Hi everyone, just a quick one today as I have an appointment at 9am.

I'm still not over the totting up yesterday, but I've added £5 to the sabbatical today as part of my PAD, the rest was sent to the sealed pot as I pilfered hubby's change that he said was weighing down his trousers.... so it was a favour really :D

It's a NSD for me today, no plans...not even at the weekend so we may see another 2 by Monday as well! We will see how it goes.

I am struggling with my arthritis today which I have in my hands so it's painful to type...so I will bid you all a good day and I hope you have nice weekends ahead

Some great progress LMD. It’s amazing how regular not necessarily huge saving really amounts to something over time isn’t it?
I have a mate only in his 40s with arthritis. It surprised me how young people can be when they get it. Mostly he’s perfectly fine but he does have flare ups from nowhere.

  • Thanks @AntoMac I'm still shocked but very pleased.

The weekend went too quickly in my opinion, but I do have a short working week this week as we are away from Thursday afternoon.

Today will be a NSD for me, as was yesterday. Saturday I had to order some hair colour and conditioner so that came out of my self care sinking funds.

I have added to savings today as my PAD, £5 to the sabbatical (which will hit £1k tomorrow morning), £3.01 to the sealed pot and £10 to the cash envelope challenge.

Nothing much else to report, we made the most of the OK weather at the weekend and sorted out the garden and the shed. It looks a lot better even if 'm looking at it through the rain :D

Counting down to pay day as usual, 4 days to go

  • Good morning, I hope everyone is having a great week? I've been busy getting my insurance quotes and the cheapest I've got is £206 which is decent as I was expecting it to be higher.  I've only checked the comparison sites so far as I get so bored entering the details over and over again. Although it's much better than the olden days where you had to call up for quotes going through the yellow pages :D  Showing my age there!

So, today is not a NSD, I'm out this evening. Tomorrow should see me hit my NSD target of 17 days though so I am pleased about that being achieved before a spendy weekend away.

The PAD today was just the £5 to the sabbatical fund, which has now reached £1000! It's a bit of a mini milestone as I still have £2k to go for my 1 month target and £8k to go for my 3 month target... but it's a definite 'win' today for me :)

I am still using the free charts from my debt-busting days, (which I think @Keedie introduced me to) so I have finished colouring in the first saving £1k one this morning and set up the next one ready to be coloured in. I do like having visual things to help me stay motivated.

That's it from me today, it's a busy week at work so I'd better get cracking.
    Have lovely days

You're doing so well! It's great that the savings have almost doubled since the start of the year. That's incredibly impressive 👏🏾. And yes, colouring in savings or debt free trackers really helps me to stay on track.

I can't believe the sabbatical fund is at £1k already. Just proves that slow and steady really does win the race. I hope the arthritis flare doesn't last too long and that the cost of the garden repairs isn't too much from the wind the other week (I am just catching up with everyone's diaries).

  • Thank you

    Happy Wednesday everyone.
It looks like it will be a dry day today so I will be getting some laundry on the line shortly, it's always better line dried.

This morning I have added £27 to the dice challenges. I have missed the % dice this week as I want to try and have some left for this weekend, especially as we go away the day before pay day and I need to fill up the car with petrol tomorrow before we set off. £5 was added to the sabbatical as usual.

It's a NSD for me, No 17 of the month so far so I've hit my target for this month :)

Nothing else to update on, have great days!

  • Happy Thursday! I'm only doing a half day today and then we are off to Scotland until Sunday...I may or may not be updating over the weekend, will still try and PAD, especially as it's pay day tomorrow :)

It's not going to be a NSD today, I have to fill the car with petrol and we will need to get dinner this evening when we arrive.  That's OK though, I was expecting this weekend to be spendy anyway.

Today's PAD was £5 to the sabbatical and £2.20 to the sealed pot, just to round down the account. The second £k chart for the sabbatical is very plain and I'm looking forward to getting it coloured in... just the first £10 block done so far though.

Hope everyone has a good few days ahead

Have a great time in Scotland. Its somewhere we keep saying we will go one day and do a big road tour. so far the only place we've been there is Edinburgh, and many years ago when I was a lot younger, I went to Ayr, when there used to be a Butlins there....the real good old days....lol
