Good morning! Happy Monday to you all
I had a lovely weekend, thank you for the birthday wishes it's very kind of youAfter having too much to drink on Saturday, I spent yesterday morning in the cinema as hubby treated us to go and see the new Ghostbusters film which was good.
It's still 3 days to pay day (Weds) and the accounts are looking OK. I received some money for my birthday so I may put that towards the cost of my hair and pop that back in my savings account. We will see what the next few days pan out like, there's nothing I really need at the moment.
We have family coming to stay from next Monday so I will be restraining myself from making any frivolous spends until then. I am out to meet colleagues for lunch later this week, but nothing else is planned this week. I keep getting muddled and forgetting we have a bank holiday on Friday.
It's a NSD for me today, PAD included £9 to the envelope challenge and £5 to the sabbatical. That's all from me though, hope you all have a good day

Happy Belated Birthday @LittleMissDetermined 🎉. Sorry I missed it, I've been off the forum for a little while with life, and I'm just catching back up on everything. I'm glad you had a good birthday weekend, it's very much deserved.
I can't believe a premium room upgrade was only £80 extra?? That's definitely a bargain and well done on your MSE switcheroos for your dad, I bet he's very pleased. I didn't know that you could get pet sitters in their actual home, but it makes sense. I just assumed pets went to pet hotels/boarders (I don't have pets in case my ignorance wasn't obvious 😂).
Your savings are in an all round great shape, it's very impressive 👏🏾. xxDebt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Thanks Keedie, great to see you back and I hope you're OK. Dad is very grateful for getting it sorted for him, he said he wouldn't have the foggiest
It's pay day eve for me and it will also be a NSD which takes me to my target for the month with a few days spare to over-achieve which will be good considering there has been lots of socialising this month. We have family to stay next week which will result in some spending and then later in April we have a mni-break planned to Scotland. Therefore my target for next month will be a cautious one too. I do have my sinking funds to rely on for entertainment and eating out so that's a good thing.
Today's PAD is the £5 to the sabbatical, nothing else happening with the finances until tomorrow when there will be a fluffy of movements and savings challenge payments.
Hope you're all having a good week so far

It's really good that you've got lots of breaks to look forward to LMD. I might be going on a solo trip to Manchester at the end of May and I'm really looking forward to it if I can get the money together.
My mum sends me the MSE newsletter even though I've told her that I also get it 😂. She sometimes finds good bargains in her catalogues or online, but when it comes to switching utilities she's lost, so I can imagine your dad is very grateful.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle
