Morning all,
I’m up early to go to a boot fair 😊 We went to the theatre in London yesterday and due to train limitations we had to walk from London Bridge to County Hall and back, so 17.5k steps yesterday! The last train was at 6pm so decided to have a meal in our home town. I chose mushroom risotto which was lovely. We then got the bus(!) to the pub as some friends were there watching a live band so finally got home at midnight. Can you believe DH left the back door unlocked! I also missed Eurovision 😡
Well done @bubbs x
I’m thinking of joining the WI for the exact same reason @annabanana82!
Sorry to hear things have been tough @cherry_22 x
I've just had some tea and toast. Not sure what lunch will be yet. We are at DSis later for either BBQ or roast depending on the weather!Have a good day all

Morning all, another one up early this morning but for no reason other than I couldn't get back to sleep after I woke to go to the loo at 4.45! Went back to bed but gave up after about half hour and got up.
Have got a machine load on at the moment which I'll hang out as soon as it's finished and will then do the bedding and get the bed changed. Do like to get into a freshly made bed!
Today's plan:
B - bacon and mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 3.5
L - sweet chilli noodles with salad bits - S; F; 3
D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, roasted peppers and onions, cauliflower, spring greens, kale - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; sweet chilli sauce 3
Have a good day everyone.0 -
What show did you see @coxy? I'm trying to plan our wedding anniversary treat and despite keep ruling London out I keep coming back to it. We always walk loads in London.Last year it was the 10k outside our hotel, we left to go and find somewhere for breakfasts 18k steps later we finally had lunch - missed breakfast completely.I'm still feeling rough, so thought I'd best do a covid test before going out tested positive. Every one else seems fine, just hope I haven't passed it on to my parents as they go on holiday Tuesday.
Lack of appetite still but planned food for today:
B: overnight oats, berries 1/2 hex a free
L orbeef casserole and veg a syn or two for cornflour and a bit of mustard.

oh no @annabanana82 so sorry about the Covid. Hope you feel better soon xx. We saw Witness for the Prosecution at County Hall. It’s in the chamber where the GLC used to sit so very unusual. Great story - neither of us knew the story beforehand. Would recommend. There’s a hotel at County Hall too - Marriott I believe?Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0

Oh no @annabanana82! What bad luck, hope you feel better soon and 🤞🏼 your parents are OK.
I've seen Witness for the Prosecution @Coxy11 and it really is an excellent experience. County Hall is a beautiful building and makes a great setting for the play. I went with a friend to celebrate her birthday. Afterwards, we went into the Marriott for a G&T. If the drink prices are anything to go by @annabanana82, I think you'd be better off in the Premier Inn across the road! 🤣
Glorious day again here too @joedenise, not that it was forecast. 🤔
I'm out dancing this afternoon and there's a cream tea included in the ticket. I'm hoping that by eating a decent lunch beforehand I can limit what I have but I'm resigned to perhaps going over syns this week. It's only one 'meal' in the week but things like scones and cream and cakes are massively synful.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- LO chicken casserole (P,S,F)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P,S), roast potatoes (F), lots of veg (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine and whatever I have this afternoon. 🤔0 -
@Coxy11 and @maman Witness for the prosecution looks really good, my cup of tea not sure about the other half.We have just seen a punk band advertised relatively local, that's our plan b whilst we continue looking. But time is running out. When we were in London last year I decided to drink Champagne given I was 40 - that was £17 a glass! I've never even paid that much for a bottle of wine.
I spoke to my Mum, seems she's not well either, she was away last night but was going to test when she got home. But she's not expecting to be travelling on Tuesday now.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

@annabanana82, bad luck with the covid, hope its not too hard on you@Coxy11, Im so jealous . Thats what I miss about London, the easy access to the theatres . Mostly I have to make do with cinema screeningsI was up late, and not the best, it was a really boozy evening as expectedAlthough I was extremely good food wise, I roasted a chicken and done a salad and new potatoes. Only Sister in law put half a packet of butter on them so I couldn't have them lolAnd I was sensible enough to make up overnight oats which I wolfed down this morning - Ive the after drinking munchiesAs breakfast was so late, lunch has gone by the by, had to go into town ( our shops dont open till 1 on a Sunday ) and the smell of burgers being cooked was killing me - but I held strong and came home and ate more yoghurtMy WI day is Wednesday and whilst I dont trust my scales, I have done a sneaky weigh in and Im very happy , I hope that translates well on WednesdaySo HEB was my oatsFruit and yoghurt free
Dinner - Ill finish the salad and Ive plenty of roasted veg as well.I know many of you ladies have been doing SW a while and Im really new to it , but I do have to say Im really enjoying it. I love that Im having to make healthier choices and Im trying veggies Id usually avoid and actually enjoying them. Ive found that I dont like raw carrot as a baton, but I actually love it grated , courgettes are edible if roasted and my bread craving is slowly abating . Ive also not even looked for crisps, I put a packet in my trolly on Friday as they were on offer - and took them back out before the checkoutAnyways I need a livener before I start on dinner0 -
Afternoon all
Its a beautiful day! I got up late 9.30 😱 but done sweet FA really as i am struggling with my foot 😫 so sitting here with it up.
I made a crustless quiche, cooked a gammon and chicken for salad for tea as to warm in here today for a roast!
Anna hope you are not too porrly, i had it first time at Christmas! it killed my legs i didn't know what to do with them!
Maman hope you enjoy dancing 😁 and are not too tempted 🤣
Denise an early night for you then today !
Longwalker, my go to veg are carrot, cauli , mushrooms, green beans, bns, swede and broc, eat tonnes of cooked carrots but like you don't like battons, I detest courgettes, broad beans and turnip 🤣

Delighted to hear that you're enjoying SW @Longwalker, especially as you're trying more vegetables. It's really just a formula for balanced, healthy eating with syns as treats. You might find you like courgettes more sprinkled with garlic granules or Parmesan when you roast them. 🤔
Well done on making overnight oats, I'm sure that helped you to avoid the burger. 👍
The quiche looks amazing @bubbs. Hope you can get your foot sorted soon.
I had plenty of Body Magic this afternoon as danced solidly for 3 hours. For tea I had 2 egg finger sandwiches and a cheese scone. I had 3 syns towards the sandwich as only had half a HEB at breakfast. I'm probably going to be over for a week but not by much. 🤞0
