  • We went without a pay rise for 3 years! I guess a lot of places will be using the economy as a ready made excuse 🙁
This is true, I should be a bit more appreciative that I'm on a decent salary.

  • So, happy Friday guys and gals! I do love Fridays... even though today is littered with Teams calls and I had been hoping to get on wiih project and admin work.

Today is a NSD for me, and yesterday turned into one as well as my friend insisted on paying for dinner as a treat for my birthday which was very kind and totally unexpected.

I've sent £5 to the sabbatical fund as my PAD this morning, along with a few DD's. Other than that nothing's happening. We have friends coming to stay this weekend so this evening I will be mainly cleaning and making up the spare room for them, we are cooking for them too so it should be a cheap weekend.

That's all from me. I will ry and keep an eye on Prolific today, but it's been a bit hit and miss lately.
    Have lovely days ahead!

  • Hello all and happy Saturday, it's lovely and sunny here and we are just fettling the house before our friends arrive.

This morning I went to our staff shop to see if i could get any bargains, it's a Next one and I had a gift card from Christmas I can use there.  Anyway, I found some loafers, a top, cardigan and casual jacket. They should have been £163 but after discount I paid £52.25, less my £30 voucher meant £22.25 spend!  I know It's a spending day but I can't really grumble at what I got for my money :)

PAD this morning included £5 to the sabbatical as usual.

Just wanted to share my bargains with you!

  • Morning! I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I had a NSD yesterday and today will be one too, I do have to take the dog to the vets later for his nails to be clipped but that's included in his health plan which we pay for on a monthly basis.

Today's PAD was £50, £5 to the sabbatical and £45 to the envelope challenge. I am off work tomorrow as I am going for a spa day. It won't be a NSD but I do have some money in my self care sinking fund which I can use for it. The treatment has already been paid for, so I will just need a bit of cash for travel and food/drink. Plus I am out for a few drinks in the evening.  I will be setting off very early tomorrow so I won't be able to update until later in the day if at all.

It's all part of the 'birthday month' haha!
Anyway, that's it from me, have good days

  • Ooh I did have a lovely time, we managed to get an offer too for our next visit so we have bought more vouchers so we can go again. It was a late night last night too so I am very tired, I am also out to meet friends for dinner tonight so there's no chance of an early night.  I did say this month would be busy and spendy :D

So, as you can gather from the above, it's not a NSD for me today. It should be tomorrow though, and Friday too as I have no plans.

My PAD was significant today, I moved £7.60 in change to the sealed pot, my £5 went to the sabbatical as usual and then £29 went to the sealed pot from my dice challenges. I should have perhaps saved the change until the weekend but it was making my purse heavy. It also included a couple of DDs that have been taken this morning. Nothing major.

All seems to be going to plan so far this month (knock on wood)
That's it from me today, hope you're all well

  • Hello and good morning, I hope you're all having a great week?

It's finally a NSD for me today, I am only going out to walk the dog and take some things to the recycling centre. I do feel like I've had a busy week and I'm ready for some downtime.

The PAD this morning was just £5 to the sabbatical which has now reached £800.  There's not much chance of any extra being added at the end of this month due to birthday celebrations but I'm fairly happy with the way that it's building without me really missing the money.

It's still almost 2 weeks until pay day, as you know I am always counting down! :D The accounts are all looking OK, but I know most of what's there has a purpose this month so I don't feel particularly frivolous. I know I bought the spa voucher but we always do that so it was an expected spend haha

Also in the back of my head I know I need to squirrel a lot of money away for the holidays. But I'm sure they will be worth it - hope so anyway!

Right, I'm off to make a coffee before my first work call.
    Have lovely days!

  • Good morning and happy Friday! I am aware that not everyone counts down to Fridays so I'm sorry if you don't... my hubby is working today and all weekend so he wasn't so chuffed that it was Friday :) It's felt like a short week this week but I've been busy so I think that's to be expected.

I've sorted the accounts this morning, PAD was £33.50 which included £5 to the sabbatical as usual. There's not much more to come out of the accounts for the rest of the pay periods other than funding birthday plans and hair appointments.

Whilst I have been updating this I've just had a £5 referral bonus notification on Monzo so I'm going to pop that into the sealed pot too.

It's a NSD for me, a steak and ale casserole will be going into the slow cooker later, it'll be a batch cook so I can add a couple of double portions to the freezer too. I'm meeting a friend for coffee tomorrow but I have a gift card so it depends if we see anything else whilst we are at the shopping centre... who knows!

That's all from me for today, have lovely days and good weekends ahead
