Not many sleeps until your DS gets home @Jellybaby! 😁

The pork recipe sound delicious and so simple @Coxy11. Hope it tasted good too. 🤔

I deliberate cook extra, especially veg,, to have LOs for lunch @annabanana82. I love hash or bubble and squeak so that suits me fine. Other days I have either JPs or omelettes and I always have plenty of beetroot and other pickles in for extra Speed. Obviously it's not that easy if you are out at lunchtime.

I do hope you get good news about your dad @bubbs before you go away. I'm putting steak and chips on next week's menu. 😋
  • Thanks @maman I try to do that, just need to be quick before my OH gives out seconds!

I do feel better today, my body feels a bit more normal.

I rather liked the overnight weetabix, less so the lemon essence so I'll pick some nice flavoured yoghurt for 1/2 a syn next week.
I will however just go with the one weetabix as 2 is too many for me. But this does leave me with half a hex b for something on toast for lunch.
I'm mostly ar home for lunch, in work one day a week and I usually have a subway salad.

School meeting was fab, all about DD trip to Borneo this year so I've come back wanting an adventure too.

    Hi all,

I'm in the office and being secret squirrel on my laptop :)

I can confirm the pork fillet recipe was both super easy and really tasty. Will definitely do that one again. Could stuff with other S veg too - the possibilities are endless.

    Today's food:
B - overnight oats, frozen cherries, cherry mullerlight - HEB, free, 0.5
L - LO chilli con carne with rice, pineapple, blueberries - free, S
D - meeting an ex-colleague tonight for an early dinner. It's a burger/pizza place but they do Buddha bowl with cajun chicken so will probably go for that - syns unknown!
    HEA - milk
    Syns - ??

On a less positive note, my SIL is in hospital so we are waiting for news. She has a BMI of 10 and weighs just 4st. Clear MH issues and has taken a long time to actually get her to hospital, so hopefully they can give her the support she needs. All very worrying indeed.

  • @coxy so sorry to hear about your SIL, I hope she and your family get all the support you need and she is able to make a good strong recovery.

I was meant to be in the office today, but had to take my OH to the Dr, waste of time as the booked him to see a Dr that was unable to do carry out the procedure he needed.

    Plan for today:

B: overnight weetabix 1/2 hex b, mixed berries - free

L: LO chicken and veg curry 1 syn (no rice) added 20g of cheese as partial hex a. Hifi 1/2 hex b

D: hopefully (if defrosted) meatballs and pasta in a spicy tomato sauce. Otherwise sticky mince and rice. Syns to be determined depending which dish I cook.

Snacks: satsumas, berries and hot chocolate 3 syns

    Total expected syns 6/7

The positive has to be that your SIL is in the best place for treatment @Coxy11. 🤞🏼 all goes well for her.

Thanks for the heads up on the pork fillet. I've had chicken wrapped in Parma ham (or bacon) so good to try something different.

I've just made some tomato sauce for meatballs @annabanana82. We need a quick meal tomorrow evening so it's ready now, just need to remember to take meatballs out of the freezer.

Looking at Google it seems that overnight Weetabix is quite a thing.  The possibilities for toppings are endless but I enjoyed some almond essence with fruit and yogurt when I had overnight oats.

Well done on getting your shopping list done @Jellybaby. Obviously, you have to have food in for when your visitor comes! 😁 It's always good to be organised.

We're having corned beef hash tonight. The food search scanner says there are 12 syns in the tin I used but I did shave off the visible fat. I'll count my portion as 6 to be safe and to allow for LOs tomorrow. This is going to be one of my last synful meals as this week, allowing for some guesswork, I've sailed close to 105.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, 2 fried eggs, bacon (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- lentil soup (P,S), mackerel in mustard sauce with salad (P,S)
D- corned beef hash (F,P,S), cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
    Syns- 6
