Now for a healthier, wealthier me

Good morning all - back to work for me this morning and I was in the gym at 6 so i am very awake now! I'm sure I will feel achey and in need of a nap later.
Today is a NSD for me. I have lots to catch up on during work, and a few meetings for good measure... I'll be cleaning the bedroom at lunchtime as another of my resolutions is to get back onto the TOMM cleaning routine and free up the weekends again. It works so well but I kind of fell off the wagon of late.
So, not sure if I mentioned my resolutions for 2024:- Consistently use a skincare routine (no cheating with wipes)
- Get back into TOMM cleaning
- Go to the gym 3-4 times a week
- Complete dry January
- Read at least 1 book a month
PAD today included £5 to the sabbatical fund
Not much more to update on, I am thrilled with the uptake for the 52 week saving challenge, 20 members so far and whilst some may drop out I hope we can save some serious cash between us this year.
Hope you all have a lovely day

I will also be filling multiples so I can complete it in line with the sealed pot challenge so I can't really complain
TOMM is The Organised Mum Method and basically condenses your cleaning to 30 minutes a day (plus some basics that take about 15 mins) You use a timer and stop after the 30 minutes and it gets easier each as you get into it. It focuses on a room per day Mon-Thu and then Friday is an 8 week rotation of a focus day. If you want any more info drop me a PMMakingabobor2 said:What is the TOMM cleaning routine? I use the TOMM method or should I say loosely use and want to get back into it 😆 I have the app and also subscribe to the Patreon guided cleans which are basically like having a personal trainer for cleaning. Your resolutions all look do-able so you shouldn't have any trouble sticking to them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I have the App and Patreon subscription too, it all seemed to go a bit care-free post-holiday and on the run up to ChristmasSun_Addict said:I use the TOMM method or should I say loosely use and want to get back into it 😆 I have the app and also subscribe to the Patreon guided cleans which are basically like having a personal trainer for cleaning. Hi all. I apologise for being late today, I had a terrible night's sleep and ended up getting up later, just in time for work although I did manage to do my skincare in full and not revert to wipes haha
So, I used my coffee break to update my spreadsheet and I have also started 4x dice challenges and have corresponding Monzo pots which I will do weekly on a Wednesday. Today these rolls totalled £17 so that's been sent over and I have also added £5 to the Sabbatical.
Today is not a NSD as I am planning some alterations to the spare room and my home office and need to order some things. Initially these expenses came from the house fund when we moved in, but these are 'wants' and not 'needs' so I will be paying for this myself as it's my whim!
Nothing much to report on the finance front. All seems to be going well so far. 24 days to go until pay day!

Good luck with sorting out your home office. I love a nice space to work. Although I am retired now, I do like a nice area for laptop and folders, recipe books etc. DH put up some shelves for me in the dining end of our kitchen at a couple of months ago and with our new (2nd hand) kitchen table and lovely LED strip lights he put under the cabinets, its lovely and cosy in there now....and so handy for the kettle...lolMaking the debt go down and savings go up

I should have planned more carefully before we moved in, but I ended up with the office being in the room with the fitted mirrored wardrobes and it's much better suited as a bedroom/dressing room so a lot of the time (I say a lot, but it's rare) when I'm getting ready to go out I am getting ready in my office which is not ideal! Hence the change of use being planned.Makingabobor2 said:Good luck with sorting out your home office. I love a nice space to work. Today is a NSD for me. I am travelling to stay with my sister for a few days as she has a hospital appointment I will be driving her to tomorrow. It isn't long since we saw each other but we will still make the most of a good catch up and chin-wag.
This morning I cashed out £7.80 from Prolific which I sent to the Sealed Pot and I sent the usual £5 to the Sabbatical. My Sealed pot has now tipped £700 mark which is great
I have to pay the next part of our big holiday soon so my savings will take another hit, but now that we are past the Christmas period I am hoping I can replenish this relatively quickly.
I hope everyone has a lovely day

Happy New Year!
I am planning to move the home office downstairs this year instead of a bedroom, better use of space I think. Hope you office move plans go well.
