Much better day today. No rain and actually quite pleasantly warm. So;
- Walked to the shops and back
- Got some YS chicken swarma kebabs, Not sure what they are but it'll be something different.
- Chilli in the slow cooker. Enough for tonight with pitta and tomorrow with a baked potato
- Did a few cleaning things that have been annoying me. Only problem is I now see an awful lot more
- Had a really nice chat with my neighbour and her daughter. The girl has lost three stone and looks amazing. I'm inspired.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
I did 1/2 an hours weeding in front garden & am now paying for it.

Got my car booked in at my local garage to have a look as it's been making a horrible vibration when it gets to a certain speed. Turns out both my front wheels are bent and need replacing. The mechanic said its happening more and more with potholes but goodness me I must've hit some bad ones to have bent two wheels! The options were to pay £450 +VAT for 2 new ones from the factory with no date for arrival or look for some myself. Found a set of 4 that I like for £900... haven't bought them yet as want to double and triple check they'll definitely fit before I take the plunge but it's going to be very spendy! But today itself was free of charge and was a NSD.8

Staying on NSD 4 as I bought another bulk buy item and my Dad’s birthday present.Quite happy with purchases though. Quakr porridge reduced to £2.30 for a 1kg box on the river retailer’s website. Then I noticed they had an additional offer of 2 boxes for £4. I bought 5 boxes costing me to £10.30 (30p over what was left in my bulk buy budget.)To get free delivery, I had to hit the magic £25 spend, so I took a look at potential birthday gifts for Dad. Found a very cute garden gnome dressed in the football strip of ‘his’ team. Gnome was £22 but an extra £5 off voucher (gifted to me by the river retailer out of the goodness of their heart) reduced it to £17. At check out, another random discount of 5% had been applied to the total shop. 🤷♀️ I’ll take it… thank you very much!Other than my buzz from all the pre-breakfast discounts, my day was busy with work.Grateful today for random discounts, an easy oven dinner, and washing dried on the line.

Well done all, on all your activities! From sorting & clearing conservatories, to getting organised for travelling, to weeding. You all deserve a Just Because You've Worked so Hard Tuesday medal🏅🥇🥇🥇

Got up.at a decent time, did some yoga, then after breakfast I picked a colleague up from the next village, who was car-less & took her to work. There are roadworks just down her road, & at 9am the tailback was very long! Thankfully an HGV driver let me pull out in front of him 😃
Work went ok, covered a couple of staff members in the afternoon, while they had their review meetings, so it made a nice change. Took my colleague home again, then got changed & went for a walk around the block.
The lambs are getting quite big already! Saw a rabbit sitting in the middle of a clump of daisies, which looked so cute & they played some good songs on the radio, so I had a little dance when I knew (hoped!) no one could see me. Thankfully the thick fog from the morning had cleared & the sun came out too.
Noted some purchases from Saturday in my budget & my business account, moved things over to a different handbag & listed a couple of coins on the bay of E.
After tea I completed 2 sewing jobs, then went in the bath with my book. It's called My Kind of Happy by Cathy Bramley. The main character has been in the same job for over a decade & is mourning the loss of her older brother. When sorting through his desk drawers, she finds a letter he'd written to her many years ago but never posted, about finding what makes you happy. She realises that she's just been drifting along & isn't happy with her life, so starts to make a list of things she likes to do.
This got me thinking a little & due to the lack of me time yesterday, I've been more conscious of making time for some today! Seeing wildlife on my walks makes me happy & I'm pleased I did some yoga & went for a walk too.
What makes you all happy?
Today I'm grateful for some me time, kind lorry drivers, making a 5 year old laugh for ages, the rabbit in the daisies, seeing my first butterfly of the year & getting to eat lunch with my 2 work besties, as the 3 of us NEVER get to eat at the same timeUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

I think what makes me happy is travelling, sharing good food with lovely people and having time to myself to write.
woke up with another headache this morning, hope it doesn’t last too long. NSD 1 for me finally yesterday as didn’t make it to the post office. Although managed to lose a cardigan on the metro somewhere so will have to replace that. I wonder how many black cardigans I’ve lost over the years!!
Got a bit upset yesterday as circumstances are forcing me to make an important life decision - basically whether or not to have kids in the next 5 years (which probably means ever), bf has always wanted one, I never have and I’m not ready at this age so I never will be, and I feel annoyed somehow that it’s me that has to make the final decision. What kills me is I know he would make a good dad - although he himself fully admits he would need to grow up a bit - he’s 39 but still acts like a teenager re partying etc, and could I count on him to change? Hope we can work it out as it’s not a deal breaker for him, or so he says.
I need to much another frog today…
Grateful for an understanding bf, for the last day of work before another mini holiday, for headache starting to ease up a bit.Student loan £5655

Good morning,
today I'm grateful for getting up early for some me time, time to read last night, and the ground being dry enough to cut the grass.
Oh Shrewbie, that is a tough decision. My party boy and I changed a lot at the beginning as we had too, (now he's hitting midlife crisis and is regressing) and he is a great dad. Re wanting kids, the only advice I can give you is to ask yourself would you regret not having them once your 50 or 60, is the prospect of possible grandchildren sth you ever considered (I funnily enough was more driven by the thought of being a granny one day, lol) Or would you regret having to wait the next 18 years for them to move out again and have your life and independence back. How set is your BF to have kids. You said it would not be a deal breaker. I guess you probably thought about all this already. The only thing i would emphasise is to try and find a consensus. A friend of mine always wanted kids, he didn't, they are still together, but now it's too late and she regrets that. However, she has nephews and nieces, and loves them and loves giving them back after a sleepover. Good luck.
Will gym today and maybe weed the front garden after work if the weather holds out.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/258 -
Sorry, I'm still struggling. However I have cleaned the bathroom sink and toilet this morning, took 4 bags of rubbish/ recycling out to the bins and checked on a delivery. It said sometime before 8 pm but came shortly after I'd checked. One of the barcodes had a corner ripped off and the poor driver was tearing his hair out, he tried to take a picture of it multiple times, tried a couple of different methods, checked all 3 bags to see if the missing piece was attached to any of them (it was there when he set off this morning). I had to sit down but he left my parcels which was all I was bothered about - I can set off more seeds now.
I'm back upstairs because DS3 has been up and down at various points in the day and is now settled on the couch trying to draw the scenes for his newest game and he found my programme distracting.
Grateful for my bed and pillows, support bandages and socks, getting a few bits done (congratulated myself on just getting down the stairs - it was tough going). Thinking my ankle might have been injured when all the stuff fell out of my bag. The laptop fell on my toe and I had to stay still because it was between my shins and the stairs but wondering if my ankle also got a knock.7
