Sorry about the gain @annabanana82
Been so hot here today and just as I finished watering the plants the heavens opened, what a downpour. Weigh in this morning and 1.5lbs off. Consultant said you don’t look very happy! Course not, I wanted a stone off, if only 🤣🤣 I am happy with that though (it obviously hadn’t reached my face when he spoke to me haha).
I’m another who’s not keen on burger buns. I’ll occasionally use the large flat mushrooms instead, really tasty and very filling.
Ham joint in the slow cooker for tomorrow’s dinner and I’ll make some lentil soup with the stock once I’ve skimmed any fat off.0 -

@Jellybaby Well done xxWell I was definitely hungry last night, even after a huge bowl of pasta, I found a caramel slice and two bites and it was goneActually thinking on, it wasnt hunger, I was exhaustedToday will be interesting, we are heading out to NI version of the ideal home exhibition and the Food show. Its tiny in comparison to what goes on over in the UK but still its a day out. Last time we went there was this food cart that sold the most amazing dirty fries - we shared a portion and they were beautiful - I have to avoid like the plague, and an amazing patisserie where I got these gorgeous miniature cakes - cost a fortune but oh so good. So beautiful to look at and twice as nice in the tumI shall take in a bottle of drink with me so I dont mistake thirst for hunger - fingers crossed it worksWe had a tiny bit of rain last night, not even enough to help the garden but hopefully enough to settle the dust for a while. Downside of country living, is the dust. The silage was cut at the start of this dry spell which creates dust, then they slurry spread and thats just dried instead of being soaked in with the rain, so the dust levels are horrendous. The tractors coming and going bringing in the hay are just churning it up constantly . Even the washing comes in covered in dust. Between dust and melting tar - yes our roads are melting and the council are spreading grit ( more dust) my car and shoes are a mess.Remember on Little Britain, the diet consultant ? Eat Dust? Thats me at the momentBut good news is Im not working today. I was rostered, but it was quiet enough yesterday and they think it will be the same today so Im not required. Wee tea room on a Petting Farm , sold a lot of slushies and ice cream yesterday but no food or teas0

Hey up all 😁
Gosh it's hot!
Jelly sorry missed your loss well done 👏👏
Hope you enjoyed your caramel slice longwalker.
I know what you mean about dust longwalker, we live next to a field 😏 but when he combines he does come round knocking and telling everyone to shut all there windows and doors but by god it's usually the hottest day of the year and living in a lodge that means about 40-45 inside 😱😱
I took the car for a wash so all clean for the holibobs, DH said do you only wash it when we are going away 🤣 don't see the point with all the dust around 😂
One of my sisters has been to see Dad today he was out of bed in the lounge 👏👏 ate all his lunch 👏👏 but was worn out and asked to be taken back to his room to have a rest, Mum will be there now.
My sister did say there was no table there, they brought one yesterday when i asked so he can reach a drink, he had one before all the time, so she going to ring Mum to ask them to put it back
Food today.

Well done @Jellybaby! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You're really back in the zone after your visitors and holiday. 👍🏼
I can empathise with the dust problem too. We live on an unmade road and it's awful at this time of the year. The worst culprits are delivery vans that churn it up while they're racing along. In the winter it's a mud bath. You just can't win! 🤣
Hope you enjoy your day out @Longwalker. You're right to be careful not to confuse thirst and hunger. Sometimes though we just fancy eating something. SW is all about balance of treats and healthy foods though so we have to prioritise how we want to use the 105 (max). Last night I was temped by some big, blueberry muffins that DD brought round for DH. 20 syns for a muffin! Weekend wine won! 😁
When I was getting to target I was strict with myself except on holiday when I eat and drink what I like and I've more or less stuck with that. I have to keep telling myself that my holiday doesn't start until Wednesday though.😉
You're dad does sound settled @bubbs and great news that he's eating his meals. Where are you off to this time and will it involve fish and chips by the seaside? 🤔🤣
I've been busy this morning doing chips and roast potatoes for the freezer to make sure I don't waste any potatoes. I've also chopped up and frozen a pepper and some celery that were in the bottom of the fridge.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- LO casserole (P,F,S)
D- HB braised steaks (P,S), roast potatoes (F), various Speed veg (S)
Syns- weekend wine😁0 -
Maman of course it will involve fish and chips 🤣🤣 ice cream and all sorts 😋🙈
We are going Clacton, we nearly wasn't going anywhere, i was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lucky, forgot to tell you as it happened Thursday.
I was in Farmfoods and the lad knows me in there , knows i look for bargains for refuge. Anyway i had been in there 15/20 mins when he comes up to me and says do you drive a Nissan? I said yes a Juke why? He then dangles my keys and said are these yours? I went OMG yes, where were they? He said a lad just handed them in, they must have fell out my bag, i didn't even know 😱 Good job he was honest, he could have just clicked the keyring and nicked my car 😱Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Hi all
Apologies for not being around to applaud/commiserate gains or losses. We have been so busy with family and domestic stuff and both OH and I have realised that we need to slow up some days when we are away now that we are clocking up the years, holidays for us are all about seeing and doing as much as we can wherever we are visiting.
TBH I am struggling a bit with the plan too, in theory it should be great for me, but I cannot eat big meals so need to top up between times, it is all too easy when I am busy/tired/out of the house for long hours (11.5 hours the other day) to need to grab something with too many syns.
Doing O.K. today so far, 3 syns for a Hifi bar, but no idea about supper as OH is under orders to sort his own out. I may open a sachet of MW rice and add some cold sausage and sautéed mushrooms and pepper with a side salad.
In theory we will be away for another week from next Sunday (always try to go somewhere in my birthday week), but so far have little enthusiasm, need to give myself a shake.
Here's to a good SW week all, and best wishes to all that are poorly or have poorly loved ones. x
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
How lovely to hear about an honest person @bubbs. 👍 He really saved the day for you. Have a lovely time in Clacton. I've not been there for years but there's plenty to do and see in the area. Enjoy!
You do need to pace yourself @maddiemay. The weather has been energy sapping too. I found taking a satsuma or banana in my bag/car was useful if I thought I might be out over meal times. Happy Birthday in advance. I'm sure you'll think of somewhere good to go. 😊0
