  • Good morning and happy Monday! I agree that time is going scarily fast @Makingabobor2... the older I get the faster it goes. It's been a lovely sunny weekend and the sunshine really does lift my spirits.  I also enjoyed the Eurovision, the footbal was disappointing though and I managed to sleep through the Northern Lights :(

Well, I had a lovely weekend with family, although I spent on both days but not a lot so I don't need to panic and raid the savings just yet. Today will be a NSD for me, number 10 I think is is.

Today's PAD included £22 for my envelope challenge, £22 to tech savings pot and of course, the obligatory £5 to the sabbatical fund.

After an absolutely manic few weeks at work, things have finally quietened down and I can have a few days of catching up on admin and project work, which should really help with stress levels and mental health!

Not much else happening, it's pay day next Friday due to the bank holiday we get paid early. I have also booked some time off next week and the week after to really extend that long weekend which will be nice.

That's all from me, take care!

  • Hi all and happy Tuesday!  I like Tuesdays as a-it's no longer Monday and b-It's the night I go out and socialise...Will be having a few drinks tonight too as I'm not driving. :)

As I'm out, it won't be a NSD, and the PAD today was only £5 to the sabbatical but as we have already seen, it all adds up. Total savings are climbing too now, I will be sad when the final balance of the holiday is paid and it takes a big hit. But that's what it's there for and it means nothing needs to go on the credit card.

Nothing else to update you guys on, obviously I am still counting down to pay day and tomorrow is the dice challenge so there will be more happening tomorrow in terms of savings.

    Catch you all later

  • Sorry I am late, it's been one of those mornings that has been so busy and time has run away from me unfortunately.

I did PAD this morning, a total of £50 to savings thanks to the dice challenges. It's also a NSD for me today, hubby is working nights and I have no plans this evening. It's good I have no plans as last night was a late night and I am feeling tired, despite numerous cups of coffee.

I will likely spend the evening reading, ironing or journaling/crafting and then get an early night.

Not a very interesting update today I'm afraid...

I did! It was a great night actually and I had a lot of fun. I also had a few too many beers and had a headache at 4:30 this morning 😂 Luckily it had gone before I had to start work.

  • Hi guys, and welcome to Thursday :) I hope you're all having a great week!

I've been doing well lately with healthy eating and trying to move more and today I think is the first day I've actually woke up feeling like my body is different. Not sure why today's the day but I am not complaining!

Anyway, finance... I've no plans for the rest of the week so I have moved my remaining weekly cash to my holiday spends saving pot.  I want to have at least £1k before I go mid September and I'm currently at £625 so a fair way to go yet.

It's a NSD for me, I need to look at my challenges and cash savings later and see what I can take to the bank. I can do that now I have my sinking funds pots. :). I'll probably nip to the bank on Saturday morning when it's free parking :D

    That's it from me
    Have a great day!

  • Woo-hoo! We made it to Fri-yay :D

It's a steadyish day for me at work today which will be a nice lead into the weekend.  I am meeting my sister for dinner this evening but we are using some vouchers so will still be a no spend day.  it's a last minute plan, we fancied a catch up and the vouchers expire next month.  I did some Journal planning last night, I make my own from a nice A4 notebook. So I took some time to set up the next few months.

I've made my PAD today which includes £5 to the sabbatical fund. Need to go post that now and then I have a call at 9 so I should just have time to make a brew.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Loving the combination of spontaneity and money carefulness in the plans for dinner with your sister this evening 😊 Enjoy!

  • Hello all, I'm late today as I've had a full on day so far with lots of calls and after the busy weekend I was really tired so I didn't want to get up this morning.

I managed a NSD yesterday and today is one too.  Not Saturday as I went shopping and bought my friend some anniversary flowers. Not long now until pay day on Friday, and then we have another nice long weekend to enjoy.

Today's PAD was £17, £5 to the sabbatical and £12 to fill an envelope for the cash envelope challenge. There will be a dice challenge on Wednesday and then on Friday I will do the 1p challenge.

The weekend went far too quickly for me, it was fun though, filled with sports, family and BBQs :)

Hope you all had a good weekend
