  • Thanks! We have family staying this week for the half term. Just wish it was better weather so we could do more outdoorsy things.

Quick finance update. Yesterday turned out to be a NSD for me after all, so that was a bonus! Today we are going to do some shopping so not likely haha. The dice rolls have been done this morning and £25 has been sent to them, along with my £5 to the sabbatical.

Hope everyone is well and has a lovely valentine’s day

  • I agree that as you get older it is hard to get over illnesses as quickly.  Although I am trying to start looking at my diet etc, as I think that may be playing a part in my problems
Also agree about real life getting in the way of MSE....lol.  I haven't had time to sit and update my diary for a few days as just been so busy. Will try & find time later today.

Looks like we were simultaneously writing on each others diaries 😂

Real life really has got in the way for us lately. I can’t really go into too much detail but our family has grown unexpectedly (I’m not pregnant 😂) but it’s a very long and complicated story…. Needless to say, I’m grateful to be debt free so that we have spare funds.

Definitely not ‘problems’ just changes we didn’t expect. Positive changes but will probably change how we deal with finances moving forwards.
I know it must sound cryptic and one day I’m sure I’ll explain but not yet xx

You don't need to explain. These diaries are about money saving, not giving out our personal details. I am always careful what I say, in case there are "real" friends or family on here and I say something I wouldn't want them to know.

That sounds nice (overall) having family to stay LMD.
Good for the unexpected changes to happen in your current financial state rather than the position you were in a couple of years back.

  • Thanks guys. I knew you’d get it☺️

It’s great having family to stay. I’m a definite ’family’ person, I think that’s why I love Christmas so much.

Today won’t be a NSD (maybe tomorrow will be) as we are off out again this afternoon. I have sent £5 to the sabbatical fund as usual. The pots are growing well now, especially with the dice challenges bolstering the sealed pot. I’ll try and remember to update my signature later.

No other updates, take care everyone

  • Good morning everyone, and happy Friday! I still have this pesky cough/cold. So I’ve been up early to cough downstairs away from everyone else trying to sleep.

I think it may be a NSD today. We are heading out for lunch, but we have vouchers to use. And then the rest of the day will be at home for me. I don’t count the vouchers as spending ☺️

Today’s PAD was just £5 to the Sabbatical fund. I should be able to add more at the end of the month, depending on what I have left available. Next week I need to have a look at pet insurance as I’ve had the renewal through for the dog and whilst it’s not gone up much, it’s £5 odd a month so it all adds up.

That’s it from me, have great days and wonderful weekends ahead!
