DH has fell asleep on the sofa and it's only the 2nd day 😂 but when he went back yesterday everything was such a mess so got to sort everyone else crap out before he can start!Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Please tell me DH starts later too and isn’t working 14 hour days @bubbs
I’m just back from the WI. It was great. We had a speaker talking about Operation Nimrod - the Iranian Embassy siege with footage and details not released until a few years ago. Really interesting. Best bit was I won the raffle lol - a bottle of rose. Also bought two plants as they had a sale table. I had a tea and a Blue Riband so total syns for today 5.5.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings1 -

Morning all,
Your pic inspired me to make some quiche this morning @bubbs. It's in the oven now and I'll have some for lunch.
I was exhausted after our team meeting yesterday - which could have been cut by two hours at least if all the chatter was cut! When they started to talk about projects for next year I left - cos I'll not be there (insert dancing emoji here 🤣).
Today's food:
B - yoghurt (0.5 syns), fruit salad
L - quiche with leftover ham, huge salad and pickles
D - meatballs with spaghetti, Parmesan (HEXA)
Will probably have a couple of hi-fi bars (HEXB) with a coffee early evening.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Morning all
Hope your DH doesn't have to do the long days for too long @bubbs, used to hate them when I had to do 12hr + days. Food looks lovely as usual!
WI meeting sounds interesting @Coxy11 and well done on winning the raffle!
Wish I could use that excuse to just leave meetings @Jellybaby when people start talking about projects. I have my appraisal tomorrow which should be interesting 🙄😆
Foot's looking a lot better today so might chance a little walk later. Stomach on the other hand is feeling very bloated and quite uncomfortable so no breakfast for me this morning, and possibly no lunch either depending on how it goes. Plan for dinner tonight is Japchae, a Korean noodle dish that's basically a way of using up all the veg in the fridge with some sweet potato noodles and a soy based sauce. Quite light but filling and good for warmer weather.
Right back to work bits, hope everyone has a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Youngest has joined us in weight loss, he doesn't really need to as he is already a perfectly normal size but he would like to see a few pounds (a literal few) gone bearing in mind that at his height, even a few pounds over ideal really shows up (he is exactly 5ft tall). He is basically mirroring what I have and has lost a pound this last week.
Official weigh in for us today, middle son has been suffering from fluid retention in the heat which has been incredibly frustrating and demoralising for him, he is sticking to plan but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep his spirits up.
We had a BBQ to go to last Saturday, we came away polishing our halo's as we took our own SW friendly food, synned everything and kept away from all temptation of the lovely cakes, dips, crisps, full fat sausages, burgers, buns and alcohol that were on offer, I even made a SW coleslaw. We both ended the day well within syns.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
