A busy day yesterday, after work I went to the dump & emptied the boot. Saw some huge chunks of wood, that would be great stacked up in the wildlife area of our garden, so brought them home. Loaded the car up again, this time with things for a CS. Went to visit s friend, who is helping in a CS for the next couple of weeks. Haven't seen her much this year, she's been having a difficult time with bereavements & I'll health. Had a lovely walk by a loch with her daughters. Was late home, so went to bed after supper.
I've done yoga every weekday morning this week, so I'm quite pleased with myself. Managed to read a chapter of my book whilst eating breakfast today. Had a great day at work. My pupil complimented my hair when I arrived, which was lovely.
The sun came out in the afternoon & it was quite warm. Chatted with DS1 & DS3's GF for s while, then when she'd gone to work, me & DS1 chatted in the garden. Watched TV together too.
Did the ironing after tea, then a little bit of my rug.
Grateful for catch ups with friends, compliments, a good couple of days at work, the sun coming out, seeing an owl sitting on a fencepost on the way to my friend's house, that it's fri-yay & the weekend 🎉Use it up, wear it out

Yesterday was an okay day. Moved 2 of the trees into place. My stomach muscles ache. I'm not putting myself under pressure moving the trees - I tilt them onto the rim, keeping them in balance and going slowly so I don't lose control. But I did an awful lot of moving stuff to clear a pathway to take them where I wanted. Lots of ordinary recycling and one bag of garden detritus - some plastic, small leftovers of cardboard that were just soggy lumps and the small mound of sweepings I did last weekend - it had got wet since but was still altogether and it's all rubbish (not sorting through it) so scraped it up with a small plastic dustpan and added it to the bag.
Sorted a bag that the midnight pixies had donated. DS3 thought it was paper. I sat by the blue bin on a chair and sifted through. About half went in the paper bin, most of the rest was rubbish - that's where it's going because when I was near the bottom there were unidentifiable bits and I decided enough was enough. Quite a lot of space in the bag now so brought it back into the kitchen.
On Thursday I cleaned the drawer from the fridge and had a go at the space it sits in. Wiped the space round again, still one or 2 marks but 99% better. Put the drawer back in and then carried a few things through each time I was going that way, a cabbage, a cauli and something else the first time (don't start telling me which should/ should not go in the fridge - it's a full size drawer, everything keeps for weeks, it's an easy height for seeing what's there and getting things out so they'll get used and it's a 'good enough for now' solution).
I did quite a lot of things criss-crossing the kitchen, taking something from the front room, picking things out of bags to go with me (I need one hand free to hold onto things), putting away, picking up things to go to the WM (finally reached the bottom of the pile so the 2 old towels I used for drying the patch of floor I cleaned 2-3 weeks ago went in). Quick trip down to the bins, gathering small pots and mushroom boxes revealed when I moved some of the larger pots and the water butt to leave by the back door (my compost has arrived and most of my seedlings are ready to walk if I don't transplant them soon.
One of my meals was a RM from the fridge. Noticed a lot of litter surrounding the microwave and dotted about so took the bin bag over there when I went to stir the food during cooking and picked up bits once it was back in the microwave. I also ate grapes, mangetout, baby sweetcorn, berries in my breakfast yoghurt, mushrooms, beetroot. Was gifted noodles in curry sauce late on, ate some and will have the remainder today with the last of the mushrooms and mangetout.
Wore my wellies when I was working as they supported my foot and ankle but it hurt when I unwrapped it at night. Still lots to do but just doing what I can, when I can and resting lots. I told the Practice Nurse that there's all sorts of important paperwork on the far side of the bed and it might as well be in a different country. I did a passable job of covering the bed last week, sorted little piles of pens, cutlery (mostly the bamboo I keep in my room as spares), pills and useful bits organised and can get down my side of the bed (I've even delved into the bit of floor at the foot of the bed) but even with my trusty grabber I can't get any further atm.
Today will be more of the same. My greatest triumph yesterday was wresting the legs from a plastic garden shelf by sitting in a chair, putting both feet on the shelf and pulling the leg and moving it sideways to prise it out. DS2 put it in and the waste wizards couldn't get them out. I need the shelf to cover the ground so I can put the next 2 trees into place but there might be quite a lot of other things to move (garden chairs, incinerator lids, large containers and the 2 fold up bags that I never moved to mum's).
Grateful for everything I have done, managing not to brood over 'things we have left undone' (including a particularly knotty frog), making time for fun and sitting down a lot.6 -

Evening turtles
Spend day today, needed some tortilla chips to go with a chilli I made, and paid for a car wash as stupidly parked under a tree yesterday and got my car covered in sap. I also got my quarterly haircut but that was budgeted for.
Have had a banging headache all day, but managed to get a load of washing on plus cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and cooked a curry in the slow cooker. My sister and nieces came to visit, they always get far too excited when they're here according to my sister but I do like to see them.
I also realised I messed up an online booking for an escape room for me and my friends, I forgot to account for myself in the booking so have booked one space fewer than I need! Have emailed the provider to ask if I can add a person, if not it could be awkward!8 -

Hugs to all who need one. Just back from a lovely dinner in a 5 star hotel. Mate's 50 and he treated a bunch of us. Lucky DH can stay over 😭. Couldn't find a babysitter as usual and I had to come home. At least I'll feel fresh in the morning. Not much else to report.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/258

Hugs @beanielou, I hope your back feels better tomorrow.
Took DS3 to town, picked up my mum, then dropped off & collected sewing. Did the food shopping, then trawled some charity shops & a second hand furniture shop for a few dvds DH would like to own. DS3 met his friend, then went to see a band. I went back to mum's & sorted through her dvds, put the duplicates in a pile for the CS. Dropped DS & his friend at his friend's house. Put the shopping away, then spent a couple of hours in the garden, weeding under our 2 apple trees, sowed some wildflower seeds, then tidied a bit more of the long ornamental grass. Picked DS up & had a laugh with his friend's parents.
Grateful for laughter, time in the garden, time with mumUse it up, wear it out

Hope you found a comfortable position to rest in Beanie; and lcc that you manage to squeeze into the room that you then escape from!
Having a frustrating 24 hours on the caring front that threatens to undo the relaxation of a wonderful few days away. Deep breaths required!
Today will have gone well if I manage to complete one financial frog, and take a peek at the other. Do a bit of logistical planning for a few weeks ahead, and reply to a couple of messages from friends. And washing. There are many loads of washing ahead today, but thank goodness I was born into an age and circumstance where I basically need to put it into and out of a machine. If I had to lug all this to the nearest river and scrub it clean, my day would be much worse!9 -
I'm now on NSD No 8
Sorry, I'm having a bit of a wobble this weekend. I seem to have gone from being really positive to imagining all sorts of awful things. Silly, I know. My logical self tells me that I just have to and will deal with whatever life throws at me because I don't have any other choice but my emotional self is in overdrive just now and I'm barely holding back the tears. It'll pass.
So not really achieved a lot. Did zero housework!- Made a Thai chicken curry yesterday (didn't like the schwarma all that much on Friday)
- Made a fish pie for today
- Making a sausage casserole for tomorrow
- Had lovely chats with multiple neighbours yesterday (they are such nice people and so supportive)
- Finished book number 3 and on to number 4
I'll be back to my old self tomorrow. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7
