Now for a healthier, wealthier me

Hi all, I had a nice non-spendy day off yesterday and managed quite a bit of reading in my down-time. I am now on to book 6, which is biographical so may take me a bit longer than usual...
Hope everyone is well, I am off out for dinner with friends tonight so it's not a NSD for me today. It's also really busy work-wise after being off yesterday...no rest for the wicked.
My PAD today was £7, which is £5 to the sabbatical as usual and £2 to the envelope challenge. I will see what's left of the budget tomorrow morning and see what I can add to which pots. I don't have any spendy plans for the weekend so I won't need to hold any back...
That's it from me, short, sweet and pretty boring

Sounds like your recent stresses are gone now LMD. By minor coincidence I’ll be taking a sabbatical myself soon. Work and life has exhausted me, so I’ll be looking at 2 or maybe 3 months. Having been made redundant more times than I have resigned from my jobs Ant, it’s definitely a safety net for me in times of joblessness. I don’t think I could choose to be off work for a considerable length of time as once the hose was clean and the washing was done I would be bored. I’d have to volunteer somewhere I think.AntoMac said:Sounds like your recent stresses are gone now LMD. By minor coincidence I’ll be taking a sabbatical myself soon. Today is a NSD for me. Except for moving money to savings the accounts won’t be touched today. I have made last minute plans to see my sister tomorrow though, as she’s having a bit of a hard time and could do with some support.Sent £5 to the sabbatical as usual today and then £107 to the sealed pot. Including an extra cash envelope 😊 I’m doing ok at the moment but we all know how life can very much get in the way!Thats all from me, back to work with a cuppa I go… at least it’s f-f-f-Fri-yay!LMD xLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2026 1p challenge #7 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £4220/£60000

Yey friyay!!
Have a good weekend x1 -
Hi all, and happy Monday... the fog is really spooky this morning and I'm glad I don't have to commute in it!
I hope you all had a nice weekend? I didn't really do much, I met my sister on Saturday and treated her to brunch, and then yesterday I went to the gym. I am officially on a 'diet' and I'm back at the gym. I've been neglecting the 'healthier' part of this diary for a while now and I needed to have a word with myself... so, back on it
In terms of finances, it's a NSD for me today and I have PADded £5 to the sabbatical as usual. Nothing else is happening in the accounts at the moment, probably a good thing as hubby gets paid on Thursday and I don't get paid for another week.
Anyway, that's your lot from me today. Take care!

I’ve been on a diet too LMD. Reckon I’ve lost maybe 5 pounds of Christmas excesses so far. Good luck to you too, I am trying really hard but I'm such a foodie, when I diet I always end up miserable.AntoMac said:I’ve been on a diet too LMD. Happy Tuesday guys and gals, hope you're OK.
This week seems to be whizzing by, probably because I have been so busy but it won't last as I don't have my day off until Friday this week so it will end up feeling like a long one.
It's not a NSD for me today as I am out tonight, but I need to be home early so I am taking the car and spends should be low. It also means I have less calories in diet coke than in wine or beer.
Today's PAD was £6 - £5 to the sabbatical as usual and then £1 rounding the bank down to the sealed pot. My personal spends account was sitting at £201 which was messing with my OCD...
As I am out tonight I won't have time to go to the gym today, but some cooking and cleaning will mean that I'm not just sitting on my backside
That's about it from me, oh - I'm on book 7 now, still loving reading.

Ooo I like the idea of £1 rounding down and every bit helps right. Another one here who has over indulged and needs to get my food in order.LittleMissDetermined said:Happy Tuesday guys and gals, hope you're OK.
