drive.

Clearly not a NSD, although it will be covered by my weekly spending budget as usual, plus I do have my sinking funds to fall back on if needed, which I won't!

That's it from me. For the moment things seem to be calm again in the house of LMD, we have settled into the new normal... if life throws a curveball, just adjust your path.
    Keep smiling :)
