  • Thanks @AntoMac, it really is creeping up :)

Hope everyone is well, I’m off out to the shopping centre today to meet a friend. It won’t be a NSD for me, but I’m hoping it won’t be too spendy. I also have some chores to do this afternoon and I need to do a small grocery shop.

The sabbatical got its usual £5 this morning, not much else happening finance wise, just ticking along now until pay day on 27th

    Have good days!

  • Happy Sunday :) Even if it is raining cats and dogs...

I managed to not buy anything at the shops yesterday so I only paid for food and drinks, we decided to meet early and have breakfast before a stroll around the shops which was nice as we were leaving just as it was getting busy. So my total spend yesterday was £10 - not bad for a Saturday at the shopping mall :D

Today will be a NSD for me, a day of relaxing, reading and maybe some baking. It will be nice when we can spend weekends pottering in the garden in a few weeks time (hopefiully)

PAD today was £11.10 to various savings pots including £5 to the sabbatical as usual
    That's it from me today

  • Good morning and happy Monday! The sun is shining here and it brings me joy :)

Today is a planned NSD for me, it's a day at home with work and then catching up on some TV with hubby. He's off work now for a few days so he has a few jobs to do around the house.

My PAD today was £59, I sent £30 to sinking funds, 24 to the envelope challenge and £5 to the sabbatical as usual. The addition to sinking funds was left over spending money from last week, I'd already added the change at the weekend.

That's all from me today, I have a busy work day ahead with lots of calls this morning so I'd better make a bew to 'wet my whistle' as my nan used to say.

Have a lovely day, I hope the sun is shining where you are

  • Thanks @lucielle, back to the standard £5 PAD today which has been sent to the sabbatical fund. It will be the dice challenges tomorrow though so there'll be some more added to savings from that.

I'm off out tonight so it's not a NSD for me, should be for the rest of the week though until Saturday when I'm going for my birthday hair cut and colour :)

It all gets a bit boring update wise as it gets close to pay day, so a few things we have been doing in real life to brighten it up... I managed to sort my dad's home insurance out for him and saved him £300 for the year, I've also switched his broadband saving £15 a month and I've arranged a water meter for him. We have arranged to upgrade our hotel room to a premium room for when we are in Singapore, it's just been added to the bill but it's £80 for the whole stay so we figure that was a bit of a bargain.

We have also found a wonderful 'in home' dog sitter for when we are away, we went to see them and introduce our pooch, he seemed very at ease straight away and it was a lovely environment for him, with the run of the house just like he has at home.  Now that we have found someone we can now add the costs of that to the holiday budget plans.

Think that's it from me, I hope you're all doing well

  • Morning all, not sure where the lovely sun has disappeared to, the rain was awfully loud in the night. I have an early start today with calls from 8am so I've been up a while and already updated my budget.

Dice rolls today totalled £35 (eep) and the £5 to the sabbatical saw a PAD of £40 this morning. Not my usual for a run up to pay day :D  I suppose that's the point of making it a random amount from using the dice.

It's a NSD for me today, and not much else to tell. The total spend for going out last night was a whopping £4.75 so didn't I do well!?

That's it from me. Off to make a brew before work

  • Hello all, it's late today as.I have been busy first thing from emails last night that needed my attention. However, now i am just having a brew and can sort out the budget.

So, as I am not going out until Saturday and I have spending money left in my purse I have emptied said purse and added £30 to sinking funds and £5.25 to the sealed pot. I've also sent £5 to the sabbatical fund as usual. Total PAD; £40.25 which isn't too bad.

It's a NSD for me today, no spending until Saturday when I'm at the hairdressers and off for a birthday meal. Will be using my savings for the hairdressers but have sinking funds for the meal, unless hubby decides to treat me :)  He's paying for our trip away in April as my present so I'm not expecting too much.

Pay day is next Wednesday, so we still have a way to go, but I have my cash ready for next week's spending money and that will be added on Saturday morning. I'm definitely finding I'm spending less by using cash, so while it's working I will keep doing it.

That's all from my updates today, I hope you all have great days

  • Whoooop! Happy Friday everyone :)

The weather isn't too bad this morning, it looks like the sun is trying to get through, it would be nice for it to be sunny for my birthday tomorrow as I don't want it to rain on my hair 'do'

Today is a quiet day finance-wise, It's a NSD as we have no plans (hubby is on nights) I may have a face mask and a bit of a pamper this evening with a glass of wine or 2.

The PAD this morning was just £5 to the sabbatical.  I can't believe how close the sealed pot is to that £2k mark already, I only hit the £1k 2 months ago. Crazy!

Anyway, that's it from me, I won't be updating this weekend apart from my PADs and NSD's on the respective threads as I am hoping to be too busy enjoying myself :D

    Have lovely weekends
