I shared a pulled pork chip with Mr L - he ate most
Actually weren't as nice as I remembered from the last year we went, perhaps taste buds are bored beyond belief of late and I found them to be sweet
And I didnt go mad on the free samples, a tiny cube of cheese and a taste of curry sauce - Mr L stopped at every stall for a sample
Breaded chicken in the air fryer with salad for tea, I did myself a potato cut into wedges and coated in Cajun spice, didnt manage the whole potato but ate a pile of salad
No idea on Syns, and tbh its so hot I dont care
According to my fit watch thingy, Ive burned 2600 calories so far today so and not a mission have I taken in that amount so that that, And I still might go for a 2 miler when the sun drops so plenty of exercise , oh and my skipping for Cancer which my watch doesn't track0 -
Morning all. Well done on the loss @Jellybaby
Hope your dad starts to put on some weight soon @bubbs and enjoy your trip to Clacton - grew up not that far from there but haven't been back for a very long time.
Well done to everyone else for keeping on track where they can.
Dad was discharged late on Friday but has to go back to the clinic today for an update / to have his drain removed. So I got to have over 24 hours in my own home for the first time in a while but back to the parents again last night. Put on 1lb this week but think it's because of the heat - I swell up like no one's business. Keeping hydrated today ahead of spending hours no doubt waiting in the hospital again.
Hope everyone has a good day - hoping normal service will be resumed tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Morning everyone,
Roasty toastie here already - not complaining though!
Good news about your dad @ruby_eskimo hopefully the update today will keep things moving for him. That wee pound is more than likely to be fluid and you'll have it off in no time.
WFH today but catching up with work friend at lunchtime. We're heading to our usual cheap and cheerful cafe so baked potato with something is on the cards.
Today's plan:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, large fresh fruit salad
L - baked potato with something, salad
D - chicken skewers, roasted veg
Trying out the skewers from the freezer chain shop. Has anyone tried them? Everyone in group on Saturday was raving about them so will report back - think they are 1 syn per skewer. Normally I'd make my own but maybe a good standby for busy days (if they taste nice!).
Have a good day all.

You're doing the right thing to stay as hydrated as possible @ruby_eskimo. You'll soon see off the fluid. It's so uncomfortable during hot weather. 🤞🏼 your dad gets seen and sorted ASAP this afternoon.
Is that the Iceland freezer shop @Jellybaby? Let us know how you get on with the skewers.
It's baking hot here too, probably as hot as it is in Turkey. I'm sure that come Thursday I'll find it easier to manage with the sea, a pool and air conditioning! 🤣
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, fried eggs (P)
L- ham (P), fried veg and potato (F,S), pickles (S)
D- baked haddock (P), new potatoes, mushy peas(F), broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
Syns- 00 -
