Hello and good morning folks, Happy Thursday to you...
Yesterday was so busy for me in terms of work and today is set to be the same... because it's been busy at work for both me and hubby we seem to have just wasted our evening last night, just relaxing on the sofa reading and watching the football. I'm out tonight with my sister so it won't be a NSD today, but shouldn't be too spendy.
Today's PAD included £5 to the sabbatical fund. There's not as much spare cash this month, especially considering that £600 sent for the holiday. Last night, I dreamt about the holiday and I got to the airport but hadn't got my passport. I clearly need to get my new passport sorted as it's in the back of my mind
I know I mentioned we have some holidays, weekends and events planned but at the moment it feels like every other day hubby is suggesting something else for us to go to, whether it's band gigs, comedy shows or day trips. Think I need to have a word...I need to reign it in, even if he doesn't! Even after we have finished paying for the big holiday we still need spending money and budget for food/drinks. And this year we go before the sealed pot is opened so I can't rely on that. Hubby is lucky that he can do (feels like unlimited) paid overtime, but it's not a thing in my job so I just have my flat salary.
Anyway, that's my moaning for today over. I really should visit my old diary and think how I would have coped before. Will make me thankful for my current position!
Sorry for whingeing

Good morning and happy Friday! Hurrah for the weekend
It's 1st of the month so it's the dreaded account train day from direct debits, including the mortgage. PAD included £15 to the sabbatical due to some interest being paid. I have now handed over the counter-upper duties to Antomac after totting up a magnificent £9k+ being PADded on the thread in Feb!
Today will be a NSD for me, I have a very busy day at work with lots of meetings scheduled (who does that on blummin' Fridays??) and than nothing planned this evening, probably some more reading or a film. Tomorrow we are off out in the afternoon to meet friends for food and a few drinks. Then no plans for Sunday so should be able to get a NSD in there too.
That's it from me. In true fashion I am already counting down to next pay day now the accounts have been obliterated...26 days to go!
Hope you all have a great day and fab weekends ahead

Back to say I've just cashed out £6.02 from Prolific so that's now been added to my sealed pot.

Good morning, it's a late one for me as I'm off and had a lovely lounge in bed with a cuppa and my book this morning. Not really got anything planned except a trip to the gym though and pottering at home, I might do some baking too. It will be a NSD for me anyway
Made my PAD this morning, it was £5 to the sabbatical and £49 to the cash envelope challenge. The Sabbatical is now at £750 and I do get surprised at how quickly it's mounting up. I'm also hoping to get to £2k by the end of March with my sealed pot. Not sure how feasible this will be as I have an expensive month ahead but I will try! I am booked into the hairdressers for a proper colour as a birthday treat to myself but this will likely be £125 so I will be using some of my savings for that, after all that's what it's there for. Once it's done, I should be able to maintain it myself at home for a good few months which will be cheap as chips.
That's all for my updates today, I hope you're all OK and had nice weekends.

Hello folks, and happy Tuesday. Happy simply because it's no longer Monday
Felt like a Monday when I first opened my emails after being off yesterday!
It's a NSD for me as I'm staying in tonight and will be catching up on some TV, the stuff hubby's not bothered about watching, as he's working nights at the moment. I finished another book last night and started a new one by the same author, they're so quick to get into and light and easy to read so I tend to always have my nose in a book these days. There are definitely worse habits to have! Doesn't even cost anything now I've joined the library, there's less clutter too!
Today's PAD was £5 to the sabbatical. I actually remembered to updated my signature yesterday too... a rarity for me haha. Savings are going OK but will take a hit over the next few months for my hair cut, then the car insurance which I like to pay annually so I don't get charged extra. There's enough to cover that, plus then we have to pay the rest of the big holiday. I'm concerned there won't be much left after that.
I'm going to have a coffee now and catch up on some diaries, I started work early today due to having email inbox anxiety after being on leave
Catch you all later

Good morning, up early today as on Wednesdays I have calls from 8am. I didn't sleep well last night so I will be in need of a constant flow of caffeine this morning I think!
Today is dice challenge day, so my PAD included the £5 to sabbatical and £22 to the dice challenges. It's also a NSD as we will be watching footy after dinner this evening after dinner. We need to go and do the grocery shop but I don't include this as it's essential spending.
Not much else to update on really, oh - I did downgrade our Netflix subscription as we don't need the premium version, so as of 31st March that will be £6 a month saved. Not a huge saving but it's there none-the-less.
That's it from me today. Have a lovely day!

Good morning and happy Thursday, I'm off out tonight to meet a friend for dinner so it's not a NSD for me today. Shouldn't be too spendy though as we are both driving.
I've sent £5 to the sabbatical as my PAD this morning as usual. Nothing else happening in the way of finances or the accounts. We were told at work yesterday that nobody will be getting a pay rise this year which was a bit of a blow. I never really factor it into my budget anyway but it was always nice to get it as a bit of a bonus. Perhaps the time has come to start looking elsewhere.
Anyways, that's my update. Short and sweet today
Have a great day!

We went without a pay rise for 3 years! I guess a lot of places will be using the economy as a ready made excuse 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
