Iresorted to my biggest bunch of house keys in the end GMN. My hands were so painful I .was worried using a sharp knife wouldn't be a good idea.. Part of me was wondering how on earth I;d ever dispose of all the cardboard many of the boxes were huge. The recycling bin is a good size but will need refilling a few times after collections to dispose of all the card.Normally it's just glass, tins and paper. For years I always had a shredder but when the last one stopped working at the start of the pandemic I was looking at a number of them in Wilkos but decided it was too much to carry with the items I had stocked up on. The council here have been shifting collections back and some weeks haven't collected at all. I don't have much for the general waste bin and if I've been in the garden I collect any things I've cut off trees or weeds in one of the square stand uo alone garden bags I discovered with the very strong eco black bags I found at the same time again at the start of the pandemic both have been really good.Having them delivered has been good as the black bags are a big heavy roll. I've stil got some of the first batch left but would have needed to replace them when they ran out so decided to do it now rather than forget and maybe they would no longer be available. I like the fact I can tip garden waste straight in to the green bin from the stand up square bagewith handles they are very tough anda lot easier than filling ordinary bags.it was late when I got to bed and asI went to take a couple of painkillers Isuddenly noticed Flarin has ibuprofin in it. When I was teaching in the primary school I was always in pain and just to get to work took Ibuprfen for the pain. A few years later I started to get bad stomach cramps spoke to my Dr and she investigated and it was stomach ulcers Iwas never to take Ibuprofin constantly again. The dosage is two at a time and I sat i bed thinking do I take it or not I really needed to sleep. I opened a box and took one but it took ages to get to sleep. The hayfever tablets aren't the Boots brand I've always taken but they do contain Certirizine like them. Youngest needs a different ingredient in hers but these seem the same as the ones I;ve always taken. It's a pack of 12 boxes so unlikely to run out for a long time.I did get to sleep eventually and woke to the sun shining through the bedroom curtains at 7am the Robins will be singing again.I checked my emails 6 smaller items to be delivered today between 8 and 10 pm so that means not having to be on delivery watch from the crack of dawn. None of them need a big box thankfully.I hope you have a good day and have got this sunny weather. Last night I was thinking while you're trying to be kind to yourself it might be an idea to invest in a comfy seat for the garden you can sit and rest in.I'm going to take one of the hayfever and allergy relief tablet and will probably wander in to the front garden later.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Good morning,
it's so dreich here today, can't even see the other side of the river as the haar moved in. This spring has been rubbish. Although rain this weekend is appropriate, even the heavens are weeping....
Missed my alarm this morning, so no journal or yoga, but luckily woke up early enough to get everyone out of the house in time and make a salad for lunch. Will definitely gym today!

I've just noticed I've been Time Travelling again. I'd replied to fOxhOles time travelling post but have found it on the April thread. Not long after posting earlier this morning I was sitting on the bed fully dressed debating what I should do today. There was very loud knock on the front door. So I grabbed a mask and ran down stair ery exhausted I opened the front door surprised to find my postman there. He had a number of smaller items not mentioned in my emails so I was glad to see him and for the deliveriesNo cardboard just little padded envelopes.Meanwhile items are being added to those to be delivered later. Some by10pm, 8pm.9pm and 4.45 pm. If the man in the hat was here he'd say I was living in interesting times.I am hoping that will be everything I've ordered being delivered. Once everything is here I'm thinking of taking a break from ordering anything else.I have been trying to think of challenges and targets but these deliveries have been distracting me. I don't have debt my mum put the fear of debt iinto us. When Iwas taking out the mortgage on this house she was horrified but I made the last mortgage payment on the eve of the new Millenium exactly 25 years after taking on the mortgage. One small thing I could do is go back to walking to the Coop for my shopping it's alwys nice and quiet in there and was very well stocked when I walked there a few days ago . There is also the next door pharmacy. I've decided it would be unwise to take the Flarin. When pain is bad I can get Cocodamol there or just Paracetamol if pain isn't so bad. Coop hasn't had Paracetamol for a while but the pharmacy has. They also had my Hayfever tablets and have enough of those for a whileI need to ger these legs used to walking againI also need to remember to take my phone with me after waiting hours for a taxi home . Times like that I phone youngest and she'll call another firm.I have been trying to remember what day it is for a long time and working out when the bank holidays are. It was a bank holiday when I walked to the Coop but it was open as usual thereThe 2 hour wait for a taxi was because they were overwhelmed on the Bank Holiday.I've still got some of the facemasks the Pharmacist in town was wearing when I;d picked a few up at the pharmacy here theywere hopeless and very expensive. There was very long elastic ties but I asked the Boots pharmacist about the one she was wearing. She had a small face like me and her mask had soft earloops.iasked if they were on sle and she said they will be but the staff have just recieved theres. I was picking up all youngests monthl meds so she looked at me and said I could sell you a box if you like so I bought one I started to buy a box when they had them instore and I still have an unopened box of 50.It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Staying on NSD 3.
After doing paired-reading at the school this morning, I went to my appointment with the chiropodist. I've been going to the same chiropodist for a few years now and I always ask how her furry babies are doing and get a full update. I like cats so I do enjoy the cat chat and the cute pictures. I think she gave me a wee 'mates rates' discount today because it usually costs £38 but she told the receptionist to put through £30.
OH text to say we were short of an onion for this evening's dinner, so I popped to Saneberries. I still had £40 left from my bulk shop budget and used £20 of that to bulk buy Katsu sauce, tortillas, and tinned peaches... 3 items that we use regularly. All three of them were in the new 'SmartShop' app deals this week with a decent 40-50p off each item so it'll save us a few pounds. It is a bit annoying that online shoppers don't get access to the deals but I suppose it makes sense for Saneberries to get people into their stores where they're more likely to buy a few wee extras. Not me, Mr Saneberries! I'm on to you!
Money appeared in my V!ntd account from a couple of recent sales - a few extra pounds for the mortgage OP.
Grateful today for reading kids all being 'up for it' today, for hearing the P1s/DS singing 'Lean on Me' at their music class, for savings on groceries, for good radio tunes in the car, and for OH making dinner (he's some man).

NSD 3 today. Which is just as well as overspent on dinner last night when we went out. But hey ho.
Not really much to report, work was quiet, managed to sneak off home at lunchtime to wfh for the rest of the day.
Off to spinning class shortly, then dinner, bath and bed! What an exciting Friday night lol.9 -
Today I am grateful for sunshine (sorry, Thriftylass!), for a good day at work, for now having just 16 working days left, for DH prepping tea, for dc deciding to go to a youth group tonight.

Toni I liked that series too. Enjoy!
Hugs to those that need them.
Made a sandwich for dinner, was tempted to have school dinner, but wasn't going to pay the staff rate of £6 for a burger/hotdog & an ice cream! Will stick to the sproutday meal only.(nearly typed the word then - sorry elves!)
A different day as my pupil went home sick. Got chance to draw a huge union jack & help with the painting of it. Don't remember when I last painted a picture! A blip in the middle of the day, but hopefully it's sorted now. Made my chest pound though.
Dashed home, got changed & walked to the doctor's, only to find my appointment was 4.15, not 4.30. I'd miscalculated my times. Still got seen, but only one thing looked at. Have an appointment to see a physio & another Dr appointment in a couple of weeks.
Did a sewing job, then worked on my rug & watched tv. Had to be taxi driver at midnight, so pleased I managed to stay awake.
Grateful for the blip getting sorted, the support of a friend, children safely delivered to their home & oursUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
