Happy Saturday everyone, I’ve got my trainers on and running in to report a 1.5 gain this morning - and I’m absolutely delighted with that as I thought it’d be at least three times that!!
Morrisons had reduced cooked chicken on offer this morning so that’s dinner sorted 😄 we’ll have it with salad and baby new potatoes. There’s tiger bread too for the boys.
Sun is out and it’s actually quite warm here so off for an amble along the canal and will probably stop for a coffee. Hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.0 -
Hi everyone
I've been off-grid for a while, but I am ready to get back on the healthy eating wagon!
Life's just got in the way of things lately. There's been re-structuring at work which has meant that a few people who I work with are at risk of losing their jobs and that's been really upsetting. I feel relieved that I still have my job but then can't help but feel guilty about that when some of my colleagues are going through hell.
Home-wise, my FIL had a fall recently while walking the dog, he's frail as it is so myself and OH have been popping round to do little jobs for them, walking the dog and making sure him and MIL are keeping ok. Thankfully they are only down the street and FIL is doing much better but has his orders from us all to take it easy 🤣 whether he will listen of course is another matter! OH has had a 2nd nerve blocker injection in his back on Monday and I worried he'd struggle with that as he did with his first, but so far so good. So the eating has suffered, we have been eating for convenience more than anything else. Shocked to see I've only gained a 1lb but I'll take that and run. I'm feeling really bloated lately so I'm sure my body will thank me for getting right back into food optimising again.
Lots of posts to catch up on so sorry for any news I have missed, but hope everyone is well and I will try to catch up later

Change of plan for lunch! The groomers phoned and asked that the dogs be taken in 1.5 hours early so decided we'd just wait until we got home for lunch. Wish I hadn't though as the groomer took ages to do both dogs so it was 3.15pm by the time I'd cooked the burger & onions I'd got out yesterday for lunch (would have had that tomorrow if we'd eaten out!). Still at least I've probably saved syns as well as money by eating at home! Just 0.5 for the low fat burger, onions and fried up potatoes Free. DH will have a roll with his when he gets home from golf shortly.
@Longwalker - it's difficult when you don't know what's expected food wise - the best thing is to make sure that you have something healthy and that there is something for the in laws if they want something or they can order a take away if that's what they want. You don't seem to be eating very much - I'd be really hungry if I missed breakfast and lunch! In fact I was pretty hungry today with not eating until after 3pm when I usually eat around 12.30-1pm. Will just have to have dinner a bit later than usual.
Glad you were happy with a 1.5lb gain @Jellybaby when you were expecting far more. Shouldn't take too long to lose it hopefully!
Life gets in the way sometimes @cherry_22 but you've done well to only gain a lb with all that's been going on. Glad your FIL is doing a better after his fall - hopefully he'll take heed and not do too much.
Off to have a cuppa now I've eaten my lunch.

Afternoon all
1/2 off for me at weigh in and back in target, i had my fiver in my hand as was expecting to pay, just not felt it this week although been on plan. I was only out of target by the 1/2 so that was good news 😁
Had a banana at group, 3 boiled eggs on the way to pick Mum and Dad up to go shopping.
Fruit and yoghurt when i came back
Pizza, hexb, BNS chips and salad for tea 😋
Soon as i walked in i said have you lost more weight? Mum says no he is still 50kg! He looked so thin and frailbut he did not want to stay in the car he wanted to walk round, i kept saying are you ok? Yes he says, we went Lidl first and Morrisons and he did both 👏👏
Mum had 4 bags of shopping in Lidl £38.xx, went Morrisons had 1 bag £44!!! 😱 i said bloody hell that's alot and got the receipt, dad's milk, cheese and battered fish almost £20!! Terrible having an allergy the prices are stupid!

Wot no Chinese tonight @bubbs? 🤔 Well done for your loss and staying in target. 👏👏👏
You're doing really well to minimise gains with your son at home @Jellybaby. 👍
Good to see you posting again @cherry_22. That's a good result considering everything going on.
It was win/win for you @joedenise, saving you potential syns and money today. You've spent enough eating out lately. 😉
I don't think it matters if you skip breakfast @Longwalker. What mattters is that what you eat is on plan. The problems arise when people start feeling hungry later and grab rubbish like sweets and crisps. I do hope the in-laws visiting doesn't derail you. 🤞
The cricket will give you some Body Magic @annabanana82 and as you get to meet new friends as well it's a bonus. 👍
