Today was successful because I:
- Put a washing and got it line dried
- Emptied the dishwasher
- Went for a short walk
- Posted V!ntd order
- Made a batch of chilli
NSD 2 today.
Grateful for DS giving me a great hug before going through the school gates this morning, for getting lots done at work (ticking off tasks feels good), for Mum emptying her fridge of expiring food and giving it to me (she’s terrible for buying too much but I did enjoy the addition of corn on the cob with our chilli), and for an interesting series on TV showing footage of people’s lives throughout the 80s/90s in Russia, Ukraine, Chechnya… throughout history power-hungry men seem to be at the centre of all that causes death and destruction to innocent people.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸10 -
Thanks for the good wishes, I felt better today.
Did yoga before breakfast, had leftovers for my packed lunch, so got to read lots of my book whilst eating breakfast 🤓 Work went well, managed a walk with my pupil in the afternoon. Saw a man (who must be a teacher) at the secondary school, who used to give me a very big smile when I worked in a tearoom a few years back. Got another big smile today. When I mentioned it to DS3, he said he's creepy! Made me feel good anyway.
Went for a walk with work bestie after work. DS3'S GF was over for tea when I got home. She was pleased to be here, instead of home & reminded of all ages going through just now. She didn't want to go home, bless her.
Got 2 sewing jobs done.
Grateful for smiles, reading lots, going for walks, seeing GF & her having a change of sceneUse it up, wear it out

I posted esrlier but it's not there 2nd missing post in a couple of days . I haven't really been online much but did notice MSE somebodys message about the new version of the site.I used to hate the old gree version years ago and although many complained about the blue replacement I loved it and the emojis.Iused to wind up a friend who hated Kale by typng Kale,Kale Kale across the screen. Haven't been able to do that or ROTFL for a long times. I'm a bit wary when the techies anounce a new something these days. The looking at new homes began but was scuppered by Sciatica. That added to the rotator cuff tears and rib damge made things difficult.I've seen two lovely bungalows both perfect and one of the converted shops round the corner my friend who bought the lovely old haberdashery when it went on the marketand converted the ground floor in to her sewing and craft business with a small cafe and garden at the back. Sheand the beloved cat live upstairs.Oddly enough I had posted about the vinyl GMN wondering if you'd heard from DWP. The auctioneer a while back is the man who has just verified the skimpy leather shortsi in my lost post about the auction of Freddies Treasuresare indeed the genuine atricle. Is there anychance DS3 and beloved could fiind somewhere affordable to rent?I'm sitting in bed mentally composing a message for the big river site. Twice this week I've found cards in the hall from Parcelforce who we haven't seen around here for years as they were so awful. After sleepless nights I've been back downstairsby 5am in themorning sitting in the frontroom withthe curtaindopen anda clear view of the road outside. The other day at some point I found a card in the hall could not deliver. No one had knocled on the front door andi hadn;t seen a Parcelforce van. I went outside after a while and managed to gimd a bih heavy box wefged behing my black bin and the garsge door Staggered indoors with that. The following day another card I've no idea what the delivery was but it's not identified on either Parcelforce or my messages from Amazon .The card said taken to Post Office. There is a post office with an Amazon counter at the top of my road but parcel has been taken to a post office miles away. Not being fit enough to drive these days I'm not wel enough to go there. Parelforce always used to deliver heavy and big boxes so I'm wondering if it could be 10 large bottles of the Fentimans Rose Lemonade I've been craving since the Coop started struggling to get their usual stocks.Whatever it is I have already been charged for it had a similar issue a coupe of weeks ago and sent Amazon a message and they refunded the money that had been taken.I'm glad the Christening went well. From all the feedback I had the ManU protest was organised and orderly nothing like the invasion of OldTrafford and protests at the lowry Hotel where both teams were staying until things calmed down.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Good morning turtles!
I got a lot done in the morning yest including ticking off a nasty frog which almost made me 🤢and sending my sis some info on Spain’s nomad visa, but was seriously flagging by lunchtime. Short run in the gym at lunchtime and managed to get outside for a break mid-morning and then again to eat my lunch and had a chat with one of the receptionists. No NSD as bf did the shopping for us.
Totted up Seville spends which came to €200 for me plus €50 for the tickets for visits which comes out of the travel budget so not counted in personal spends.

Maintain connections
The 3 Rs of Relationships - from innerspace.org.uk
Here are the 3 Rs to make the relationships that matter most, easier: Roles, Rules, and Rituals.
- Roles: know your specific role and what is expected of you in each relationship; otherwise there's frustration and confusion when roles are unclear.
- Rules: regularly discuss and review your rules, boundaries that outline what your limits are and where you stand; and know when to compromise.
- Rituals: create and maintain simple rituals that build meaningful connections, such as making eye contact as you say 'good morning' and 'goodbye'.

Yesterday I needed drinks so long trek downstairs - threw down a small bag of rubbish and took a bag with 4 books in down with me - 3 to go on the downstairs shelves, one to go back to the library. Picked another small bag of rubbish up (already gathered up and tied off) to the bins and some liquid veg (I'd thrown some outside the night before but didn't have any energy left to go down the yard. In all I did 17 small tasks including watering all the seeds on the front room windowsill (4 trips from kitchen to windowsill) and turning them round, filling the sink with soda crystals and scrubbing all the gunk off, baling rusty water out of an old kitchen bin, clearing the weeds from between a patch of cobbles and chatting with Mr Robin.
Then took myself and my bacon barm cakes back upstairs, showered and got dressed, had a little post lunch nap and several hours of resting. Quite happy with what I'd done but went back down later and did a few more bits whilst putting together leftover curry, packet rice from mum's stash and a heap of cauli and broccoli (frozen - other half of the back left in fridge to defrost as I want to use it today and it was stuck together in huge lumps). I decided against trying too hobble to the £ emporium to see if they've restocked the coir compost (ankle and knee said no).
Grateful for Mr Robin, sprouting seeds, enjoyable books and series, my bed, the cushion from mum's broken couch, finding comfortable positions to sleep that supported my leg, ankle, back and head.
I need to speak to DS3 and Beloved again polly, but for now I'm sorting my own stuff out (need to chase up the Council Tax refund on mum's bungalow and lots of other things) and doing what makes me happy. I'm hoping to get the remaining classical records in order this week, so that DS3 can complete that part of the cataloguing. DWP finally signed off, we're now waiting for probate (DS2's responsibility) but we're going to miss the next auction and probably the one after (they need the records a month before the 3 monthly auction) and DS1 and/or DS2 will need to have input as DS3 isn't an executor.
My ankle isn't ready for prolonged standing but there are lots of things I can do sitting down.9 -
Thank you FOxholes I was beginning to think I was losing my mind. I remembered posting about good garden paints but it wasn't showing.By 6am this morning I'd counted 23 to be delivered today emails. One showed a picture of the rose lemonade so at least that wasn't what the Parcelforce courier took to the Post Office. I noticed they'd added to their could not deliver message and addeNd behind bin. Well I'd found it behind the bin myself and I'm going to make it clear I do not want Parcelforce deliveries.I still have no idea what they took to the post office so need to ask Amazon about that.It wouldbestupid to ttry to get there myself. Ihave to choose my challenges and that one is as step too far.Good news is the painkillers and antihistamines are being delivered today which is quicker than I imagined. It was cool but still sunny yesterday evening so Istood outside the front door again and listened to all those robins singing away . You would have loved it GMN.The times I'vebeen in the gardens recently I've felt my eyes itching and nose twitching although I wear a facemask. Not going to town for a couple of years means I've avoided all the lovely floral displays and the flower beds youngest and I used to wander around until we both started sneezing and our eyes running and we'd say hayfever and head for the pharmacy. It's flower show time so town will be packed and the air full of pollen blowing over from the showground.I'm glad DWP have signed things off. and hope it wont be too long before you're able to reclaim your home. It's good to concentrate on things that bring you joy and you need to focus on those and not be pushing yourself beyond your limits. All the throwing things downstairs then carrying bags upstairs can't be doing you much good. It's nearly 1pm and not a single delivery yet. Looks as though it's going to be a long day.pollyx

Well I was hoping to catch up but a long post I wrote a couple of days ago has gone in to the ether.I'm not sure if numbering me unlucky 13 has had an effect.Hugs and positive outcomes for those having difficult times.Forcing myself to walk to the Coop a couple of days ago wiped my out.The shop was well stocked they had loads of lovely organic fairtrade bananas GMN.The ever growing orders from the big river site has been productive but exhausting. The other day there was a card in the hall at the crack of dawn/ I'd been downstairs for hours and no one had knocked on the door It was from Parcel Force. Amazon sropped using them here years ago my heart sank but I had a look outside and finally found a big very heavy box behind my black bin and wedged against the garage door. Safe but why not knock on the door.Another card in the hall yeasterday whwn I was again in the front room after another sleepless night. This time parclel has been taken to a Post Office. Not the one at the top of the road with an Amazon counter but one miles away. That will be a taxi job.As a Man U fan I hope the march didn't grt in your way all the feedback I've had is it was peaceful and well policed unlie the one when Old Trafford was breached. We have talked about pacing over the years and you really need to try it rather than going beyond your limits. Two years ago I realused shopping in a touest town in the busy season was a bad show. Air Show Flower show and everyhing else are due to hsppen now so I.m sticking with little Coop and now the big river site.I managed to get in the back garden a couple of weeks ago. The other day I was in the front one debating whether to go to the Coop and cutting some trees. It was breezy and coolishbut the sun was out. I do't know if you remember me having to cut back the trees a couple of years ago with the help of two good friends. I had to order a new pair of Left Handed secataurs as mine had done a vanishing act. Felco are very expensive but the big river site delivered them promptly. In your position I would have concentrated on other things outside before ordering plants. The hollies and other trees and shrubs a gardener told me would die haven't and I was listening to the robins and blackbirds best beloved cat used to watch as he sat under the tree watching them were singing away it was lovely and so was seeing buds and signs of future red berries on the Hollies.Reading posts from Beanie and others you need to stop pushing and going further than sensible when you go out.I was reading about Freddies freind auctioning his treasures including his skimpy leather shorts. That fan meeting tok place in this town and the auctioneer I mentioned to you was the person who has verified they are genuineI have no idea if you have heard back from DWP about your exs bequest to the boys. It could be worth following that up then you may be able to send the vinyl to auction and help DS3, Beloved and the Chinchillas find a home of ther ownTake care and take it easy.PollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
