    Morning all.

Welcome @Pennypincin, that's a great loss so far!

The magazines are good for recipe inspiration @MrsPorridge and there are a few websites like Slimming Eats, Pinch of Nom etc. who post good SW recipes.  We're big fans of Slimming Eats Chinese style chicken curry in this house.

Best of luck for your walking @Coxy11 - you're doing a wonderful thing.

Hoping today goes as well as it can @bubbs - hugs to you and the rest of the family.

All your talk of bolgnese and lasagne is making me want some @maman so might have to put that on the menu for next week.

Hope your WFH day goes quickly @Jellybaby - not long now till retirement is it?

Was in the office yesterday and was very busy.  Today hoping for a more gentle WFH day.  Was very tired last night and ended up in bed at 8pm.  Realised that star week is coming tomorrow so that would explain it (plus the feeling of just wanting to stuff my face with carbs!)  Had weetabix for breakfast, lunch is either a stir fry or soup depending on what I feel like having and dinner is chicken and veg skewers with potatoes and salad.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all, a wet and miserable day here too @bubbs although it's trying to brighten up, hopefully it is for you too.  Hope today goes as well as it can, hugs to you and your family.

Hope you managed to get the coach OK this morning @Coxy11 after a hopefully good night's sleep at the hotel.  Hope the weather for your hike is good, dry but not too warm is probably best.  Good luck with it all and hope you raise plenty for your charity.

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette - HEA2; P
    L - tuna mayo and cucumber sandwich, pickles - HEB; P; S; 0.5
    D - Fakeaway KFC - P; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; not sure what else yet!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Evening all .

    Thanks everyone 🥰

Everything went ok, as we stood there a single feather floated to Mum's feet 💕💕 then he sent a wasp up my dress and to sting me on my knicker line😱 its the size of a bloody egg! We did laugh though 😂

After we went to a farm shop tea shop and i succumb to a raspberry and almon scone with butter 😋 but only had that and fake KFC all day

I think that's a lovely story to remember your dad @bubbs, the gentle touch of the feather and the bit of fun with the wasp! 🤣 Hope it's not too painful. 🤔

You're getting closer to halfway on your weightloss goal @Pennypincin . You probably balanced your syn free (but also Speed free) breakfast at other meals. How many syns a day are you allowed? 🤔

Hope the KFC went down well @joedenise and @bubbs. Friday favourite. 😁

I've prepped the lasagne and pudding for tomorrow's lunch. I didn't measure the cheese but probably OK or thereabouts for my portion. It's deconstructed Eton mess for pudding where people can help themselves to berries and meringue and cream or yogurt.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA 1 milk for drinks scrambled eggs (P)
    L- JP (F), Bolognese (P, S) pickles (S)
    L- chicken supreme (P, S, HEA 2 cheese), SW chips (F)
    Syns - chocolate 2.5, weekend wine 😁

@maman - The KFC was better than usual!  Think it was because I left the chicken pieces a bit bigger than usual - I usually make them nugget sized but bigger is definitely better as the chicken was moister.  Will definitely do bigger pieces in future.

@maman is right @bubbs - that that's a lovely memory of your dad which you'll always cherish.  Do hope the wasp sting isn't too painful as it's in a very awkward place!

Have made a batch of cherry tomato passata which I'm freezing in approx 100g portions same as I do with the carton passata LOs.  Definitely not as red as the bought passata though but tastes good!

I'm making pulled pork later in the week - any ideas what the best things to serve with it are?  I usually just freeze in portions and then use to fill rolls for a lunch but I want to make it a main meal element.

Decided I wanted a chocolate bar so had a look at what DH had got and pinched a Caramel/wafer bar - 6.5 syns but I'm still way inside of syns.
