@Abbafan1972, thats a PITA for sure. Ive always been "Im cooking. you eat what Im cooking or you cook" type and cos they are lazy so and sos, they eat what I cook :) No actually mums not fit to cook and Mr L cant cook. So thats not something Ive come across. Ok I give the grandkids nuggets and fishfingers and burgers, but they are little, they are only stopping a wee while so I cant be dealing with the stress. Mum can be very picky, but as I say, Im cooking so at least she attempts and I do swap out for her as well, she wont eat spag Bol, but will eat lasagne ( go figure ) so she gets her Bol on a jacket potato

I can not deal with stress at the table so I can imagine that for you it can all be a tad much at times

@annabanana82 Nothing worse then the taste buds going haywire. I had flu a few years back and when I felt up to eating, everything tasted of metal, ended up eating tinned pears for a week :)

I forgot to make my oats last night. I had made the yoghurt , but didnt find the straining muslin till late in the day, so time I had messed about with that, the oats and frozen fruit got clean forgot about. Actually this batch has come out so super creamy I might freeze some as ice cream.

So breakfast was skipped. Wasnt hungry until half one ish so went to town, wholemeal pitta, warmed and opened and spread with dairylea lite, two big tablespoons of roasted veg, a one egg omelette , half a tin of tuna ( no drain ) chopped shallot, rocket and kimchi and a scant teaspoon of dressing. When I say omelette, I just smashed an egg up in the pan :)

Ive pork chops out for dinner. Its not a favourite of mine so Im not sure. Ive sprouts and carrots in the fridge and potatoes, mum and he will love it but without a jug full of pepper sauce I cant see it working for me lol. Dont like sprouts, hate potatoes, not fussed on pork. Theres some corn on the cob in the freezer that I will eat but Im certainly not feeling the love :)

I'm with you on not cooking different meals @Longwaliker. My DH is from a large family so MIL trained him well! There's no way she could have done more than one option. He likes the odd ready meal but eats those when I'm out. Your lunch looks delicious and packed with Speed and Protein. 👍

If you have Morrison's nearby @Abbafan1972, they do nice fishcakes that are 2 syns each. I think it's the cheese and salmon. 🤔

Do stay off work until you're feeling 100 % @annabanana82. Hopefully your sense of taste will get back to normal soon but well done for staying on plan. 😊

It's been a good day here @joedenise. Washing done and put away, until the next lot! 🤣

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- burgers (P, S), SW chips (F), carrot chips, tomato, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
    Syns - 0

I actually decided to do the washing when I got in at lunchtime as the weather had really brightened up.  Had it hanging on the line by around 1 o'clock and got it in just after 3!  There was a little breeze which really helped dry it quickly.

Currently cooking the lamb dhansak and it seems lovely - really looking forward to it!  Found some turmeric rice in the freezer so going to reheat that to go with it.

@longwalker when I was growing up and living at home, my Mom used to cook and I had to eat what was put in front of me! I guess it’s my own fault. Younger daughter eats out a lot and that’s because she says we never buy anything she likes but never tells us what she wants us to buy. We had some ham & cheese kievs in the fridge recently that she said she wanted but then didn’t have them. I had to cook them for my tea, as hubby has already had kievs in the same week. And they reached the use by date. It was either me eat them, or throw them in the bin, and I can’t afford to be chucking food away.

@maman thanks for the recommendation but we don’t have a Morrisons by us. Our closest are Asda & Tesco. We do our weekly shop at Tesco and use Asda for any top up shops we need. Asda is actually the closest and is literally at the bottom of our road, but they have got so greedy with their prices, it’s ridiculous. The place is untidy, the home shoppers are rude and I just hate it in there, even though it’s more convenient.

We also have Aldi & Lidl for occasional shops but only for a few things.

    xx

Ironically @Abbafan1972, there's a podcast on the SW app today about 'getting your husband on board with Food Optimising', so you're not the only one! 🤣

I do about 95 % of my shop in Aldi. 👍

Thank you for the well wishes, feeling better now and today's plums tasted like plums.

No one else seems yo share my love of sweet potato curry, so I've got a portion in the fridge and 3 more in the freezer.
It's such a cheap meal to make too
