Welcome home, glad you had a fabulous time. Where did you go this time? I don’t know how you managed to work so soon after your return. I like to have at least 2 days to come back down to earth before going back to work.

Glad you had a great break LMD. It must be so much better going away knowing that you now have your finances under control.

We went to Cape Town this time. Very long flight but 100% worth it.  I am regretting taking more time off, even though there's no jet lag to take into account...

It was almost like a different experience, not having to second guess any spending.

So, I know I am late today but I have been so busy this morning this is the first chance I've had to look at the finances.  All looking good for my weekend away on Thursday afternoon :)

It's a NSD for me today and my PAD is £5 to the sabbatical fund. Not much else going on really, which I suppose is a good thing!

Glad to have you back LMD and it sounds like you had a great holiday.

I like to take half a day of leave before I travel and a day off after I get back so that I can get back to 'normal'.

In an ideal world this would be great, however I do like to holiday so I end up running out of annual leave! :D

  • Good morning all and welcome to Wednesday (already!) I am off again for the girls shopping trip tomorrow and I am getting excited.  It's definitely a good way of getting rid of post holiday blues.

Today is a NSD for me, nowhere to go and just need to pack a bag after work. My PAD was £5 to the Sabbatical fund, I get paid on Monday so the account activity is quiet at the moment.  I have finally remembered to update my signature but this is subject to change as the savings will be used this weekend for hotel costs, travel and our shopping.  This should see the last of the Christmas presents purchased and then I will be wrapping them on Sunday - very exciting.

I have been up a good few hours already today so I have managed to do a couple of Prolific surveys, not quite enough to cash out yet but I will keep checking it.

I hope you're all having a great week.

  • Good morning! There was a misunderstanding so that we aren't setting off this morning but actually this afternoon, therefore I left my packing to be done today.  I have been awake since very early as I fell asleep on the sofa last night for a bit, at least. am well rested.

Today's PAD included £5 to the Sabbatical and £2 to the sealed pot to round down my account. Everything is looking OK between now and pay day with no more bills to come out now. Prolific is 20p from being cashable again so I will keep an eye and see what other surveys I can get done today.

That's all from me. I have a list for the shopping trip so I am confident I will get the Christmas shopping boxed off over the next 3 days :)

    Have a lovely Thursday
