Well done on your pound off @Abbafan1972! Hopefully that will motivate you.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I think you've done amazingly well to lose 7 stone, having to cook separate meals. That must be very wearing.
Good to see you back @joedenise, hope you had a good (if expensive) time with your sister. It's a constant rollercoaster trying to stay on plan between holidays. I'm still dithering about when to go to WI. I planned on 25th May but that would only give me 2 weeks for reining in when I get back, I'm likely to need 2 months! 🤣
Hope you get your chicken sorted out @bubbs. I did see some instant mash in Farmfoods the other day but not sure how it works out for value. I used to stock up on the cheap sachets in Tesco but they disappeared long ago.
Shame about your lack of dinner last night @Longwalker, but a walk was probably a far better choice than comfort eating! I'm sure you'll get away with one missed meal. What sort of air fryer do you have for 4 people? 🤔 Don't be afraid of having carbs, they are part of the plan. Just try to stick with the third (at least) Speed and the protein and you'll be fine. If you're not a big veg fan then do your best and maybe eat some fruit as well.
Glad to hear you're feeling better @annabanana82. Your meatball sauce reminds me of making patatas bravas which I often used to do as a side dish. I must put it on the menu again.
🤞🏼 for WI tomorrow @bubbs and @Coxy11. Which day is your WI @Longwalker?🤔
No eggs in Aldi or Farmfoods today so bought some in Waitrose as CBA to go traipsing around any more. £5.45 for 18 eggs!! That's more than a pound more than I'd usually pay.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- lentil soup (P,S), mackerel in sauce (P), beetroot (S)
D- chicken casserole (P,F,S) with cabbages (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😁0 -

@joedenise, I dont like sausage and mash, never have done, which is why I dont eat it, and whilst I may be just a tad shy of 60, the mother still makes a fuss if Im not eating so its a huge relief to have an excuseIn fact the row last night was her telling me how to use the washing machine !!!!I also dont use syns on food - I drink. Way too much then is healthy, but it is what it is and so I save my syns for thatNot too bad a day come the end. I had pasta with a bit of parmesan and loads of pepper, I like plain pasta, I dont need a sauce , for lunch as I really was ravenous
Supper tonight was a wholemeal pitta, stuffed full to bursting with rocket, scrambled egg, dairylea lite, diced shallot and flaked mackerel and chillies - really tasty and seemed so decadent yet no syns as pitta HXB - and yes I have some very weird tastes when it comes to food
@maman I have 2 airffryers, the Ninja Dual and the 15 in 1. Both are great bits of kit and are used daily. The dual maybe more then the 15, but I love the functionality of the 15Also managed to get 5 miles in today.0 -
Morning all, looking very grey again this morning, hope it brightens up as always feel brighter myself if the weather is good. No idea what the forecast is for today as haven't even looked yet.
Sorry @longwalker it seems I misunderstood your earlier post - I read it as you didn't eat sausages with he family because of the syns - obviously not the case! I had a MIL like your mother! Seems I didn't even know how to put a nappy on a baby because I didn't do it the same way as she'd done (I used Terry nappies for both my girls); couldn't could like she could; didn't do the shopping like she did and so on and so on! It's very wearing after a time but I think you learn to ignore it.
Taking my friend and her dogs into town today as the dogs are due for a hair cut - what an expensive thing that is - more than 5 times what I pay to get my hair cut for each dog! We'll also have lunch while we're out but it will be in Spoons so I can at least choose sensibly and only use a few syns. No alcohol as I'm driving.
So today's plan:
B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F; 2
L - not sure but maybe jacket and beans or perhaps steak and salad
D - mushroom stroganoff, rice - HEA2; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light
HEB - none planned
Syns - couple of G&Ts or rum & ginger beer
Good luck everyone weighing today.
Have a good day everyone.1 -
Morning all,Also grey and overcast here, woke up and my cold seems to have come back so no run for me this morning.Cricket must have tired my Son out as he's still in bed. Despite being 13 he's usually up between 6 and 6 30 every morning.I've also signed up to play women's soft ball cricket this summer, I've never played cricket before so could be interesting. But like the thought of a different hobby and would also like to try and make a friend as I don't really have any.
Just the grocery shop to do today so going to meal plan before I go.
Food for today:
B: overnight oats blueberries 1/2 hex b
L: usually a naked noodles on a Saturday 1.5syns.Chicken, bacon and mushroom risotto free. Parmesan hex a.
I seem to be really craving mushrooms at the momentMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Its beautiful here again today. We had a thick fog roll in early last night but it cleared by 7am
Sat here listening to the roar of the bikes - its NW200 today - motor bike road race - as big as The TT. Makes a change that its dry so all the races hopefully will go aheadSupposed to have gone for a Park Run today but change of plans as in-laws are coming to stay - and the house is a tipBreakfast - nothing, I don't take it
Lunch - probably notDinner, going to go for some kind of marinated chicken/salad/jacket spud - they will have chips. Usually if we have that set of in-laws stop over its a Chinese take away. TBH I don't even know if they will even want more then just snacks, they are at their sons for the weekend babysitting whilst he plays cricket, but he's no bed for them ( wife left and took half the furniture ) All up in the air, which I find very unsettling, I like to know whats happening in advanceI will use some semi skimmed milk in my cappuccino later on as HEA but thats about as far as planning Ive gotEveryone have a lovely day xx0
