I do envy you making your own passata @joedenise. Perhaps a squirt of puree would deepen the colour when you come to use it. 🤔
We're always away when it's time to start growing tomatoes and it seems unfair on DD1 to ask her to look after them.
I don't freeze passata on its own but am very pleased with the pasta sauce I've been making for meatballs. A box of passata is enough for 4 portions so I freeze half.0 -

I think you're probably right about the passatta @maman and will definitely add a bit of puree when I use it. To be honest we thought we'd lost all our tomato plants as we were away for the whole of June when it was very hot and our neighbour was watering them but only once a day and to be honest don't think it was really enough, we then had strong winds and we hadn't supported them very well so they got blown over! How they've survived I don't know but we're making the most of them. It's so nice to such fresh tomatoes and they are so much sweeter than shop bought ones!
Right enough about tomatoes lets get onto to today! It's very damp this morning but at least it's trying to brighten up already so machine load of washing on to hang out on the line later.
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - stuffed peppers - HEA2; S; F
D - veggie biryani - S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned but may have a cereal bar or 2 later if I want something sweet (rather than DH's choc!)
Syns - BGTY sausages 2

Happy Saturday all 🤗 on countdown to back to work Monday 😳 Don’t think I mentioned last years teacher bought me 6 bars of chocolate (Y6 class)! He said they are for bad days as I go into Y5 😲 what does he know that he’s not telling? 🤔
Welcome to the newbies 👋🏻
Been another stressful few weeks, Hospital visits/stays for hubby, coming up appointments for me & son had Covid just to mix it up!
Hosp now saying hubby to have a stent in his fistula, can’t see home dialysis going ahead at this rate 🥺. I’m also waiting for MRI appointment. My surgery pays into a private one so hopefully not too long to wait. Had a text to say I’m in the system 🤔.
WI was lb loss 🤗 since I broke up for the holidays I’m 2lb down but that’s been on and off again 😤.Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi,
Last night I had as salad for dinner, including 2 sweet potato falafels at 1 each.
Plus my other hex a choice of cheese. And 6 runs on colesla.
Plus a splash of milk for 2.5, I ended the day on 10 and a half.
I get 5 to 15 syns per day.
Today I had fruit and fiber for breakfast at 4.5 syns.
Hex a cheese
Hex a 250ml of semi skimmed milk
Hex b wholemeal bread
Lunch was a cheese salad sandwich with margarine at 3 syns.
So far 7.5 syns, plus syns for the curry sauce tonight.
I will need to add later as I still need to work it out.

Is that a bought curry sauce you'll be using? There a loads of syn free curry sauce recipes available online, well worth having a look. As mentioned before Pinch of Nom and SlimmingEats are both good websites although you need to work out the syns for yourself now as they've both been asked not to use the word Syns by SW HQ!

Glorious day here. Both DDs came for coffee but only DD2 and SIL stayed for lunch. Lasagne went down well. I had yogurt with my fruit while they had Eton mess with cream. Syns in some mayo with salad and possibly a bit over on HEA but maybe not. 🤔 I'm not too worried as feel slim enough.
Small portion of lasagne left and plenty of berries to be eaten up. I had a fry up for breakfast. Not sure if I'll want dinner. Probably snack on something SW friendly but will have wine syns as it's the weekend. 😁
That's good to be on the usual 10 - 15 syns a day @Pennypincin. Some people with a lot to lose are allowed more and I think it must be hard to get used to fewer as the weight drops.
You may have noticed that some of us save syns (in my case for the weekend) rather than have them daily. It's not the official way but it does work.
Sorry to hear things are still difficult for you and DH with health issues @TakeItEazy. You've done well to keep weight under control during school holidays.👍
I've left the washing for tomorrow @joedenise as weather forecast is excellent.0 -
Yes, it was in the food club bundle this week, I had 3 packets of it in their too.
8 syns per pack and I made so much in the slow cooker I needed 2 packs.
It works out to be about 4 syns per portion, so not too bad.Decluttering campaign 2023
