Morning all,
Sorry to hear things are difficult with your DDad @ruby_eskimo - I hope you get some answers soon x
I will check with Mum @joedenise and see where she's been referred to.
Good luck with the new line manager @annabanana82 - mine is lovely but lives in Devon so we only have a fortnightly half hour catch up. I could do with some motivation so please send some my way if you have spare.
Loving all the foodie photos
I am feeling sluggish this morning. I've ordered a food delivery which arrives at lunchtime and contains plenty of speed food. There's a portion of SW easy chicken curry leftover for my lunch as DH is in Birmingham today. DDad will have the rest of the chicken soup I bought yesterday.
Food today:
B - poached egg, spinach, mushrooms, 1 x wm toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - LO chicken curry - free
D - SW creamy sausage pasta - 5 (I'm using up some pork sausages from the freezer)
HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - skinny bar
Syns - 5
Have a good day all.

Morning all, this morning has turned out really nice after a very grey start first thing. I spent nearly an hour at the hospital to get another blood test done - just wish the GP had thought about these tests last week when I had the last one done!
Hope things improve for your dad @ruby_eskimo and you get some answers soon.
How are things with your dad @bubbs? Any sign of carers yet?
Don't know if you saw my later post yesterday @Coxy11? I got my referral letter in the post at lunchtime and I've been referred to Maidstone hospital. I suspect that's where your mum will be referred to as well. They've got the largest eye department in the South East.
Not happy this morning with my weight! I seem to have put on over lb even though I've been sticking to plan! I'm going to not bother for a few days and have just what I want starting with lunch today!
Plan for today now:
B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
L - crackers, pate, cucumber - S; 6.5
D - lasagne, salad - HEA2; P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - lasagne
Syns - crackers 3; 25g pate 3.5 (guessing how much I'll have here!)
Have a good day everyone.0 -

You're doing well with your food with your dad visiting @Coxy11, sounds like he's relatively easy to please with his meals. They're the best sort of guests! 👍🏼
SW can be really strange at times @joedenise. I really can't think why you aren't losing your holiday gain when you've been sticking to plan. 🤔 Are you taking any new medication that might affect things? 🤔
I agree @Longwalker, it's so much easier to keep on top of things once you've got rid of all the clutter. I read the Marie Kondo book a few years back and, if you ignore some of the airy fairy stuff, she really makes sense. Once I'd seen off clutter, found a home for everything and stored all similar items together then it's second nature to put things away. I just wish DH would do the same with his stuff, especially books! 🤣
I'm having to rejig my week as DH and I have decided to have a day on the Isle of Wight on Thursday which is WI day. I'll have to go to WI tomorrow at another group so have brought my lightest, portion controlled meal forward to tonight. I always do this, along with wearing the same clothes and having the same breakfast on WI day. Last time I weighed I was 2lbs below the top of range so have a bit of leeway but I'm really hoping for STS or a ;loos would be wonderful! 😁
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- chicken (P), fried veg and pickles (S), 1 potato (F)
D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P, F, S), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- 00 -
@maman - I have recently started a new tablet for my thyroid but that it actually supposed to make it easier to lose weight not gain it! Even with my "off plan" type lunch I'm within syns, LOL!
Really looking forward to my lasagne tonight as not had that for ages. I've made a stock based cheese sauce so only the cheese to count (as HEA). Made 6 portions and used 2 HEAs of Primula Light plus 4 portions of grated cheese - 4 portions in the freezer for another time.
Good luck for a loss at WI tomorrow and enjoy your day on the IoW on Thursday. I really like the Island but haven't been over since pre Covid.0 -

@joedenise, I find it takes a while for the body to catch up. Last weeks loss was marvellous considering I drank my body weight in whiskey over the weekend
This week Im being as good as gold, jumped on my home scales on Sunday - gained 3lb - so who knows what tomorrow will bring. Oh I was tempted with a sod it but nope, Im going to this wedding in October and Im wearing the frocks and summer clothes I already have - simple as that !! lol. I haven't been abroad in at least 5 years, maybe more so its been a while since I even tried any of them on, and they were defo too tight back then. Its that thats keeping me doing my not so very best
@maman Oh I love the IOW, used to go over on the hovercraft - does that still run? Hope you have better weather then us, Im not kidding I have a winter fleece on as well as a jumper - its BALTIC hereIt was the Marie Kondo thread other on. oldstyle that got be deciding I needed to do something. When that thread first started I was like what a load of flaff - does this item bring joy? lol. But some of it sunk in and then there was a decluttering thread. so I started, one shelf at a time. Taking me years because both mum and Mr L are hoarders and Mr L leaves everything at his feet. Today I managed a sack of good linens for the charity shop, a sack of discoloured ones for the kennels , a box of bits and bobs, and mum gave up a shed load of jigsawsBut then I hit Dunelm so just as much came back in lol. Actually I just got some new cushion pads and a couple of vac bags and two very handy fridge containers for my yoghurt. Oh and I treated myself to a cheap kilner style jar for my overnight oats - it looks so very posh and tasty nowDidnt get to eat until just now, my usual rye open sandwich and now cos I wont be hungry at dinner time I shall have soup - its really thick and filling , they are having the last of the ham with egg and chips0 -
You're right @Longwalker that going off plan does take time to catch up but the converse is also true. Sometimes you can follow the plan 100% and not get a loss but it will come eventually. It's just convenient to have a weekly WI but bodies don't conform like that. 🤔
I'm sure @joedenise is fed up waiting for her loss to show up! It's frustrating when you know you've stuck to plan and she knows the plan inside out.
I'm not sure about the hovercraft but from here we have a choice of the hydrofoil (similar to hovercraft) or the ferry. The ferry is quicker but the views are better from the ferry so we're taking that this time.
Getting into clothes that used to fit is a great goal and very mse so a win all round. 👍1 -
