Evening all, not had good weather today! Thunderstorms for an hour or so but had brilliant weather up until then. Changed the bedding yesterday but had to do it again today as the roof light over the the bed leaked when it started raining! PITA but not else we could do.
Glad your dad has now moved to the home and I’m sure he’ll improve and put on weight there @bubbs.
Had a 4 course meal including wine at lunchtime for E14! Absolutely great value and really tasty - not particularly SW friendly but I’m on holiday.
Enjoy your holidays @bubbs and @maman.
Well done to all the losers.0 -
Well done on your loss @Abbafan1972. 👍 You obviously needed some fresh motivation after losing your 7 stone on SW.
It's difficult sometimes to find a balance between eating things we like regularly and getting bored/sickened by them. That beef with soy and noodles sounds like a Chinese fake away @SingleSue. 😋 It would probably work with chicken too.
I rarely have a JP as a side @Longwalker but agree I couldn't eat one dry. I have cottage cheese or chilli or the prawns @bubbs had yesterday or tuna mayo or baked beans. They all make a good lunch.
How refreshing to have good customer service from your venue yesterday @Coxy11. It's becoming quite rare. Have a lovely time in Suffolk, hope the weather holds for you. 🤞
It's been glorious here today @Jellybaby I changed the bedding and washed everything, even the mattress topper and pillow protectors. It's great when everything dries on the line.
Can't imagine why you've not tried other roasted veg @bubbs. Onions are great, especially red ones and red peppers. Enjoy your holiday, have a relaxing break, you need it. 🤗
We're not going away until Wednesday. I've done my shop today and it'll be a bit of a balancing act to eat up all the fresh food. Today I've had both slices of bread for my HEB. I usually only have one for breakfast.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, bacon, eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- HEB toast, mackerel in mustard sauce (P), salad bits (S)
D- liver, bacon (P), onions, broccoli, mushrooms (S), potato cubes, peas (F)
Syns - weekend wine 😁0 -
Luckily the heat here is keeping thoughts of food away
Was out and about till 2pm had a big bowl of chopped fruit and yoghurt with oat bran. Didnt like the grapes, tasted like marzipan???They had fish and chips, I had kippers and salad and wholemeal pitta. Used the last of yesterdays tzatziki to get it down me, didnt enjoy it at all but needs mustHave made a huge batch of sugar free granola using this recipe date-sweetened-3-seed-granola. Its really nice. Theres a bit of sweetness to it but not much. Ive been missing crunch - biscuits and crisps - and a small handful of granola over the yoghurt eases that , like I say Im all about texture so hopefully Ill get through this with out sickening myselfWorking tomorrow as Sunday - 11 - 5 - no break, so will take my fruit and yoghurt to munch on as and when. Tomorrow night is pasta night and whilst I do have a fridge of veggies, Sunday will be chicken and saladTodays, and most days lunch , and yes thats Fat and Sugar free yoghurt0 -
Good morning 🌞
@Longwalker that granola sounds lovely.
Had a day filled with temptation yesterday. I took the older 2 kids to the Trafford Centre for the cinema and lunch. Went to see the little mermaid. Normally the cinema would mean a big frappuccino, popcorn and sweets. I had a diet lemonade instead. I did have 2 Percy pigs (1.5 syns each!! 😩) but nothing else.
Dinner was yo sushi - a VERY expensive treat. I stuck to Miso soup, cucumber maki and only splurged on an inari tofu pocket - no katsu or fried stuff.
Tea was cheesy pasta for the kids, which I love, but I did a big tray of roasted tomato, mushroom, onion and tofu to have with my pasta instead so tea was all free or speed.
Rounded off the day with a slimline G&T.
I was over syns at 17.5, but considering my previous habits I was quite pleased.
Today I've got a busy one of various classes and playdates for the kids. For tea Mr CC is trying out his new pizza oven, not sure how I will calculate the syns as it's all homemade.
Breakfast this morning has been what the kids call 'waffle omelette' - eggs cooked in the wafflemaker. I rarely eat eggs but they were on the use by date and I hate food waste.
Have a lovely day everyone 😊Unsecured debts total -

Hi all,Not been great the last couple of days. Put 1lb on at WI Thursday, not sure where this came from. Ate a bag of popcorn that evening. Also been snacking on chocolate that was in the house.Yesterday I went to a Bbq, I had a feeling there wasn't going to be healthy options so had a bowl of sweet potato curry before I went. Ended up having 1 pint of lager, 1 hot dog, and way too many crisps.
Hoping I can pull it back and get a loss this week as otherwise I'll be back in a different stone bracket.
Going to go for a run shortly then back to menu plan for the week ahead before the shopMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

@canvascamper, the granola is lush, Ive just boxed it up, its turned out really well. I might add a wee bit more cinnamon next time. Lord knows how old the stuff I had was so it may have lost a bit of punchEnjoy your pizza. You will probably have to weigh your pizza ball and syn it as white bread? Unless there is dough on the app? We not used our oven yet this year, I darnt risk the syns
@annabanana82, I feel your pain. I was in that head space last week and it took a few days of not giving a dam to get out of itIm ok with BBQ as I dont like the baps or hot dog rolls usually served so I take the meat and salad. Luckily people as a whole are getting more adventurous with BBQ and often there is fish which Im first in the queue for , but then we live near the sea and know lots of people who fish, someone will always turn up with a bag of mackerelEnjoy your run, clear your head, and good luck moving forward xx0 -
Thanks @Longwalker I don't know why we sabotage ourselves so much at times.Run was good, really felt it after so feels like I've done some good I don't want to undo.@bubbs (hopefully) are your pickled onions homemade? We love pickled onions, but I'm fussy, so homemade or Garners are my preference but Garners are so expensive nearly £4 a jar and they are gone in one family salad mealMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Sorry to hear you had a gain @annabanana82. ☹️ You've got a few days to rein back so 🤞 you can STS at least.
I'm certainly with you on food waste @canvascamper. I'm on a mission to eat up all the fresh food in the house by Tuesday. I think tomorrow I'll make some extra roast potatoes to freeze.
Well done on resisting the usual cinema snacks. 👍 Not sure how you'd make the cheesy pasta but I love having Parmesan on pasta dishes. It's only relatively recently that SW introduced the second HEA per day. Brilliant decision IMO. 😁
I really don't like burger buns either @Longwalker. I never bother with a bun when we have burgers at home. I'm another fish lover. Great that you can get it locally.

Evening all
1/2lb gain for me , but tbh could be a lot lot worse with everything going on 😪 next week i am on holiday i might be mindful what i eat , yet again i might not 🤣🤣
Denise lovely to see you popping, unfortunately he is not, he is loosing hand over fist, now 42kg 😪😪 The doctor came to see us and he said he cannot believe it, he left there 24th April at 52kg , Mum asked if it was the cancer spreading and he said no, she also asked this in the hospital and all scans show no.
Today he was in bed, fully clothed and the duvet on, Mum kept saying are you not boiling? No he said.
He would not eat breakfast, but he would eat a jelly and banana so that's better than nothing, he would not eat lunch, but they made him a 2 egg omelette and he ate all that. He had had 500ml juice, we got another 350ml down him.
We also asked for a side table as how do they expect him to drink when he can't get out of bed or reach it. So we filled it up and left it there, put his cake and biscuits and tissues there, as he has a love affair with tissues 🤣
Anna yes pickled onions are home made but not by me 😂 my friend always gives me big sweet jars full , she does not make them , she knows someone that does but will not let me pay for them as i do her shopping and a lot for her but they are delicious .
