Your savings seem to be improving very steadily. Well Done!
Thanks, They were much higher before I paid for the Christmas presents and holidays, but that's what my sealed pot is intended for :)

Good morning and a hap-hap-happy Friday to you all! I had a GREAT night's sleep last night and I'm feeling much better (FInally!) I'm off to stay with my sister this evening and then we are doing soe shppig on Saturday. Today is a no spend day for me though.

My PAD was just £5 to the sabbatical, taking it to £2030 nowhere near where it needs to be yet but it's getting there and I don't really think about it any more.

That's it from me, spending cash is still in tact and it's pay day on Wednesday so Im on the count down!
    Have wonderful weekends

    Glad your feeling better 😊

The office furniture sounds like a quality of life thing to me. Always worth doing those. I think you work from home quite a bit so you will get a lot of benefit from it?

  • Good morning and happy Monday! I'm very late this morning but I have been in back to back meetings so far today so it's been a bit chaotic.

Absolutely @KajiKita, I have not been in the office since May so my home office is where I spend most of my week. It's gotten a bit forgotten and occasionally feels like a dumping ground so to get it sorted will definitely improve my mental wellbeing. I've decided on what I want, I will just wait for the weekend in case I can get a bargain.

The weekend was quite spendy, well Saturday was! I boxed off the very last Christmas present (a big one, for my dad) so now the gifts are all ready to be wrapped at the weekend, the cards will be posted on Sunday.

Today will not be a NSD as we have had to pay for some treatment for the dog at the vets, it seems he has had an allergic reaction to something and he's got some cream and one of those plastic cones...he's looking very sorry for himself and keeps catching the cone on the doorframes. He came to find me when hubby brought him home from the vets as if to show me what they'd done to him!

So, finances... I get paid on Wednesday so not long to go. I've added to he sealed pot and the sabbatical this morning, a total of £40.98 - not too shabby!

I only have a 2-day week this week so I am feeling good about that :) Looking forward to a girly shopping weekend.
    Have great days!

Ooh the vet costs won’t be cheap no doubt LMD. They’re worth every penny though aren’t they!?

Well done on the continuing building of savings

'Doglet' - I love this term and I will definitely be using it in the future!

I do budget for the sabbatical as they are daily auto-payments, however the dice can sometimes be brutal and I can't always afford to do the percentile dice amount if it's high (goes up to £90!). I think because my sealed pot provides so much for me at this time of year I see the benefit of stuffing as much as I can into it.

  • Happy Tuesday (my Friday) everyone :) It's another wintery day, cold and windy here but the sun is trying to make an appearance. I am hoping for dry weather for my shopping trip and or the travel too, I don't like driving in the rain.

So, today's not a NSD as I am out tonight and then I'm away from tomorrow for the rest of the month. Therefore I've not reached my target. Never mind :(

Today's PAD is £5 to the sabbatical, pay day tomorrow though so more will be saved then I promise!
    That's all from me today

  • Oh my goodness what a week I have had! It has been spendy so I will be updating my signature shortly but it was wonderful. The spa day was excellent and we have already booked the same for next year.

I did treat myself (extravagantly) to a bag with a tree logo as I had planned to do. There was £200 off it in the Black Friday sale so I am happy with that. We won't go into detail of just how much it actually cost. But if you know the tree logo then you'll understand.

Back to work with a bump today and I am already on my second coffee... It seems email wait for no (wo)man and I have stacks of them to get through this morning.

It's a NSD for me today though, as was yesterday. I will hopefully get a few more in this week too. The PAD today was £1230.04 to various places and included the usual £5 to the sabbatical fund.

Hope you've all had great weekends and are doing OK
