@Longwalker don't be too scared of using your syns, I see you are using them for drinks at the moment but if you cut down on the drinking then you'll need to add some in another way.

We've all seen members not losing weight due to not having their syns, it's also helpful to have something to cut back on later on in your journey if you need too

I'm here, we've been away on holiday and then it was head on into holiday cover at work afterwards.

I had a stay the same yesterday at official weigh in, absolutely over the moon chuffed with that bearing in mind I've been away and thoroughly enjoyed eating out and birthday cake.  I was back on plan properly last Tuesday (we returned the Friday before and I had a couple of days of being off and on again with events booked) with a weight increase of a scary amount on our return home (as measured on our home scales), weighing on our home scales last Wednesday showed a loss of 2lb on my return home measurement. Weighing on our scales yesterday gave me exactly the same reading as it had been prior to going away and the SW scales agreed with that, which meant that between last Wednesday and this Wednesday, I had lost a further 5 and a half pounds.

Some of that gain would have been an artificial bounce up and water retention but I did go pretty hard core last week to get back on track.

Had some lovely surprises whilst away, found some lovely tops in charity shops which were purchased with the view that they could be tops to slim into as they are the next size down and was blown away that I could wear a couple of them straight away, in fact I wore one of them for my birthday dinner.

Middle son had a 2lb gain yesterday, however he didn't go back on plan until last Thursday and had our holiday, our extra events and then a couple of days away with old uni friends where they really enjoyed eating and drinking loads.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Welcome @Longwalker and well done on your loss so far. 👍 Like you, I use my syns for drinks but now I only drink at weekends and manage to eat virtually syn free. It's hard to address both SW and cutting down alcohol at the same time. I use the cutting down alcohol thread on here to motivate me and that helps a lot. 😁

Getting back to STS after your holiday and birthday celebration is excellent @SingleSue. 👍 And the new tops are a real NSV. 😁

Like @Coxy11, I took just under a year to get to target @Abbafan1972 . If someone said to me that I could lose all the fat that was making me miserable for £300, I'd have bitten their hand off! 🤣 Now I'm at target and know the plan I could go it alone but it suits me to keep access to the app and weigh every few weeks. It's a challenge to stay in range but I think it's worth it.

I do hope you get sorted with a new group @annabanana82. I know it's a problem in some areas but I'm lucky that we have groups almost every hour of the day and night. 🤣

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    L- bubble and squeak (S, F), egg (P), pickles (S)
    D- veggie chilli (P, S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns - 0

Evening all, I'm home now!  Got back about 4pm and have done all the washing, cooked dinner and now having a G&T.

As expected food was very definitely not SW friendly!  We ate out for most meals - so has cost an absolute fortune!  Think we ate in 3 times over the week.  Yesterday's was definitely the most SW friendly with frittata and salad although did have a couple of slices wholemeal/sourdough crusty baguette and butter.

Back on it from tonight - had cauliflower cheese with chips - think it was about 7 syns but not had much to eat whilst travelling.  Had half a bacon roll and a couple of samosas so was very hungry.  Really pleased we popped into the farm shop on the way home as got an absolutely huge cauliflower for £1.45!  I used less than half for our cauliflower cheese and we only ate about 2/3 of it as it was very filling.

Just need to finish the menu plan for the rest of the month as want to lose as much as I can with going away again early June.  If I can get back to target by 31 May then I'll go to group otherwise I'm going to lose access to the website.  That will be the last date I can weigh in order not to lose access so will just have to wait and see!

I've been full of lurgy today and went from couldn't eat anything (same as yesterday evening), until I found digestive biscuits in the cupboard. Biscuits have been my main source of sustenance today so writing today off and back to it tomorrow. On the plus side had lots of speed fruit too

It was only because my son needed  digestives for cooking at school we had them. I purposely stick to ones I don't like for this very reason.
