  • Hello all, hope you’re doing ok? It’s early this morning, I can’t sleep and I’m out tonight so it won’t be an early night. Hope I can keep my eyes open.

So, as I’m out tonight it’s not a NSD, although I am driving so it will be low spend.  I added the £5 to the sabbatical fund this morning, still planning on adding spare funds at pay day to give it a boost if I can.

I will be using cash tonight, it always makes me feel more aware of what I’m spending so I end up being more frugal. When it’s on the card I never even give it a thought.

I’m pleased with the envelopes I did yesterday, but need to start tackling the December and November ones at pay day so I don’t get left with all the big amounts at the same time.

Thats pretty much it from me, hope you have lively days!

  • Good morning, happy Bon Jovi day to all

Quick update this morning as Wednesday's are always busy and I have my first call in 10 mins.  Last night was a good night out and as I was driving I only spent £6 which is a nice low spend day. Today will be a NSD as I am working a long shift and then painting a wall this evening.

I did manage to do some surveys on Prolific yesterday and theu got approved super-quickly so I have been able to cash out £9.80 this morning and that has been send to my sealed pot, along with the usual £5 to the sabbatical. There will be more going to the sealed pot from some dice challenges but I don't have the time to do them now.

After reading @Keedie's diary yesterday, I thought I would check my energy account as I've not really paid attention this winter.  Whilst the last statement was £30 higher than we pay for our direct debit we are actually £635.40 in credit so I am glad about that. Might pop the heating on later with that buffer!

That's all from me, I will pop back later with the additional amount to the sealed pot, but in the meantime, have a lovely day and stay warm!

  • Good morning everyone, yesterday was so busy I was totally wiped out and struggled to get up this morning. I found it hard to switch off last night so it was quite late when I ended up drifting off to sleep.

Not much happening in terms of finances to be honest, it's that quiet time of the month and we are both counting down to pay day next week. It's another NSD for me and I sent the usual £5 to the sabbatical fund.

Prolific has gone a bit quiet for me, but as usual I will be keeping an eye on that.

  • Must have been a bad night for brain overload. I kept thinking of things I had to do, and money I wanted to move to places, and working out in my head how much I could pay off mortgage today....lol.  Hardly got any sleep TBH, so I know how you feel

  • Good morning, the sleeping difficulty continues and I have been awake since just gone 4am. Will probably take a Nytol tonight and see if I can sleep in tomorrow morning with it being the weekend. Hope you managed a better night's sleep @Makingabobor2.

All the accounts are quiet still, I made my daily PAD to the sabbatical of £5 but not much else to report, likely to be that way until next Friday when I get paid with the exception of adding to the savings challenges on Monday and Wednesday.

It will be a NSD for me today, work is insanely busy and then tonight I will be doing some final decorating in the spare room. No time for spending.

That's all from me, hope everyone is well and has a great Friday!

Hi Doris, decorating was finished on Friday evening and then I did the room switch over the weekend. I am absolutely shattered but it was worth it as I am very happy with the results.  There are a few bits left to do; the blind needs to be fitted in the new office window, there are some filled holes in the new spare room which need touching up and some shelves and a mirror to be put up in the office. All rely on hubby (the paint is in the loft) so I will bug him over the next few days as he was working all weekend.  I also need to iron the curtains, but not ironing until this evening so I will have those done by tomorrow.

  • Happy Monday!  I had a very busy weekend and I feel glad to be going back to work for a rest!

Finances are all looking good, I got another NSD in yesterday and today will be one too.  We are on the final countdown to pay day on Friday and I have 2 'going-out's this week so we will see what remains on Friday morning...

I've added £39 to savings today, £5 to the sabbatical, £3 to the sealed pot and £31 to the envelope challenge.  Next additions will be Weds when I do my dice challenges.

That's about it for now, there's nothing much else happening in the world of LMD!
