We eventually got to see the Harold Fry film today @Coxy11. It was all about the journey rather than the ending. 🤔 I bet you could empathise with him on his walk!
Hope your dad is OK @ruby_eskimo. He should be more comfortable at least.
Egg and chips is my absolute favourite go to meal when DH is out @Longwalker. He doesn't eat eggs, so indulge myself. No eggs in Aldi again today so another expensive trip to Waitrose. ☹️
Glad you got to hear from your GP today @joedenise. 🤞they sort something out before your holiday. Not good that your 'new' sandals needed repairing so soon. ☹️ I've been treating myself to some new holiday clothes. All size 12 so a NSV. 👍
Busy day going to the cinema at weird time (last day of the film so no choice) but managed to fit in shop as well as everything else.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- sardines (P), HEB toast, tomatoes, pickles (S)
D- chicken pie filling (P, S, HEA2 ), potato cubes (F), rocket and carrots (S)
Syns - weekend wine 😁
There's only a shared syn in the chicken so I'm ignoring it. 😉

At home scales recorded a 1.5lb loss this week.
It's not been the best week health wise, a physio session on Monday led to a loss of speech and co-ordination and I've been struggling all week. Hours have now been reduced at work as I scared my manager on Monday (yep, I still went in), wages are now below affordability levels so goodness knows what I will do financially but I have no choice, I can't manage the hours anymore.
I had already contacted the GP on Monday morning to ask about follow up referrals for my neuro condition especially as my symptoms were up, they returned the call when I was mid loss of speech/collapse Monday afternoon and I had a face to face appointment on Thursday. Loads of referrals made including one to the TIA clinic just to cover that base, it wasn't anything to do with that as the neuro condition can mimic stroke symptoms but I'm grateful/thankful that they are checking just in case.
Wasn't in any condition to do a meal last night so we were naughty and had fish and chips.
I've been feeling sorry for myself this morning reading all the activities people are doing, my equivalent of running a marathon is getting to the toilet and my dancing days are well and truly over. Don't stop posting about them though on my account, I'm just feeling sensitive right now.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Afternoon all, where on earth has the morning gone! Haven't done much other than a machine load of washing and hung that out, popped out to buy some frozen veg as completely run out of peas and green beans - my go to veg! Just finished prepping lunch and got that in the small oven which thankfully isn't costing anything to run as there is plenty of solar to cover it. So thankful for my solar panels when it's sunny - I used some of my retirement lump sum to buy them.
Sorry to hear of all your problems @SingleSue but good that your GP is making the referrals for you. Well done on still getting a 1.5lb. loss with everything that is going on. As your wages have dropped due to your problems are you able to claim Universal Credit or something? Worth investigating.
Today's plan:
B - bacon and mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 3.5
L - macaroni cheese (from SW website) - HEA2; P; S; F
D - sweet mustard salmon with garlicy veg - P; S; F; 1.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; mustard 0.5; honey 1; 0% G&T 0.5
Have a good day everyone.0 -
@SingleSue, Im sure your body uses much more energy getting to the loo then I use so it truly is a workout for you - dont knock yourselfLast nights tea changed slightly , realised no speed so had a salad, hard boiled egg, half a mackerel fillet and a small scoop of chips. Very filling
Just had my overnight oats using the oat bran. Very very different texture, it had basically absorbed all the yoghurt and had become solidSo more yoghurt added to slacken it and it was really nice - the texture is completely different
Not sure whats for dinner tonight as its officially my day off from the kitchen. I shall try to add speed to whatever it is. I even bought some satsumas the other day, not tried any yet but at least they have made it to the house ( expert fruit dodger here )Im sorting the hot press. Its a major task - its the size of a single bedroom and indeed its also used as my office/craft room. I have more sheets and pillowcases then a small hotel but of course they sit there and yellow with age. Some are heirlooms so Im going through every item, the washing machine hasn't stopped all day, if they are still yellow after an oxywash - they are for the dogs rescue. Theres no point in keeping things just cos they were nans or given as wedding pressies when they arent getting used0
