  • Hi all, I blinked and the weekend was gone! :(

We still have some snow this morning but I'm hoping it's not going to stick around for long, I'm out tonight for the first Christmas get together so I need to travel.  I also need to take some stuff to the household recycling centre at lunchtime.

Not a NSD today, but should be low spends as food is already paid for. I've been PADding over the weekend, the usual £5 a day to the sabbatical and this morning it was more of the same. Not much, but it will add up over time and small amounts daily don't seem to be missed.

Not much else to report today, things are looking OK.  I did get my winter clothes out over the weekend and put summer things away, and I probably do need a few bits clothes-wise but I may wait and see if I get any money/vouchers for Christmas as I'm not desperate.

Hope you're all Ok and had great weekends

  • Late start for me today as I have some late calls I need to attend this afternoon so I've done a bit of a shift slide. I had a good night last night and didn't spend too much money so that was good. I'm out again tonight but I am driving so it will be low spends again.

£5 has been added to the sabbatical again this morning, and we are on the brink of booking our 2024 big holiday so my savings may get depleted to pay for the deposit later today. It's an expensive one but definitely one off the bucket lit for both of us so I think it will be worth it.

I didn't sleep very well last night, probably due to having a few beers so tonight won't be a late one for me. No plans for the rest of the week either so I should bag a few more NSD's

Hope you're all OK, I know the UK weather is a bit mental at the moment

I think it's important to make memories and we have spent so long paying off debt and doing things on the cheap we deserve to treat ourselves.

I quite agree. Even when you are trying to pay off your debts, it is important to make memories. Can't wait to hear where you are going?

    It's a multi-destination stay to Singapore and Bali :)

This morning I struggled to get up.  A combination of cold weather, dark mornings and 2 late nights in a row got the better of me and I only just managed to get myself up and showered to start work on time. I think it will be an early night tonight :D

Today's PAD was £68.0 to various places but included £5 to the sabbatical and £10 to the sealed pot courtesy of a payout from Storewards. Even though I was out last night, I only spent £4.40 on 2 soft drinks so that was very cheap night out! I'll have more like that I think!

That's it for updates, it's a NSD for me today although I have lost count already :D I'll have to wait for the update on the NSD thread.
Hope you all have a lovely day

  • Well it will be another NSD for me today, I'm pretty much back to back at work and then no plans this evening other than a beer and watching football.   My PAD was £5 to the sabbatical, but I have also just cashed £5.85 from Prolific so I will be sending that to the sealed pot in a minute.

Nothing much else happening, I have plenty in the account left for my social festive gatherings, one of which has changed from a 'go out' to being hosted at mine so that's a bonus and should be an extra NSD there :)

Hubby has just left to go and do his Christmas shopping...so I'll no doubt be wrapping those at the weekend when he's at his work Christmas party, I'm just happy mine is all done. I just need to arrange delivery of gifts now and pop a couple in the post which I will do at the weekend.

That's all from me, have lovely days!

Your holiday plans sound amazing. Well deserved as you worked so hard to pay off your debt.

Your hubby is organised getting his Christmas shopping done. Obviously not one of those men who leave it to Christmas Eve 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

He can be a bit of a stress-head so he never leaves things to the last minute :D
