Thanks longwalker, you have missed so much as well, he had been in hospital since before Xmas only went in with a water infection (he does have bowel cancer but this is not the problem), total 20 weeks and in a home 3 weeks,
He had only been home 3 1/2 weeks already had one days admittance , so this is 2nd in 3 1/2 weeksbut came home from long stay with catheter along with his stoma bag(already had), it's the catheter giving repeated infections which apparently having them long term they do
and the infection in turn causes the delirium, it was horrendous just after Xmas as there had been a covid lockdown in the hospital 😥

@bubbs, your family is going through hell, just keep yourself safe, dont push yourself too much, keep your strength for the important battles ahead - of which there will be plentyHere, HC is none existent near enough. Sure its there when you are in crisis, but everyday care, the care you might need, knowing something isnt quite right isnt - hence the huge increase of pressure on the acute services and the knock on.
My good friend killed himself a month ago today, He wasnt getting the care and follow up he required. Sure it was there when it was acute, but for maintaining the status quo - nope. It wasnt mental health, he was brain damaged from a stroke, the stoke changed him from the life and soul to a shadow.0 -
Thanks Denise.
Longwalker i am so sorry about your friend.
This ward is so much better than the other one, hope they don't move him there because he will end up worse with the delirium as most have them have it and it's like they are all competing shouting against each other, i know it's not there fault but it's not niceSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -

beanielou said:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Morning all, very quiet on here this morning.
On my own for a couple of hours as DH is helping out a friend by collecting some garden furniture for her. It's a lovely day so decided it was worth doing a small wash and get it out on the line to dry. Shouldn't take long as there is a bit of a breeze to. Won't be on my own for long as DD2 has just phoned to say she's going to pop in as she's going to the camping shop in a nearby town.
I think you're right @SingleSue to exchange the enhanced mobility for a vehicle - nothing worse than being trapped at home. If where you live is anything like where I live it would be a nightmare to get anywhere without a car. I'm dreading the time I'm unable to drive.
Picked up the first pair of my glasses yesterday, just the reading ones; need to wait about another week to get the distance ones. I've been referred for cataract surgery as my cataracts have grown massively over the last week and affecting the sight in both eyes so advised not to have varifocals this time. Not happy but it is what it is. Think I may need to take the reading ones back once I get the others unless I'm able to use them for the laptop as can't use the reading ones for it so still using my old ones.
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - burger, sliced gherkins, onions in Soft Pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
D - butter chicken, rice - P; S; F; 3
HEA - milk
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - LF sausages 2; LF burger 0.5; 1/2 Tbs butter 3
Have a good day everyone.

OMG, why did I ever start on the hot press? Its not for nothing Ive been avoiding it for 3 years - yes, three years, I started the declutter in 2019 !!!What didnt help was it absolutely chucked it down when we were out. I had a full line out, they were so wet wasnt worth the bother of bringing them in so they stayed out all night and back through the spinner today. I was wanting them dried so I could really sort them, and only iron the best for packing away againStill its right blowy out there today and Ive got a partial line full in - only to fill it again. The very last load is now on - 7 in totalBack bedroom both the beds have new top to bottom - mattress protectors , pillows, duvets, sheets and pillowcases - and it does look so nice. Downstairs spare has new pillows and duvet, I had bought new covers for there recently. I have sorted out the best of the older stuff and packed away a spare bed set for each bed. 6 sets out for the charity shop and a pile of pillow cases and sheets for the dog rescue - a lot of very hard elasticated corners on the fitted sheets ( told you some of this stuff was ancient ). Just got to sort out the duvets ( cant face it right now ) and all sortedStopped for brunch. Reduced fat sausages - Mallons - were pretty tasty for 1/2 a syn, mushrooms, bacon and egg stuffed into a wholemeal pitta - stuffed to the gillsDinner tonight is a gammon I got at easter, they will have theirs as a roast dinner , I shall have mine with salad. I like something like cauliflower cheese or an onion sauce with mine if Im having with veg, which Im not wasting syns on so salad will be nice instead of a dry dinnerHope the rest of you are having a more restful Sunday0

Goodness @Longwalker, you've enough bedding to stock a hotel! 🤣 The end is in sight though even if it's taken 4 years! 😉
Sounds like you bought the brilliant gammon joints from Sainsburys at Easter, @bubbs and I did the same. I've still got one left and slices in the freezer. Don’t give up on onion or cheese sauce just because you're doing SW. You can make a sauce just using a syn of cornflour and HEAs for milk and cheese.
Hope you don't have to wait too long for your referral @joedenise. It's a pain to have to buy new glasses when your needs should change after the op. 🤔
It's dreadful how your dad goes downhill so quickly when the infections hit him @bubbs. 🤞 he responds quickly to treatment. Infuriating that just a measly half pound gain takes you out of target. But I'm always nagging you to have more syns so you'll probably lose this week thanks to the Belgian bun! 🤣
I had a very low syn day yesterday compared with most Saturdays , just 7 syns for an ice cream at the theatre. So loads left which is what I want leading up to WI this week. 🤞
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P, S), cottage cheese (P), beetroot and cornichons (S)
D- HB steak (P, S), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns - weekend wine 👍0
