Good morning, I had a long weekend so I've not really been online much. It was a no spend weekend though so that was a bonus, It's not a NSD today as I am out tonight, but I'm driving so I won't spend much.
I filled envelope 33 yesterday, which leaves just envelope 20 outstanding to complete the 52 envelope challenge, this will be finished next Monday, it's part of my sealed pot money so I'll be opening that late October.
Didn't get much reading done over the weekend, but I have moved on to book 50 which I am about halfway through now so I think I'll get to start 51 by the end of Friday.
PADding has continued, as usual with the £5 daily, I'll be rolling the dice in the morning to add some more to the sealed pot.
Hubby is doing much better this week, has started exercising and his surgeon has now discharged him back to our local hospital (phew) for any follow up care. He has a meeting this week with work to see about arranging a phased return via hybrid working to start.
All seems to be going in the right direction, makes me wary that something else will happen or go wrong!
Ever the cynic!

Welcome to wet, miserable and windy Wednesday - it definitely feels like Autumn is here today! The dog isn't particularly pleased about it either
I only spent £10 last night so that was good, it was a good night, but late and as I was driving in the dark I was a bit too awake to sleep properly so I am shattered this morning. It's a NSD and an early night for me tonight though, (she types as she sits yawning for England!)
Short and sweet update today, hubby has a meeting with work later to discuss phased return....
Have fun and don't get too wet!

Hi all, I had an early night with my book last night and made some good progress, in fact I am already well into book 51 which is by a 'new to me' author and I'm enjoying her writing style so it's one to look out for in the future.
Today's a NSD for me, last one for a while I think though as it's birthday weekend for DSD. I'm off for a few days each side of the weekend, I'm expecting a thick head on Monday haha.
My PAD today was £5 to the sabbatical fund as usual, nothing else happening in the accounts really. I don't get paid until next Friday so the less account activity the better in my opinion!
Hubby is still doing well and is getting out and about without much trouble, he has moments now where he says he feels 'back to normal' so I'm taking that as a huge positive!
Off to work now, catch you all later!

Well, that was quite an extended weekend! The birthday celebrations were fab, and I am quite pleased I had a few days annual leave to recover. It has been very spendy and I am glad I had made a sinking pot towards the party costs.
Back to normal now though, and it's a NSD for me today. I am counting down to Friday which is another day off for me but also it's pay day.
I've also been reading and yesterday I finished book 52, so I have already hit my reading target for the year, DSD says next year I should set a target for pages read instead but I haven't read any short books so I don't think that will make any difference. It will be interesting to see what I can get to before the end of the year.
Another challenge I completed on Monday was the 52 week envelope challenge, I have been filling the extra envelopes from survey pay outs and this year that has been 12 envelopes totalling £298! Not too bad really.
PAD today is £48 which is the £5 to the sabbatical and £43 in dice rolls to the sealed pot... it's close to opening day on 23rd October so we will see what little extra bits can be added in this last month.
That's all from me, I feel like I have waffled this morning!

Good morning, I hope you're all well. It's my Friday today as it's my actual day off tomorrow... I could definitely get used to 2 day weeks! It's also pay day tomorrow so that's been long awaited
2 day weeks means that I'm super busy so I do need this to be a short update... firstly, hubby is doing so much better, he's looking to start working from home next week which will be amazing! Not just financially but especially for his mental health. Physically, the surgeon has said it can take anywhere up to 12 months to fully recover what he's been through.
Finance wise, it's a NSD for me today. My PAD is just £5 to the sabbatical, but there is some left over budget which I can send to savings tomorrow. Not sure which pot yet but it will definitely get saved
Lastly, I am a good way into book 53, I reckon it'll be finished by the end of the weekend!
Hope you all have fabulous days!

I am impressed that you get so much reading time in! I am retired, but what with keeping the house and garden in good condition, other daily chores, exercises and shopping plus caring duties I am lucky to get in 10 to 15 minutes reading time a day!1

Good morning, I always wake up extra early on pay day for some reason so I have already sorted the budget and moved money to savings and other accounts where it needs to be. Even though I'm not working today I think I may be tired later...
It's a NSD for me today, I have promised to take DSD into town tomorrow so there will be some spends there but I feel like I am very restrained these days so I don't think it will be too bad.
PAD included £5 to the sabbatical as usual and then money to travel pots and sinking funds as it was pay day and I like to keep funds out of the way of temptation haha.
So that's it, made some more headway into book 53 last night, it's another new author and I'm enjoying the way she writes so far.
I hope you all have fabulous Fridays!
