  • Morning! How is everyone?  I'm not sure where the sun has disappeared to but I need a jumper and some socks today...

It's another NSD for me today, no plans for the rest of the week so we should have a bit of spare cash at the end of the month :) Although now that I am used to my varifocals I am sending off my old frames to get them reglazed so I will need some to pay for that.

My PAD today was £5 to the sabbatical and £20 to holiday spending money.  Not much else going on, just countig down to getting paid on Friday

Ooh where do you send your old frames to get done? I'd love to get my current prescription put in my old frames. Don't like my new ones nearly as much. Optician is reluctant to do it. They say it compromises the frame taking one lens out & replacing it.

I'm using lensology, I've had it done with other places in the past, as has my husband and *touch wood* we have had no issues so far.  We have used Reglaze glasses direct in the past www.reglaze-glasses-direct.com and it was really quick

  • Morning guys, hope you’re all ok despite the weather. We have flood warnings today unfortunately. It’s not very cheerful.

Today’s another NSD for me, it’s been a quiet week. Might go out for dinner with OH tomorrow night though as it’s his only day off this week.

My PAD today was £63, made up of £5 to the sabbatical and £58 to the dice challenge. Not bad really 🤔

Thats all from me though. Nothing else happening :)

  • Hi all, it's pay day eve for me so I have moved £76 left overs to the holiday spends account, just £274 left to go to my target. We have decided to stay in and watch a film tonight so it's a NSD for me which I think takes me to my monthly target.

My PAD is £81 which has all been sent to savings, this includes the £5 to the sabbatical. I need to update my signature as it's been ages since I last did it.... will do it now.

That's all from me today, it's a busy one for me with lots of calls.

  • Good morning and happy Friday :)

It's finally pay day so I have already moved money to savings and my PAD was £867.31.  It's another NSD for me today as I have no plans.

As it's Pay Day I have sent quite a bit to savings, the big holiday final payment comes out next pay day so I am dreading that. I've said to DH that we are not having a 'big' holiday next year. I want to use the money to overhaul the garden instead, he can go with his mates if he wants but I will be happy with a week in the canaries... it's more than some get to do after all!!

For the time being, savings (including all sinking funds) have tipped £10k which is nice, but I know a lot of it is allocated for other things. At least it's there and saved for.

    That's all from me

  • Hi all, I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend, the weather wasn't great was it? But we are kind of used to it in Blighty now aren't we? :D

I had quite a spendy weekend as it's my dad's birthday next weekend so I bought gifts, we also decided it was time for a new barbecue as ours was on it's last legs.  We went for a big one and split the costs between us. Including a durable cover and a few other bits for the garden we spent £200 each so I used money from my general saver for that.

I had a quote back for the glasses reglaze but they have quoted me the super-duper lense and all the options for coatings so I've replied and said, they are just spares so please re-quote.

Today's PAD was just £5 to the sabbatical and it's not a NSD as I am out tonight, but that's about it for my updates.  Now I just need some nice weather so we can use the new barbecue haha

    Have a great day all

  • Morning!

A quick update from me as I am on calls for most of the day

My PAD today included £32 to savings from dice rolls, I do enjoy the randomness of dice challenges :)  It's a NSD for me today and I have no plans for the rest of the week so it should be nice and MSE this week

I had my glasses reglaze quote and it's £165 for 2 pairs with anti-scratch coating which I paid yesterday so hopefully will get these in the next week or so. Looking forward to having options for outfits. Hehe

    That's all from me today

That's a good price for 2 pairs of glasses. I did have a quick look at the site, must try & get a quote.
